  • Overall, the 2022 Explorer is definitely not the most interesting vehicle ever. But, it is a very realistic vehicle to a lot of Americans, so I decided to highlight it on the channel. Thanks for watching, and especially thanks for taking the time to read this description!

    Bought a 2021 XLT. It's my first Ford. I'm very impressed, its so smooth and the seats feel amazing.

    Thanks for the review. I'm currently leasing a Ford Escape and my lease ends in Nov 2022. My next car, I'm seriously thinking about getting the Explorer. The carbonized gray looks good.

    Hi Tom. Does this SUV Ford Explorer XLT 2022, come with a full spare tire??? Thanks for your help.

    Is this a 2021 or a 2022 model like the title of your video says? The window sticker you show indicates a 2021 model, and seats are different than the 2022 model I'm looking at with the sport appearance package. Maybe it's just another option but just curious!

    I've have a 2020 xlt explorer. I have paddle shifters and bench in the center. I love my explorer but the material in the cabin is bluh. No issues with it though. It has 45,000 on it and it has no rattle and spueeks. I have the clothe seats and I like it way better than the viynal/leather. I also have heated rear seats also on the third row.

    Actually the iPad style screen runs Sync3 and not Sync4. It sucks that they don't, but I believe Sync4 is coming in the refresh model

    you still have same exhaust on the xlt and base and its dual even though they are 4 cylinders. the difference is without the appearance package they do not have polished tips and turn down vs protrude through the bumper.

    Do you think this vehicle would fit in a one car garage? I currently have a 2019 Dodge Journey, I drive it from Portland to Indianapolis and back every Christmas, thanksgiving, and summer. I want a vehicle with more space. I personally would never own a Hyundai or a GM product and I don’t care for the Highlander styling so I think I’m pretty much set between an Explorer or a Nissan Pathfinder. But I like the Explorers a lot.

      Would reccomend the Nissan on this one. The Pathfinder drives better and has way better quality control than the Explorer. But yeah, both should fit in a one-car easily

    I like fords, but that interior looks like a masterclass of cost- cutting exercise. I would rather have cloth than that hideous vinyl/leathetette. Thanks for reviewing.

      Toyota Highlander XLE, Kia Telluride EX, or Hyundai Palisade SEL. The Explorer is good, but others are definitely better

      @@Lowboostreviews the problem the kia and hyundai was the fact you cant really get one unless they just have it on the lot and you will get a market adjustment of 5-10k. i was quoted 6k over msrp and 8 month minium wait time at over 20 different dealers. one told me i was better looking at something else in his opinon even because of this. otherwise i probably would have a telluride right now. the highlander was way more expensive for the same options and was bit smaller inside. i was not impressed with it at all. i looked at every 3 row suv made out there. for the money i dont think you can beat the explorer. i ordered a 4wd xlt and paid 40k. if you want less expensive you can get a base model for 36k and thats what i paid and had it in less than 4 weeks. i didnt find anything that can beat it.

      @@jeffreyrigged Was looking at similar options like the 4runner, but it is smaller room space and less features. Got lucky and the ford dealership near me last friday had an Black 2022 XLT sport appearance on the way. Going to pick it up Friday and I am excited.

    • @jeffreyrigged
      @jeffreyrigged 2 года назад +1

      @@iDevn i think you will like it. i love mine. the rwd based platform is much better personally. i tried out every one of the 3 row offerings the explorer had the most power and seemed to drive more like a true suv. the only others that felt as solid where the 4 runner and durango. again im sure to rwd based. the worst driving one tbh is the other one everyone is going crazy over was the pathfinder. it felt sloppy and very unpredictable. it also had a awful seating position. people are alot more concerned about electronic gadgets vs what a vehicle drives like or how pretty some stainless trim is. the last thing i want is a screen all the way across the dash or 6000 driving aids. i turned off all of mine on the explorer. the only thing i dont like on my ford is the rotary gear shift but that or something similar is common on all cars now.

    • @iDevn
      @iDevn 2 года назад

      @@jeffreyrigged Yeah I do not like the rotary gear shift either. Ended up buying the explorer without test driving it (kinda bold move) but otherwise I would have to wait like 6 months for it to be built. So I am hoping that I will like how the vehicle drives. It had everything I needed plus I am looking forward to the RWD. 2 more days till pickup and I'm so impatient.

    I would never pay $44,000 for a vehicle or above as soon as you drive off the lot they aren't worth $20,000 even the second hand ones are outpriced no thank you they're nice but I won't pay that price

    • @jeffreyrigged

      in todays market a used one cost as much as a new one. it was actually cheaper to order one as well than buy it off the lot. 16s and 17s in current market are in mid 30k rn.

      @@NH-TRUTH-SEEKER you havent really car shopped lately and yes you are getting screwed when you buy anything right now or in general. todays market a 10 yo truck with 200k miles is over 20k right now. in the current market you can sell one a year old for the same that you paid new. i dont like it but it is what it is. a 10 yo explorer with 200k miles book is 8k. few years ago that would be like a 4k car if that. had my wifes other car not been totaled i wouldnt have bought one. i looked for 6 months at used 3 row suvs. anything i found that had 50k miles or less was as much as i could pay for new one minus one tahoe that was 10 years old. the car lot i bought mine knew from sold a used 20 explorer with 40k miles and same options except buckets in the 2nd row which is a no cost option for 42k. i paid 40 out the door got a lower interest rate and a brand new car.
