I didn’t see this from Jennifer, but either way the version I saw had bulgur instead of quinoa and no dressing. I’ve made it but can’t go with no dressing at all. Did lemon and olive oil and it was delish. Quinoa is great, but I like the texture and benefits of bulgur even more. If Jennifer was eating a true Cobb every day, I’m not sure she’d lean out like she did on the show. Happy to hear either way that she likely didn’t eat the same thing everyday for 10 years as that sounds a little like disordered eating.

I’ve seen the chefs on America’s test kitchen add butter when coming up with the recipe for “the best burger”. But they used a few different kinds of meat and ground them up together to get the best flavor and texture and then they added butter into it bc some of the meat they used was kind of lean so the butter was supposed to mimic animal fat and make the burgers richer in flavor and not too dry.

Butter burgers are popular in the Mid-West us but I've never heard of anyone mixing the Butter into the meat. There is a burger 🍔 place in Michigan (daily drive in) I grew up with, only I think one left , that served a Daily Burger 🍔 and the sauce you made reminds me of theirs. I am going to try it to see if it is the same. Way back in the 50s and 60s.
Butter is mixed with the meat to help hold the flavor hold against the taste buds and is normally used for meat that's BELOW the 80%-20% standard, because hamburger meat under that tends to fall apart and have less flavor! BuUuUuUt you have to be careful and remember 😏 what happens to butter, at high temperatures......it BROWNS🤨 which is a completely different flavor profile than the butter as is, so keep that in mind when following a recipe!!! If you want to add the element of butter to any type of meat, you can do what I do 🤗 make a compound butter and when you're almost done cooking the meat, about 4 minutes from being done, add the butter to a sauce pan, over medium high heat, along with a small bit of canola oil to stop the butter from browning and/or scorching! Place the meat to one side of the pan ,then tilt your pan, so all of the butter is pooling enough, for you to spoon it over the steak (how I use it including grilled chicken and pork chops 😋) and YaLL 😁 it'll make your steak/whatever beyond FAB-U-LOUS!!! SoOoOoOoO instead of mixing with the meat, just do pan basting and everyone will love it, but not sure what makes YOUR steak, burgers, chicken better than everyone else's! Another great way to use compound butter is to split dinner rolls and grill them in the same pan you just baptized the meat in and if you want to take it a step farther add the bottom part of the grilled rolls to a cake pan, add cheese then add meat add a little more cheese adding a layer of grilled mushrooms and onions and here comes the kicker....add a quarter of a tsp or itty-bitty pinch of lemon zest, add the final layer of cheese and throw it under the broiler until everyone becomes friends and the cheese is desperately trying to give everything a hug! 🤗 Place the tops on and step back or you'll be trampled by everyone trying to get one! And I sincerely mean that last part but especially if it's the second time you made them because those who already had it KNOWS how great they are and will take down anything that gets in the way 😁 Sorry for the ridiculously LoOoOonG comment but I just wanted to share how this girl used butter for a better steak and any other meat it's in!!!
Try whipping burratta ( put it in a high powered blender with extra cream) and put it on top of toasted sourdough with the heirloom tomatoes, truffle oil, balsamic reduction and salt and pepper
I have heard of people adding grated butter into the ground meat before. I guess to add more fat but you can buy fattier meat like Chris said. Maybe it also adds to an overall mouth feel (she says questionally).

Take you a Angel food cake and crushed pineapple mix them together put in the oven at 350 till cake is done then top with cool whip its really really good.
There is a burger 🍔 place in Michigan (daily drive in) I grew up with, only I think one left , that served a Daily Burger 🍔 and the sauce you made reminds me of theirs. I am going to try it to see if it is the same. Way back in the 50s and 60s.
Butter burgers are an American thing! Specifically Wisconsin 😁 We love our dairy 🐄
They are so good!
Place the tops on and step back or you'll be trampled by everyone trying to get one!
And I sincerely mean that last part but especially if it's the second time you made them because those who already had it KNOWS how great they are and will take down anything that gets in the way 😁
Sorry for the ridiculously LoOoOonG comment but I just wanted to share how this girl used butter for a better steak and any other meat it's in!!!
Try whipping burratta ( put it in a high powered blender with extra cream) and put it on top of toasted sourdough with the heirloom tomatoes, truffle oil, balsamic reduction and salt and pepper
Do you have the recipe for the beet salad?? Sounds so yum!!
We don’t have “In and Out” in Australia (as far as I know!?) but that burger sauce seems similar to Big Mac sauce?
There's a spicy garlic and pepper pesto at walmart that I love having with burrata.
What about air frying the chickpeas with some Mediterranean spices and then making the salad with it ?
I'd have to cut the onions (maybe minced leek or shallot) and switch out the feta, but I'd give the salad a try!
There's always those days when words seem to twist and turn on your tongue before they come out. A good nap usually fixes it for me😃
I have heard of people adding grated butter into the ground meat before. I guess to add more fat but you can buy fattier meat like Chris said. Maybe it also adds to an overall mouth feel (she says questionally).
The Matcha latte might not taste good with the maple syrup because you matcha is flavoured. I have a matcha maple blend and that stuff is good!!!
I make that salad all the time but I add red wine vinegar into the dressing 😍😍
You're knife skills have improved over the years!
I think you guys need to do a “Chopped” competition!
"Don't love it"- keeps eating 😄
The Burger is 100% In&Out, you can get chopped chiles on the burgers at In&Out if you ask.
I would love to have a friend like you in my life 💓 it’s hard making friends when you’re older an have kids 😭 love your personality ❤️
I always pan sauté/fry my burgers in butter with Worcestershire sauce. It’s a game changer on the flavor.
