John and Joe finish off the soakaway with 150mm of pea gravel and around pipework, then backfill the soakaway pit with earth. It's time for Friday fry up as is tradition with build with a&e. John goes for the full English where as Joe takes the healthy option of the hipster breakfast. Next is to continue with the job of raising soil pipe ready for block and beam and the guys find a neat way of adapting pipe t-piece. Joe jumps back on the bosch gsh 27vc demolition hammer to break up concrete and clear around concrete footings ready for mot base. Next up is to finish hand digging footing for underpinning existing building and prepare for a concrete lintel between new footings. Then the guys can set out lines on footings for the brickies to start work. Finally Joe has to drill holes for rebar in footing and shuttering footing before the final concrete pour.

When mentioning the new footing going under the original foundation at 7:28, is that a similar concept to underpinning of foundations?

Usually starts at £1,000 m2 and goes up to £2,500 depending on spec
I mean if you cut off the fat from the bacon and do scrambled or fried eggs and you've got baked beans there and some tomats and a couple of bits of toast, I honestly don't see how a cooked breakfast is that unhealthy... but maybe that's just me!
