  • This week we embark on a journey to build a DPS5015-Based laboratory power supply.
We thought it would be fun to use the Simulation Module in Fusion 360 to look at the displacement a button press will cause on a 3D-Printed front panel.
If you want to know how we added PLA to the list of materials, check out this tutorial by Autodesk: knowledge.auto...
The physical properties from PLA can be found on the article for this video on www.otinex.com/...

Did not even know that it could do multiple materials and bodies, thanks so much for the video.

Thank you so much, the Fusion version is not simple at all!

otinex, did you conclude that the force to push the front panel display button resulted in a deflection of the web of the plastic front panel was too great? And if so? did you then increase one of the depths of the various webs and retest? Was this used as a design mod in the early stages- or a design confirmation of sufficient face frame web/egg crating to support your required button actuation pressure? if there is a follow video, I'm sorry not to find it. thanks for the video.

Does Auto Desk charge extra for this module or is it built-in? Thanks for the video.

Great tutorial but include your assumptions of how you came to be. If you over-mask them let the audience know its due to either previous tutorials or the audience should already no the fact. This might take subsection steps but at least it gives strength to our argument.

Its cool but to be honest its quite pointless to do this for additive manufacturing unless the simulation knows the layer direction and all that, this assumes that the material is completely coherent which it is not.
