You can also take bus 200E and change for other bus, tram lines or metro 3 on it's way. :) Yes, you have to change once more, but a single ticket for bus 100E costs 900 HUF and a 24 hour ticket (which is obviously not valid on bus 100E) costs 1650 HUF.... ;-)
To make it clear... there are 2 bus routes serving the Airport, 100E and 200E 100E for 900Huf one way, straight to the city Centre starts every 10mins in the rush hours. The other route 200E takes you to Nagyvarad tér where you need to change to metro line M3 to the city centre. But this might takes you an hour. Could be fine for you if you like cheaper options. You can get the 24hours ticket or 48, 72 or weekly whatever...and you have unlimited rides for all transport in the city! Buses, trams, metros.
Thanks for the most informative video. What is the stop in front of the Astoria hotel call. Does the bus stop there automatically? Thank you in advance ❤
You are welcome. The stop in front of the Astoria Hotel in Budapest is called **Astoria M**. This is a major intersection and a key transportation hub in the city, served by both bus and metro lines. The name comes from the Grand Hotel Astoria located at this intersection.
I'm not certain I hope someone can answer. A single usually means a single however a specific destination ticket will usually allow you transfers going on experience. However, hopefully someone can confirm before you go there.
I would advise using the taxi company (via the app) - bolt - use the code HFDHF- with that code it will likely be a free ride entirely and cheaper than the bus.
You failed to mention the bus number.I know there are 2 buses from the airport- the 100E and the 200E(which only take you halfway then you take the Metro.) If you are trying to inform people on travel then you need to state the bus numbers.
There’s a Metro station right next to the Hotel Astoria. The 100e bus takes you to centre and 200e takes you to closest metro station from airport. Like I say - Google maps is your friend - use it when you arrive it will tell you the best route to take.
The bus number that connects Budapest Airport (Liszt Ferenc International Airport) to the city center is Bus 100E. This express bus service operates between the airport and Deák Ferenc Square in the heart of Budapest. The bus is a convenient option for travelers heading to the city center, offering a direct route with limited stops

can I transfer to other bus/tram/metro on the same tichet?
I'm not certain I hope someone can answer. A single usually means a single however a specific destination ticket will usually allow you transfers going on experience. However, hopefully someone can confirm before you go there.
I must have bad luck with Budapest because every time I go it seems to stink of unmentionables...
Expand....? :)
Hey there. Are there bus at any time? We will arrive by 2am. What would you advise?
I would advise using the taxi company (via the app) - bolt - use the code HFDHF- with that code it will likely be a free ride entirely and cheaper than the bus.
The wondering Englishman thanks so much

It’s why I pinned the comment to the comments board 4 years ago: too comment has this information. Hopefully videos from present day are more exact :)
do you have to validate your ticket once you are on the bus?
Really depends on the model of bus. Have no fear and ask driver if unsure. They aren’t unfriendly.
What's the quickest way from Budapest to Ajka?
Google maps is always your friend for questions like this.
How far is the metro from where you get off ???
There’s a Metro station right next to the Hotel Astoria. The 100e bus takes you to centre and 200e takes you to closest metro station from airport. Like I say - Google maps is your friend - use it when you arrive it will tell you the best route to take.
Do you have to validate your ticket inside the bus right?
Can buy on the bus and also validate on the bus.
What is the bus number please?

Thank you. We are staying at Astoria hotel on September and we have to get out at Deak Ferenc Square station right?
Ride 2 stops and get off at Astoria M stop. It’s practically next to the Astoria hotel. Very easy! :)
Thank you again🙏
