I this is by far the best travel video with the renegade. I wish I could do something like that with my renegade trailhawk. I watch this video over and over again and get wanderlust. I'm from Germany, something like that is hardly possible here and in Europe
The song almost started annoying me until I listened as it went on. It got really, really good. That Renegade looks GREAT BEAUTIFUL COUNTRY we got here!.. I’ve lived in Tucson Az. Grand Junction Co, Yachats OR & Plymouth Massachusetts and that little rig can go anywhere

I've been on many of those trails in a rented Ram 1500 with crappy stock Goodyear tires. With a short wheelbase you don't necessarily need tall tires, but you need good tires! The sharp rocks can cut a road tire - I know from experience at Gemini Bridges near Moab. :(

Wonderful nature! ... how many days are you traveling there? ... do you have to refuel? ... how far does the jeep go? ... What has changed on the chassis of the jeep Renegarde ... I am surprised, in Germany I hardly see a Jeep Renegarde with a higher suspension. I was in Norway in 2019 trip with the VW T4 Westfalia 2.5 TDI Bulli ... That was also very adventurous with an old box: D ... Today I drive motorhomes Citroen Jumper (identical to Ram Pro Master) and the Suzuki Jimny FJ as an expedition vehicle with roof tent from Gordigear. I have to say America has a lot to offer. That was a 6 weeks trip! The Renegade did a great on many difficult terrains but it was to much modified so we had a CV axel issues during the trip! He got a 3” lift with 245/75r16 and a lot of weight on this little Jeep! I have now a Wrangler which is a lot more stronger!

Inspiring video for the Trailhawk and your locations - I just bought a 2017 stock Renegade Trailhawk here in Skiathos Greece and am inspired by the upgrades and capability / kind of terrain you put yours over, although I noticed you switched up to Wrangler after two vlogs? I’m planning a few upgrades and them over landing trips in mainland Greece and other EU locations.
@@ROUTES_SAUVAGES Thanks for the advice Steven, Greece trails are not as rugged as what you have shown in the US / Canada so it will be mainly camping oriented gear and some off-road tires / tow bar for a teardrop camper over time and loved your rear wheel set up too!

E- Ray thanks! The Renegade has a 3” lift with 245/75r16 ! But I don’t recommend this setup because it’s too much for the Renegade! I recommend 2.5” lift with 245/70r16 ! 1.5 lift kit combined with 1” Eibach Springs!

Yes I plan my trip to kinda make a loop! I plan the trip from main places that I knew I wanted to go ( mainly places that I saw on other RUclips videos ) and also explore random places along the way!

16x8 ET13 from 2003 Wrangler Rubicon with 1” adapter spacers 5x110 to 5x114.3 . Tires are KO2 245/75r16, a lot of trimming is required for this tire size!
so you're saying the jeep renegade is a pretty capable little offroad car. are you fully satisfied with the overall mpg? can you tell me what you don't like about it in your own opinion? what are some of the things that you love about it? what's the biggest tire you can fit / 33"? and the lift upgrades? what about body armour, does the engine support installing steel body armour, since steel parts are so heavy? i'm stuck between buying a renegade or wrangler ...just trying to get a much info about both vehicles before i buy
The Renegade was great but not enough strong to support offroad modifications like steal bumper and big lift kit.. I had a lot of issues because my Renegade was toi much modified.. If you buy a Renegade I recommend really small lift kit with maximum 235/70r16 .. if you like the wrangler go for it ! I’m in love with my wrangler now and I do not recommend buying a Renegade. 🤙🏼
How many miles do you have on your Jeep Renegade so far? Had any reliability problems? Have you changed out transmission oil or coolant yet? Or what they call differential oil as well? If it has it? You really put this Jeep through a lot. I have a 2015 Jeep Renegade trailhawk but I don’t take it on trips like you lol. It’s been a daily city driver and I wonder if I should get those maintenance routines done but I have no idea how to do it on my own. I would have to take to dealer. Everything is sealed in this Jeep and way over my head to work on my own. I just change the oil myself. I have 31,500 miles on mine so far and I want to keep it in tip top shape.
~45k miles ! Had some problems with CV axels due to 3” lift and heavy modifications.. overall nothing else! I’m not a pro about self maintenance so it’s better to bring it to the dealer to take care of it !
Appreciate on the suggestions. Another question i had is that if I would to go with the Eibach coil springs which 1.5” lift kit would you recommend. I had heard good & bad about them but would like to nail it on one of the following 1st. Daystar 2nd. Teraflex 3rd. Avid. Which is better?
I know some people that did Imogene & Black Bear Pass with stock Renegade (Trailhawk) !! But obviously it will be a lot better with a lift! I had 3” lift on mine but I do not recommend this because I had CV axels issues probably because of that tall lift.. For Renegade I recommend a maximum of 2” lift to prevent issues, so a 1.5 from Daystar or other brand, 2” from ATP or a 1” lift + Eibach Springs to have 2” total!

Depending on how your rig is modified! The gas mileage of my renegade was very bad honestly! It was between ~350-400km with a tank..!

This was the ATP 2.0 + Eibach Springs with 245/75r16 and yes pinch seam cut + a lot of plastic trimming!

~45k miles ! Had some problems with CV axels due to 3” lift and heavy modifications.. overall nothing else! I’m not a pro about self maintenance so it’s better to bring it to the dealer to take care of it !

Not sure! The Renegade had -> 3” lift with 2.0 ATP + Eibach Springs / 16x8 ET 13 wheels with 245/75r16 KO2 + 1” spacers / Rola cross bars with Yakima Loadwarrior + extention / Avid Essential rear bumper / ATP skid plates / ARB awning

I’m thinking on getting the lift, but..are very concerned about alignment, camber angle & cv axel issues. Any suggestions on the best possible set up?
The less modified is always the most reliable! Has a recommendation, I will say do not exceed 2.5” lift and 29.5” tires..
Appreciate on the suggestions. Another question i had is that if I would to go with the Eibach coil springs which 1.5” lift kit would you recommend. I had heard good & bad about them but would like to nail it on one of the following 1st. Daystar 2nd. Teraflex 3rd. Avid. Which is better?

How tall of a lift would you recommend on a renegade to attempt something like the Imogene Pass?
I know some people that did Imogene & Black Bear Pass with stock Renegade (Trailhawk) !! But obviously it will be a lot better with a lift! I had 3” lift on mine but I do not recommend this because I had CV axels issues probably because of that tall lift.. For Renegade I recommend a maximum of 2” lift to prevent issues, so a 1.5 from Daystar or other brand, 2” from ATP or a 1” lift + Eibach Springs to have 2” total!

Could you tell me where you got the spare tire mount? I’ve looked and have not been able to find one..
Also did you go with a lift or is that the standard height? What size tires are you running?
The rear bumper with tire carrier is from Avid Essentials, 3” lift with 245/75r16
