So can you just leave the valve on the auxiliary tank open all the time and keep your oem tank primed our do you have to get in the bed and open the valve when your oem tank gets empty. Thanks
Yes we leave it on all the time but I have learned that if you have a aluminum tank they tend to sweat a lot and get moisture/water in the fuel so we’re installing a marine fuel water separator on the frame this week to stop the water from getting into the fuel filters of the truck. I hope this helps have a great day.
I ran his as a gravity feed right to the filler tube it’s been working great for him. There is a check valve in the adapter that you cut and splice in that keeps you from overfilling the trucks fuel tank and with his auxiliary tank it vents through the fuel cap. Thanks for watching and I hope this helps. Have a great day.
Yeah the way his tank was made the fuel would have to gravity feed up a little so if the tank got down to 1/8 of a tank it would quit feeding. But if you keep your fuel level high 1/4 or more it shouldn’t be a problem to run it through the factory pop out. Thank you for your question and watching the video. I hope it helps 👍
Be sure to fill the truck tank first before filling the aux tank. It will feed from the aux tank and keep the truck tank full until it runs empty.
Yeah we were talking about that the other day when doing the install . 😊👍

So all these aux tanks need is a feed line from tank to filler neck? They dont need an air return or anything?

Is there a reason why you didn’t use the factory hole in the bed to run the fuel line?
