    Good thing you clarified the fact that the 4pin pwm cable cant power the fans alone.. I thought the sata cable was just an option power supply.. The Sata connector is the main source of power 😂

    hi. would it be possible to connect upto 6 fans (2 sets of 3 fans) together and use 1 ARGB header on the motherboard? my motherboard supports 3v 5a. Will be using 2 seperate sata cables for power and only use the the argb header from the core cable of fan set 1 to connect to other other set' core cable, then connect that to the argb header on the motherboard for light control.

    • @KleoYan
      @KleoYan  Год назад

      Hi Kohruyu, welcome to my channel. For your radiator fans, if you have bought the SL infinity 120 individual package. It is advisable to plug the fan load connector to CPU_Fan header of your motherboard and the argb connector to sync 2 or sync 4 to the uni controller. The rest of the SL infinity 120. You can plug the 7 pin connector to the uni fan contoller. Use the motherboard UEFI or it’s application to control the radiator fans and the L-Connect 3 app to control the argb effects on those fans. Then for thr rest of the case fans, just use L-Connect 3 to control both argb and fan rpm.
      The reason of why to plug the SL infinity 120 radiator fans directly to the motherboard cpu_fan header, if the uni fan controller fails. At least it will only affect the argb and not the fan from spinning at the rpm set with your motherboard UFEI or it’s utility.

      Hi UNISTAR, welcome to my channel. I will do this as follow

      For the case fants which you have 2 at the front and 1 at the rear, daisy chained them with the extenstion cable provided. This is another set, plug it to CHA_FAN or SYS_FAN.
      as for the argb. you dont need to have a hub. just get a splitter 2 to 1 5v 3pin argb. Then connect it to your motherboard ARGB Header

      @@KleoYan I think i might do it differently tbh. I might remove all CF120s and add 6 FC120 fans. 😂😂 But then my question is what would i do with all that reset button/case rgb/molex "hub" nonsence? I would just leave it unplugged i guess altogether? I would just plug FC120s using fan headers + rgb headers on mobo and SATA and call it a day?
      On the same note, u can connect 2 sets of FC120s (6 fans) into 1 PSU slot right? Cuz usually 1 PSU slot has 2 or 3 SATA extentions.

    I have the same fan pack, but they are as my intake fans on my Corsair 4000D Airflow case. I have this issue where whenever I start my PC, one of the fans in the pack starts going wild, until I shut down the system and turn on again. Then the fans become okay again. This happened with my MSI motherboard and it's still happening now with my Asus B760 Tuf Mobo. Any idea what could be causing this? Here's the link below:

      Hi A W, welcome to my channel, it could be your PSU is not supplying enough ampere but if it's a new PSU or 750watts PSU, you should not be having this issue. Since you have mentioned that both MSI and Asus board, it could be the fans itself. If it's under warranty, I would advise you to have your fans RMAed.
