This was nice. I was hoping you can do a bit more with some characters, like a Z-drop bomb combo with Link or those crazy bomb ledge combos with Samus. But overall this was enjoyable. The part with the streamer was really heartwarming!

I think the best way to know what is a gimmick and what is not is knowing what COUNTS as a gimmick, I believe a good way to describe a gimmick is "A certain ability/move/mechanic a character has without repeating, that can potentially change their fighting style, having some sort of advantage against opponents" Using this description, this can mean a lot of things: -A parry is a gimmick, since blocking perfectly can give an advantage in battle by at least one attack -I believe dodging nor grabbing, even just a normal block DO NOT count, since every character can do it without an experienced player using them. -Grabs like Toon Link's grab, Luigi's grab, Samus's grab and others that are similar (because of their distance) could count, but since they all share similarities in this move, they don't count. What DOES possibly count is some specific move: Luigi's grab, since it drops the plunger after grabbing, this means you need to kill with it, since it's a "unique gimmick". -Toon Link, Young link, Samus, Dark Samus grabs do damage when used in the air, but they all share that feature so it doesn't count. This means that any gimmick we know that repeat themselves (like Mario and Luigi's Up B or Mario and Doctor Mario's Side B) do not count. -Properties and Gimmicks are not the same (in my opinion) Property is like Fire from Mario attacks or Captain Falcon, Gimmicks are something that affects the fighting style of a character in battle. For Bowser he has to brake a shield with down b, the same goes for Marth and Lucina, (I feel like up b stage spike is really stretching it) with doctor Mario the down b has to be on the ground (just because of the armor) and Ganondorf has to hit a volcano kick and Warlock punch. Edit: I fell like getting a kill with both Ice climbers hitting the opponent at the same time is good enough (after all they're supposed to be 2 characters in one) also for Sheik it could be throwing the granade as an item (it's very hard but there's a way to cancel it by hitting Sheik on start up and then you get to pick it up)

Here are a few characters' gimmicks that you should keep in mind in later episodes: - Ice Climbers: die because of Nana's dumb CPU (or maybe win because of her dumb CPU, although that's significantly more challenging). - Zelda: win a game with only special moves (no, walking isn't allowed). - Pichu: go past 100% only through self damage. - Megaman: not exist. - Little Mac: never do an aerial attack (that includes aerial specials). - Belmonts: Zelda but with a bad Up B. - Steve: Steve. - Waluigi: pain.
I consider gimmicks to be different from spikes, and I think this is partially subjective, but I'll only speak for my mains: Cloud: #1 Finishing touch(limit, down B), #2 Blade beam(limit, Neutral B), and if you wanna count it- #3 Gimping with regular Blade Beam.(probably the most "gimmicky" out of all of these, not counting Up B when enemy's are in the ledge because you already did it as a spike and it's just a suicide move, not particularly gimmicky imo, but if you wanna count it then it has to be the one were you are recovering, they are standing on the ledge, and your up B catches them but you grab the ledge and they just get clipped out. It's harder to land then just a normal suicide up B) Olimar/Alph: #1 Gimping/ledge guarding with Purple pikmin. And if you wanna count it and show it off (#3) there's also his short invincibility/armor frames during his whistle(down B), but be warned, the window of it is short. Sephiroth: #1 obviously down smash shield break, and while you're at it why not make the full combo of fallowing it up with fully charged neutral B fallowed by quick forward smash,(Down smash, Neutral B, Forward smash...make sure to space out the Neutral B so you have enough time for the forward Smash to come out and land). #2 gimping with side B and/or killing with shadow flare. (one is the initial side B hit, which can be used to gimp but it's harder to get a kill off of sense you need to go off stage and you can SD because of it, the other is the delayed shadow flare damage that it does and can easily kill if they are near the boarder of the screen)..if you wanna count Down B counter then there's also that- I'm 50/50 on wether or not it should count, it's mostly just another counter. Oh, and I guess killing with any smash attack while in One-wing mode for the super armor effect could count as a use of that gimmick(but you have to get hit first, otherwise it's just a regular smash attack, nothing Gimmicky about that). overall, I think gimmicks are unique kill moves/abilities that a characters can do that can be harder to land or utilize than most spikes, hence why a lot of gimmicks are kinda hype. Most of the gimmicks are special moves, or are part of a combos that utilize a unique property/attack of the character to kill off the opponent with it, or are passive abilities that grant super armor, invincibility or a reflect status(while causing the opponent to KO due to it; if it isn't part of a KO that causes at least a handful of people to rage quit or feel embarrassed from it, then I don't think it's a gimmick).
although it's not as heavy as it used to be I would argue ness's back throw was his most know gimmick. every one knew how strong it was and people still talk about it today.
Another one is when link shoots one arrow normally and it his the ground you can pick it up and then use it however you like you could just toss it but if you also press neutral while holding you then shoot 2 arrows.
For when you get to Bowser Jr., the main gimmick I think is the rattle kill (aerial out of up-B). You can confirm into it from side-b at like 70-90 depending on character weight! F-smash is probably also an option.

