Highly disagree. This is the best comedy anime I've seen since Gintama ended. Never stopped laughing, except on the wholesome scenes. The Maoh is the best and chillest dude in that world (he even gets happy for the princess when she makes a new friend, and when he befriends the knight he gets all over the moon). Also, the backstory of that Makai is really interesting, the Maoh actually changed it from a regular chaotic hell into a great place to live by implementing humane policies (that's why the tortures are non-violent and Makai looks like a modern city, while the Human Kingdom is still medieval and really violent).
You know what? I actually had a feeling that the twist was gonna be the humans were the “villains” the whole time (if you can call them that). There was even a cut clip I improvised where I asked if the humans were the real enemies and the demons were the peaceful ones. I didn’t think they were going to ACTUALLY go in that direction. That’s actually pretty cool. And just to stress, i still love the anime. It’s kind of why I wanted to cover it for the BMFS. The part about the repetition is still a complaint I have which can affect others’ enjoyment if they are bothered by it (it didn’t really bother me), and yeah, I complained about its stupidity, but it’s just me being me, and me not understanding that bit about the series (I haven’t read the manga, so that part must’ve left me). Thanks for this info. I might have to make an addendum to this.
@@ASLB247 Yes, much of the backstory is left implicit, the main contrast being how the princess has a better quality of life as a "prisoner" (she even get holidays) than what she had as the daughter of a king (something traiditonaly asociated with being pampered and spoiled). I don't think it's meant as "makai good, humans bad" kind of binomy, it's more like a study in how much the underworld civilization had advanced the quality of life of their citizens by having a kind and firm ruler. Anyway, I'm glad you liked it, I feel this one deserved a lot more recognition. (If you haven't seen Gintama, check it, just be aware that is way more chaotic than Goumon no Jikan).
Yeah, I was just pointing out what I said because it was kind of verging on that explanation. Not 100% but somewhat similar. And I do point out how the princess being a prisoner ironically gave her a sense of freedom to live life as a human, which is something I really like.
Finally, a new video. Man, you making me hooked to watch this anime. Few months ago, I recently discovered the rabbit hole of Vtuber and I can't get out ever since. Keep it up. EDIT: Hell Lord is a better father figure than Gabriel Agreste.

Also, Gintama?

Maomao-chan is worth signing a peace treaty.

Oh yeah new anime review!
Try Puella Magi Madoka Magica. The first two magical girls seen are voiced by Marinette and Alya in the English dub.
I mean…idk. Maybe some day, but not on a “Lol funny” day like belated Maypril fools.
@ASLB247 I never meant it for funny video, just a regular suggestion. If you see episode 3, you'll get why I think you'd like it.
