He's a stud. A real student of the game, which is the largest separation between him and Johnny. His talent will speak for itself in time. Maybe not yet though, since Tyrod is good in his own right.
Baker Mayfield jus rub off to me as good character and seems to be poise. The more I watch his interviews I get impressed. Wish nothing but success to him and my hometown browns
I have to say, very impressed with Baker Mayfield. He is saying all the right things. He's mature. Let's see how he performs. I think he has a great chance to be great if his physical skills translate. I don't think all the off the field stuff will make any difference. Good luck to a well spoken young man.
Bobby Banks All he needs is a little protection. Once again, you will be impressed. OU offensive schemes are like the NFL offensive schemes. He's accurate and he see the field exceptionally well. 😎👍 Boomer!✌️🙂
Mike Carter manziel was arrogant, this guy's just competitive, one thing happened in college and people act like baker is gonna be a huge problem, like he said they're two different people
I think Cris Carter made this point leading up to the draft. He brought up Brett Favre and Peyton Manning, and the effect they had in changing the culture of losing franchises. Cris said that somewhere out there is the QB who will do the same for the Browns, and that QB will have a statue in front of the stadium someday.
I not a Browns fan but he was my fav QB in the Draft and after seeing this makes me like him a lot more than I already did, he competitive and has a humble side. Johnny was not humble when he 1st came in and his recklessness was mistaken as competitiveness which was not the same as this guy has. I hope the Browns don't ruin this guy
He's quickly becoming one of my favorites from this draft. Gets more impressive by the interview. No idea how his career will end up. FB is a tough sport. That relys on fit as well as talent. But I like what I'm hearing from this young man. Best of luck Baker. I'll tell you one thing I like his firey persona & competitive nature. He was fun to watch on Sat lets see if it translates to Sun.
Baker isn’t a spoiled prima doña and he isn’t gonna waste his talent like manziel did. Seeing him playing in the nfl makes me confident, he’s playing well and with fire. He’s part of the reason that the browns are now a decent team, and with some more rebuilding he could be leading a playoff team in a couple seasons. The sky’s the limit for him, and though I’m not a Cleveland fan, I’m definitely a baker fan and I’ll be rooting for him
Tristan Radeka, if you want to change your mind and become a fan of the Browns (we've got some really great players though Baker is The Man) please know that you're welcome aboard or growing bandwagon. If you can, check out your local Browns Backers bar one week!
wow he seems so confident in this interview but not in a cocky way. No wonder the browns drafted him first. He seriously have this confidence about him that you don't find in the other QB's plus his successful on the field at OU
Baker is no joke. The guy has unspoken confidence and a demeanor of someone who has been in the league for 10 years. Should be exciting for the browns fans out there.
1st of all, as a Browns fan I am 100% in on Baker Mayfield from this interview alone. 2nd of all. I wish I knew how awesome Nate Burleson was when he signed with the Cleveland Browns. He would have been a fan favorite.
Baker Mayfield just became one of my favorite quarterbacks!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! HAHA you don't have to tell me all those stats, i know them already.....
What a lot of people don’t understand is those manziel comparison are not even fair a lot of people won’t say is that mike Evans bailed out manziel in most of this run around throw ups Baker is a true accurate thrower not just a run around and WR bail out i told people that when Johnny got drafted but nobody wanted to listen
After actually hearing this guy speak, you can't help but have respect for the dude. The maturity is there. As long as he stays like this, he's gonna be great
I grew up with baker my older brother and I played high school football with him a and I’ll tell u right now he is way different than Johnny. And trust me because I met Johnny because he went to Kirville tivy, which my school Lake Travis played against every year back when I went to school there. I’ll say again baker is and Johnny two completely different people
i honestly love baker. he recognizes his mistakes. he recognizes his blessings. he recognizes the sacrifices those blessings come with. he has humility. honestly, i believe kids should look up to him. even see the cop video and how he faces that. it’s amazing
I talked to a former nfl director of college scouting who was responsible for drafting a droty and scouted guys like AP and Sean Taylor and he said that Baker was undoubtedly the best qb in this draft and he would take him because “he’s a winner and knows how to lead men”