Property is like Fire from Mario attacks or Captain Falcon, Gimmicks are something that affects the fighting style of a character in battle.
Now that we have that in mind, we can try and make a list, "try" since the description of a gimmick can and will vary, keep in mind, this is hard and I will only count special moves, the rest, good luck:
-Mario: none
-DK: Down B, grab, Neutral B
-Link: The light that he shoots when at 0%, Down B (while it is similar to Snake's C4 and other objects since you can throw it, the combination of these properties make this move "unique")
-Samus/Dark Samus: none, since they are the same character with different properties but same moves
-Yoshi: Up B (maybe), Side B (maybe, because of the properties of this attack), Neutral B
-Kirby: Down B
-Fox: Neutral B (you can't kill, only hit before enemy dies), Side B (Falco's Spikes, so that's why it counts)
-Pikachu: none
-Luigi: Up B (critical hit), taunt, Plunger (after grab)
-Ness: I literally don't know, seems like all the moves are different but also similar, since Lucas also has them, they either affect the opponent or your fighting style differently, or have different properties but not that different
If I had to say one, I'd say Neutral B is the only exception
-Captain Falcon: Side B, Ganon has one, but CF's spikes and Ganon dies with you
-Jigglypuff: Rest, probably Sing but again, Hero has that but it's a proyectile
At the end, it all depends on how and what you classify as a gimmick, Cloud's Limit doesn't count since you need to use a move to use it, but it can count since you NEED to get limit before using this "different" moves
I sincerely tried to do this but after realizing that Mario, Luigi and Dr.Mario have a similar but different Neutral B, I consider this impossible, but hopefully my introduction to this comment helped.

1. Cargo sticky walk, can lead to strings that kill at zero
2. Cargo walkoff back throw, b reverse down b into dair (kills at 0 if they missed the tech, but the missed tech follow up is reactable)
3. Cargo run off forward through, jump back into momentum cancel down b (can lead into a follow up down air at certain percents)
4. Ding dong, I’d consider this more of a kill confirm but I’m sure someone thinks it’s a gimmick
5. Cargo turn around run off forward throw to dair
6. Cargo run off forward throw into b reverse charge cancel bair or dair
7. By ledge Aerial down b into footstool, jab lock into push off grab (can convert into ding dong or run off cargo into imagination)
There might be more im missing but DK definitely has the cheese.

Link's greatest gimmicks are his fsmash blade beam and his reverse up b while recovering hitting people standing near ledge and sending them offstage.

