I had a huge doll house years ago and it was fun, it wasn't that hard to put together and I would love to do it again. I had miniature furniture also. It is a very fun hobby, if you have the extra room for it, because it takes up a lot of space. Some people just do individual rooms with open boxes that they decorate and not the whole house. (kind of like shadow boxes)
What a great haul, love it. I love the doll houses. My husband and I have put together 2 and have bought a 3rd one to put together. The houses are so fun and we love it. They are beautiful and are a beautiful display piece. You won't regret it. Tyfs hugs
The dollhouse sounds like so much fun!!! ❤ I want to tell you how you have blessed me! Your so cheery and I love watching your tutorials! I would love to send you a card my crafty friend! God bless you!!!
I don’t have a doll house to decorate like that but we made a dollhouse for my daughters barbies and decorating it and then doing seasonal decorations for it is so much fun! It is relaxing and we really enjoy doing it. I say go for the dollhouse!
I would be afraid of those tumblers if I had one. Sure thing Id end up dropping it! Go for the doll house. I loved playing dolls as a young girl. How cool would it be for future great grandchildren to have this gift feom Great Grammie? ❤
I purchased a very large Victorian doll house for my granddaughter. Well I never had so much fun! I furnished it. I made a lot of the furniture my self. Know one helped me. I think you should do it, but keep it your project. Who cares how long it takes? Do it. You will love it!💕
Nice haul. On your previous video where you showed the empty spot, I thought you would be bringing in another crafting tool. I'm so surprised to hear its a doll house. That would be a great item to have and pass down to your grandkids. Love that idea.
Wow Deanna what a score at hobby lobby! You have the best store. I will check out my hobby lobby on Monday and see what goodies I find. And the doll house sounds like fun!❤
Dollhouses and miniatures are one of my hobbies. HL carries the Real Good Toys brand, which is one of the better model kits. They are easier to assemble than tab and slot dollhouse kits, but it still takes several months of work to build it correctly. Yes, the hobby can be pretty expensive. You would think “little” things would be less expensive and easier to work on than real life stuff, but it’s not always the case. Still, it is a satisfying hobby and one I enjoy very much.
I would just say to do it for you and have no expectations for the grandkids. I put together a dollhouse with my mom when I was a kid. It was alot of fun. I saved it for my daughter and she wasn’t interested in it and there it sat in the way. Also, by that time, the paint had faded, etc. If they want it, great, but they may not.
I. Absolutely.Love the waffle hearts that is there. I'm going to have to get the Hobby Lobby when the snow lets up around here. It's been so icy that I don't like to go out. I'm too old to be falling anymore. So I've been waiting for the weather to break and not have to deal with walking around and driving so hopefully I can get out next week. Next Saturday is my birthday so prayerfully. I can get out and do some shopping for myself..
I went on a purge today. I managed to get 5 file cabinets drawers condensed into three. Lots of fabric and items for the special needs ran thrift store here in town.
You need the pink couch. Shame it wouldn’t fit in your craft room. I think the Victorian house would be perfect. Shame no sale. I haven’t done that and it sounds like a big project. You definitely could put a pink sofa in there. Decorating it would be fun for you. Nice haul.
Get the dollhouse for yourself. Don't worry about leaving it to descendants. Some folks don't cherish all our crafting joys. Don't get mad if your husband doesn't want another task. Do it for you.
If you want to do it build or create a dollhouse, do it for yourself. As a mother and a grandmother, I can tell you what we make with the best of intentions doesn’t always work out that way I am an excellent seamstress, and I had all the patterns originally When American girls released them in the 80s. I made clothes for my granddaughters for their dolls most of what is available in the patterns are no longer available to purchase as an outfit. That didn’t seem to matter the fact that it wasn’t fresh out of the little red box Made it not as good or not the same. I worked hard on all that stuff, but my intentions of the well meant were not what these children see as the best I wish I would’ve kept them for myself. Yes, they would’ve gone in the doll closet, but that’s OK. I know they would’ve been loved.
OK. I’m not trying to be a downer. If you want to do a doll house, I suggest getting the smallest one. Every person I have known that have done a doll house has given up halfway thru it. Hobby Lobby does sell them already assembled & then you paint, do wall paper & furnish & stuff. Like you said, it will take you probably the entire year. I bought an already assembled one but it had some damage & after trying to repair it I decided I would never do one that wasn’t built 😂 It’s a lot of small parts & tedious work. I think you are going into in the right frame of mind, take your time, have help, etc. I just want you to be prepared, they aren’t easy or quick. I ended up making mine a Haunted house with no furniture or anything. It drives my grands crazy that it doesn’t have furniture or dolls 🤣 It’s just for display.
The prices keep creeping up $.25 here $.50 there do they think that we don’t notice? Does it affect how much we purchase ?that’s just a general question. Even at 40% off it all adds up. Even if it is incredibly cute..
Instead of buying a doll house from Hobby Lobby, why not grab one from a yard sale or Facebook Marketplace especially if you are going to craft with it anyway? You will be recycling, reusing, and it would be a lot cheaper.
I think decorating a doll house sounds like so much fun!
Great haul, Love the flowers. Those stickers with hearts but food are so cute. Thanks for sharing.
Yes! Get the dollhouse! It would be so much fun!

Hi Deanna, great Michael's and Hobby Lobby hauls. What a great idea about the doll house.
My mom and I built one when I was younger. My grandpa helped build it. It was so fun and not that hard. But it did get quite costly.
I purchased a very large Victorian doll house for my granddaughter. Well I never had so much fun! I furnished it. I made a lot of the furniture my self. Know one helped me. I think you should do it, but keep it your project. Who cares how long it takes? Do it. You will love it!💕
Thank you!!
Great haul! I love it all!

Thanks for watching! I’m glad you liked it!
Love those waffle heart stickers. 🧇 😊
Fun shopping today with you.
I think you and your grandson should build it together so that one day it would be more special to him to be able to give it to his future children.

Watch those tumbler lids. They mold easily :(
Thanks for the heads up!