I one hundred percent understand why the Browns picked him number one now. There's something about this guy, his confidence or his demeanor, that just makes you buy into and believe in everything he says. And he's right, there's a big difference between stupid mistakes and one's actual character.
Fayetteville here. Go Baker! I'm a Green Bay fan but I have liked the browns for A long time { underdog fan) and I was excited when they picked Mayfield. Dude is good.
It's great to come back to rhis right before super bowl Sunday and look at all the comments. Most are on point which is surprising since it's the browns. I liked baker and darnold (and rosen, ugh, bad pick) and so far it looks on point. I'm by no means a browns fan, but baker just makes me like the browns. Ever since I saw that video with cowherd when it first came out I knew he was destined for greatness. The Browns future is so bright. Great qb, superstar running back (chubb is a freak, his broken tackle and yards after contact numbers are staggering), Landry helps too, solid line, defense is improving. 1 more good draft and a couple of signings and they're a playoff team easily.
Soul_ Pancak3 Two of the most childish and skip isn't? That man is old enough to be my grandfather and throwing tamper tantrums when Kawhi wants to leave The Spurs?.. Wait a minute are you Skips mystery child 🤔🤣. Its cool
I like that they seem to genuinely concern for Baker. Pointing out the behavior may ruin his career if he let's it get out of hand. They also pointed out some tips and overall well wishing for him. Glad to see an interview that wasn't trying to burn him
@deway gee.. how's that Baker better than Dak guarantee looking??? I can't stand the "Cowgirls" but Dak's record as a starter speaks for itself. Note to Baker if you're going to "talk the talk" you have to back it up!!!
Seeing all the comments during the season he had the horrible head coach in Freddie Kitchens is so hilarious. The guy turned it around showed why he was the #1 pick and led the Browns to their first playoff game since 2002 and first playoff win since 1995.
This guy knows exactly what he's doing and how to get in and out of situations and to also seem like a situation is what it isn't and vice versa. All he has to do is work hard, improve, and enable the Browns to win. There is no doubt, he enjoys the high life and he loves the spot-light so Cleveland needs a shine and he appears to be it.
After watching his rookie season, I would say the ball is in his court now! Proved em all wrong! Enjoyed watching it! Good luck an keep it up in the future!
I don't know how he'll do in the NFL but I like this guy. Like Tebow, he is a football player that plays QB. He actually will lift weights and workout like the rest of the players unlike a lot of the weak, noodle arm QBs so popular nowadays.
He has to mature. Get that wild streak under control, and he will. He's got that Joe Willy Namath persona confidence about him. Exciting to watch him quaterback.
I’m in total support of mayfield and just think the doubters don’t like people who win and he would win and light things up and will be the best thing in the NFL in a long time.. calling it
Well said; mistakes made don’t define you. But many people that make mistakes aren’t good people and have bad character. They’re simply not good people. That’s not the case with Baker.
What do you think about the Baker Mayfield/Johnny Manziel comparisons?
Skip and Shannon: UNDISPUTED Pathetic ASF

Skip and Shannon: UNDISPUTED Completely lazy analysis.
Johnny was wayyy flashier and faster than Baker !
Rubbish. Poor journalism thats what it is. Anything for a story.

Skip once said Manziel would be bigger in Cleveland than lebron.
Mohammed Haq yeah huu
We need Tim Tebow on Undisputed

Tenzin Havok yeah man. Very articulate and always answering without hesitation.
cause he gets asked the same questions in every interview
Very observant johnvuu. Mayfield probably practiced those answers repeatedly and became well versed on each subject.
Elite communicator
There’s character. Then there’s mistakes I’ve had. Well said, just gained yourself a new fan, Mr. Baker Mayfield

Jeremy Hayes he seems like a intelligent individual, who seems to go overboard because he loves the game that is football

maybe it's his smile or the way he sits, but he has this confidence that u rarely see... hopefully he can actually play in the nfl tho
confidence that you rarely see? it's arrogance. how many professional athletes are more WAY arrogant than this dude? you don't know anything lmao
I think it’s the beard
it's the beard. it exudes manliness
Matt R, there's a term for people like you without a beard. Women.
whatever you call it he needs to perform. Dawg pound not afraid to run off those who dont walk the walk

Because he wants to grab Baker's crotch himself