For Bowser he has to brake a shield with down b, the same goes for Marth and Lucina, (I feel like up b stage spike is really stretching it) with doctor Mario the down b has to be on the ground (just because of the armor) and Ganondorf has to hit a volcano kick and Warlock punch.
Edit: I fell like getting a kill with both Ice climbers hitting the opponent at the same time is good enough (after all they're supposed to be 2 characters in one) also for Sheik it could be throwing the granade as an item (it's very hard but there's a way to cancel it by hitting Sheik on start up and then you get to pick it up)

I think it'd be better to "abuse every gimmick" rather than have to kill with them. Some gimmicks are huge but you can't kill with like megaman lemons or yoshi double armour

My favorite part of Samus is that up B. It's not the hardest to hit, it's fast, static-y, and can kill so it's so satisfying!
Even though it’s be impossible to kill Sami’s’ down b is the most unique thing she has even in her own games
I'd say Samus's two gimmicks are Power/normal missile with tilt/smash input on a special, and the other is down b bomb, with the morph ball and everything.

Here are a few characters' gimmicks that you should keep in mind in later episodes:
- Ice Climbers: die because of Nana's dumb CPU (or maybe win because of her dumb CPU, although that's significantly more challenging).
- Zelda: win a game with only special moves (no, walking isn't allowed).
- Pichu: go past 100% only through self damage.
- Megaman: not exist.
- Little Mac: never do an aerial attack (that includes aerial specials).
- Belmonts: Zelda but with a bad Up B.
- Steve: Steve.
- Waluigi: pain.

I consider gimmicks to be different from spikes, and I think this is partially subjective, but I'll only speak for my mains:
Cloud: #1 Finishing touch(limit, down B), #2 Blade beam(limit, Neutral B), and if you wanna count it- #3 Gimping with regular Blade Beam.(probably the most "gimmicky" out of all of these, not counting Up B when enemy's are in the ledge because you already did it as a spike and it's just a suicide move, not particularly gimmicky imo, but if you wanna count it then it has to be the one were you are recovering, they are standing on the ledge, and your up B catches them but you grab the ledge and they just get clipped out. It's harder to land then just a normal suicide up B)
Olimar/Alph: #1 Gimping/ledge guarding with Purple pikmin. And if you wanna count it and show it off (#3) there's also his short invincibility/armor frames during his whistle(down B), but be warned, the window of it is short.
Sephiroth: #1 obviously down smash shield break, and while you're at it why not make the full combo of fallowing it up with fully charged neutral B fallowed by quick forward smash,(Down smash, Neutral B, Forward smash...make sure to space out the Neutral B so you have enough time for the forward Smash to come out and land). #2 gimping with side B and/or killing with shadow flare. (one is the initial side B hit, which can be used to gimp but it's harder to get a kill off of sense you need to go off stage and you can SD because of it, the other is the delayed shadow flare damage that it does and can easily kill if they are near the boarder of the screen)..if you wanna count Down B counter then there's also that- I'm 50/50 on wether or not it should count, it's mostly just another counter. Oh, and I guess killing with any smash attack while in One-wing mode for the super armor effect could count as a use of that gimmick(but you have to get hit first, otherwise it's just a regular smash attack, nothing Gimmicky about that).
overall, I think gimmicks are unique kill moves/abilities that a characters can do that can be harder to land or utilize than most spikes, hence why a lot of gimmicks are kinda hype. Most of the gimmicks are special moves, or are part of a combos that utilize a unique property/attack of the character to kill off the opponent with it, or are passive abilities that grant super armor, invincibility or a reflect status(while causing the opponent to KO due to it; if it isn't part of a KO that causes at least a handful of people to rage quit or feel embarrassed from it, then I don't think it's a gimmick).
although it's not as heavy as it used to be I would argue ness's back throw was his most know gimmick. every one knew how strong it was and people still talk about it today.

For when you get to Bowser Jr., the main gimmick I think is the rattle kill (aerial out of up-B). You can confirm into it from side-b at like 70-90 depending on character weight! F-smash is probably also an option.

For anyone curious what croptaze was saying in that part where the editor couldn’t understand him, he said “c’est un gars qui, uh, qui joue de Smash” which pretty much translates to: it’s a guy who plays smash.
Then he said, “et j’ai mit une sal clip la, je l’est detruit sur in stock” (excuse my spelling French speaking folks) which translates to I got a nasty clip where I destroyed one of his stocks
