Any TRU Squat machine moves like a sissy squat which the movement is backwards and down (more quad engagement). The Hammer Strength plate loaded squat moves down and fowards like doing a squat, more overall leg muscles. TRU Squats are hard on the knees more than regular squat machines, but that varies on the brand.
I don’t see these machines gaining much popularity due to their expensive price tag. I would very much like to build a home gym around this companies series of lever machines but I can’t see myself spending 50-100k USD on a home gym…. The most I would be willing to go is 15k USD…. And that’s pushing it. Sad because I think this company is the second coming of nautilus…. And if they really wanted to become a mainstream success. They should seriously think about a better price point.
What’s the difference between true squat and pendulum squat machine?
The feeling is very different, but the TRU squat is more quad dominant over the pendulum squat.
Totally different feel , like the name says it’s a lot more like a true squat motions up and down rather than a pivot motion like the pendulum
What an electric personality! Just kidding. He seems like a lovely lad. Very interesting machine.
