Had that engine in my Allis 7000. Good haying tractor but not a field one. No sooner bought it and it broke the shaft on the injection pump,1300 $ later it was running again. I was disappointed because it couldn’t outpull my Case 930. If that engine went below 1800 it couldn’t pull the hat off your head. I should have bought the Case 2290 that l was looking at. Lost money on that tractor at the auction
Good story, thank you for sharing! I would like to see this motor go somewhere other than the scrap yard, i think other than the transmission it’s the only thing left worth saving on this unit
@@don66hotrod94 sorry my Uncle had a 190 xt series 3 he bought new (which I have ) and later bought one of the very last 1070. The 1070 could never hang with the xt, even after the dealer turned it up. Allis Chalmers and Mack are the only 2 companies I know where displacement didn't follow the no replacement for displacement rule

Nope actually the barn it was in fell on it and crushed the cab and grain tank enough where we didn’t think it would be worth fixing

Yup, that 2290 would have been way better than the mouse motor in an AC 7000.

That sounds about right, I couldn’t find an id plate on it but I don’t know where to look on an allis motor
It's a 301 but it would be considered a 649T
