1956 Holden FC Special Sedan

Model Description
This is the model of the 1956 Holden FC special sedan that was produced on the 6th May 1956.This is part of the models produced by Carlectables which is renowned for its highly detailed models.This is another well presented model painted in Cambridge Blue over Teal blue paint. It must be remembered that these models use the same colours as was used on the real vehicles. So the paintwork is as expected,perfect.
You can see the influence of the American designs with the chrome fins and the amount of other chrome parts such as bumpers, body stripes as well as the grill. Yet with all that chrome, it fails to let the model down. All of the 4 doors open well, with both bonnet and trunk also open. I feel that the bonnet can perhaps open wider to get a better visual look under the hood.All the decals lineup as to the original vehicle and that included also on the hubcaps.All the lights are fitted well as well as the fuel cap as per the original.
The interior has that attention to detail as the exterior.One of the interesting things one finds is if you touch the seats, instead of the usual hard plastic feel we have a softer furrier feel. This shows how the plastic available has produced better quality models.We look at the dashboard and everything from the classic wheel to the addition of turn indicators right down to the instrument panel with all of the instruments readable. It even includes the mandatory cigarette lighter.
Lets now look at the engine. Underneath the bonnet is a model collectors delight is a suburb intricate and detailed engine. With just about 100 percent is shown in great detail, right down to even the wiring. It displays all of the originals as well as marking just like on the original engine,The boot has the original engraved flooring as well as having the spare tire.
So in conclusion we have a well made, very highly detailed model from top to the bottom. I love this particular two tone paint. This should be on those collectors that only the finest and this is such a model. Find only one item and that is the hood should open wider.But this said, I still will give it a 5.0 / 5.0.
