It wasnt an existing character trait it was a new trait. I guess you could say they flanderized how boring he was but even then there wasnt that many episodes with him before his boringness became apparent

I once went to a museum and one of their "abstract sculptures", undoubtedly super expensive, was just a metal plate on the floor. The description said that it was meant to resemble a coffee cup that was flattened after lying on the ground for some time. It's good that that alone was hilarious because otherwise, it might have been the most boring sculpture in the world (except for the other ones by the same artist that were also there.)

Honestly, it might have been uncomfortable but I 100% guarantee she told the other waiters and they were all watching intently to make the shift go by faster or at least be a bit more interesting.

You need Teddy to appreciate how great Jake is as a partner Mainly, he couldn't accept in season 2 how Amy dumps him so he tried to make her change her choice every chance he got, while Jake respected Amy's choices and didn't try to do anything while she was dating him Teddy also claims that Jake stole Amy from him, where Jake perfectly knows she doesn't belong to anyone and she's free to make her own decisions. That should sound like the perfectly natural opinion *because it is*, but way too many people are still like Teddy Be a good guy, be like Jake
Yes to all of this, thanks so much for posting this, I wonder if Teddy was an extreme example of the not so nice 'nice' guy trope as he didn't respect Amy's feelings or choices and didn't respect Jake and Amy's relationship or the women he dated after Amy (I still kinda wish he hadn't been in the finale and can't get over him proposing when Amy was so happily married and pregnant with Jake's kid and Teddy was married with a kid on the way), whereas Jake was always supportive of Amy's choices, feelings and dating life and respected that she was her own person with agency. Just hoping that guys take a page out Jake's book about respecting women and being a kind, supportive, amazing partner and follow his example and learn from him and not from T*ddy.
