Pro Evolution Soccer 2009 (PES 2009, known as World Soccer: Winning Eleven 2009 in Korea and Japan) is a football video game in the Pro Evolution Soccer series, which was made by Konami. It is also the exclusive licensed game of the UEFA Champions League. The Wii version is known as Winning Eleven Play Maker 2009 in Japan. PES 2009 was succeeded by Pro Evolution Soccer 2010.
Playing against the CPU on a high difficulty level always pays off, especially when there's a good player with the controller.

I'm pleased to see you left the celebrations, cutscenes and replays play instead of just skipping them.
The AI is definitely good if not great in this game, kudos to the devs for that.
Fine detail that the keepers make a gesture of discontent after receiving a goal, even going on to blame their teammates.
Another one is the fact that there's a replay of the celebration right after the replay of the goal itself.
Physics are good too and make for some noticeable moments. Not only player's physics, but also the goal net's, which is definitely better than pes 2013 and 14.
The match wasn't short and yet there wasn't a single foul allowing for the fluidity of the game.
It's one of the greatest PES in my opinion. After PES 2011, all went downhill. Konami didn't recover after that.
