Its kind of a horror game where you have to go down a hallway and check if theres anything different about it. Sometimes posters move, cameras move, signs change slightly etc. If its wrong/not the same then you turn around and move on to the next level (you can see the big poster with 8 -> at the end). To get multiple obvious ones back to back (the twins, no smoking posters all over) is rare and saved him a lot of time!

So in order to make it past the level you have to be sure nothing is out of place or there isn't some thing added hence the twins two times in a row, that's a rare occurrence. So if the level is the exact same you continue forward, if it's off even one small detail you turn around to advance still

there’s a fast explanation: it’s a game where u need to get to exit 8, u start on level 0, each time u run through a corridor where there is a chance of an anomaly appearing/ not appearing, if u see an anomaly u need to turn around, if there is no anomaly u go straight, every time u guess right the level increases by 1, if u are (for example) on level 5 and u missed an anomaly, when u run to the end of the corridor ur level is gonna go back to zero, I think that’s pretty much it

The chances of having twins 2 times in a row (assuming no mistakes) is incredibly small.
Meanwhile chances of having the same anomaly twice in a row is 1,61%
It's because the formula of having the same event with x probability happening n times in a row is: 1/x^(n-1). Assuming the probability each time stays the same.
In our case we got the twins at the end of the cycle, which means now each anomaly can occur. So if game rolles anomaly we have 1/31 chances of gettign twins and since each roll between normal room and anomaly room is 50/50, we have 1/62 chances of getting the same anomaly in a row.

Context: This is a game called Exit 8, a Japanese Spot-The-Difference horror game where you must pass 7 corridors to reach the 8th exit. Each corridor seems identical, though as you advance small anomalies will appear that require you to turn back to the previous corridor then advancing again all the way til you reach the exit. Failing to notice the difference/anomalies in a corridor will reset you back to corridor 1.

Genuinely curious, does looking for "exit 8" sign help you, or do you have to go back and forth 8 times anyway? Bc the the corridor first appeared in the video had "exit 4" sign on the wall and "exit 5" the next and so on, and it's only the last corridor that had "exit 8" sign on the wall. So if I'm understanding the rule right, you can just head to the next corridor as soon as you see any sign other than "exit 8"...
@@eriw6705the sign you are referencing is an indicator of the level the player is currently on. It resets to “exit 0” every time you make a mistake (going forward if there was an anomaly and turning back if there wasn’t currently one). When the player is near the sign he already passed the checkpoint and made a decision, it cannot be seen while in the possible-anomaly area. Therefore, the sign is simply there to check whether you made a mistake or not. There will be a corridor after it, but it does not imply whether the next level will contain an anomaly or not. Hope I managed to answer the question

Context: The game is called “Exit 8” where you go through seemingly endless hallways trying to find Exit 8. Anomalies (the multiple no smoking signs and the twins) appear and you have to turn back as quickly as possible. Its really hard to get to exit 8 because of how slow and repetitive it is (as well as it being hard to spot some anomalies) but his gamed glitched and he beat it.

You are stuck in a hallway which might have some "anomaly" in it. Like those two mans, drawings on walls or a flood etc.
If there's an anomaly (you'll have to look for it) you turn back and go the other way, if there is no anomaly you go straight. If you fail then the game restarts. :D

For Context...
This is a Videogame called "Exit 8" where you are meant to Exit through 8 hallways identical to the one you spawn in, until you reach the stairs at the end. The catch to this game is that at times the hallways are different from the original intended. Where if the difference is spotted you are meant to walk back to the hallway you came from, additionally moving you forward a level. If there are NO differences, you move forward as intended, moving you up a level. If you fail to spot the difference and continue forward, you restart from the beginning. The differences in which the hallways are set are random. So each anomaly (difference) is based off RNG. This lovely speedrunner had the fortunate luck to run into Twins (which is a difference because there's only one Man) multiple times in a row. Obvious differences allowed him to get the World Record in beating Exit 8.

Basically, he is trying to spot if anything is different from the base hallway. If nothing is different, you keep going, but if there is a difference, you go back. Events are fasters because you don't need to walk the entire hall. Twins is good because you see it happen really quickly and can turn around faster. I think the events aren't supposed to happen twice in a row. That's why he was hyped.

i love that finally there’s a video i get that no one else seems to. it’s a game called exit 8 (i think) and basically you have to walk through a hallway and if anything out of the ordinary happens you turn around and walk the other way, each time you do it correctly the “level” of the subway you are on changes. you keep doing that until you reach exit 8 and you win. he’s speed running it and he somehow got the same “out of the ordinary” event back to back, helping him win faster

If you don’t understand, the way the game plays is you are stuck in a infinite loop that at times will have something different about it, if theres something different in the hallway you return back the way you came, but if the hallway seems normal then you continue down the hall and into the next level. You keep doing this until you pass a couple of levels/stages and then when you see stairs, that means you finished the game

For those who don't know what the game is about, it's essentially a spot the difference loop anomaly. You're stuck in a subway, and you have to spot the difference (if there is one). If there isn't, you keep going forward. If there is, you go back. You have to do it successfully 8 times in a row, or it resets. The reason he was so confused about the twins twice is because the game can't put the same two anomalies in a round
