@Nooy_ if you played Minecraft for years you can tell when someone is trying to hide a secret. Its literally a large part of Minecraft gameplay. Finding unique ways to hide your valuables from other players. One of the most common ways to hide a door or entrance is to place bookshelfs or slabs on top or infront
@TOMIEUNDEAD not really? The room was underground, you can hide a secret door behind any block that you cant see from the outside, and there were a lot of those. @curiousosa7698you do realize that.. almost every single horror movie/story ever made is fictional right? Also what do you mean fake story in Minecraft? It's a game. Everything about it is fictional what 😭

And the bigger right wing is trying to tell d3rl0rd3 to turn right instead of left at the crossroads
@coleymx it could be a "fake ARG" kinda, like Wifies made it and wrote it himself but made it look like an ARG to add to the spook factor? I have no proof of this and don't know much about ARGs so don't quote me.
The second I see torches go out like that I’m alt f4-ing, deleting the world, deleting Minecraft, hard wiping the os, meticulously disassembling the computer, putting every piece under a hydrologic press individually, burning what remains, and then putting whatever remains after that into a locked box to throw into the ocean I don’t think you realize how big a coward I am, there are none more skittish than me
Then, you wake in the middle of the night to see the laptop appear on your bedside table. You cannot move, paralyzed in fear. The screen is on, showing the exact same world, in the exact same room, with all of the torches lit. At the end of the hallway, one set goes out. Then another. You have no way of running or turning the screen off. Another set dies. Then another, and another, and another. Until the last set in front of your character go off. And now, the screen itself turns off and you're cast into complete darkness. There was a full moon outside, but not even the moon's light passes through your window. You realize you can move now, and as you get up to look outside, you see... nothing. The street in front of your house is gone, the trees you're so used to gone, there is no moon, there are no clouds or stars. Complete and utter darkness save for the lightest hint of cold gray. You don't even know how you can see anything at all. You go to your bedroom door and as you try to open it, it gets stuck. You panic, you can't be trapped in here. You rattle the knob, shoving the door over and over again until it gives, slamming open with a loud thud that echoes and echoes. You had stumbled to the cold rough floor. This isn't your floor, your floor is made of cheap laminate faux wood. This is... this is stone... and as you look up to see where you are, you see the very cave with the very torches you sought to escape. You look behind you and the door you just came through is gone, replace with the endless tunnel. And as you get up, you see it, far off in the distance, a set of torches snuffed out.
Its interesting that if you go back, the order of the items in the dropper when he came back was actually different of what derlord left it like, so the entity was smart enough to refill it which is pretty insane
Although unless it is showed in the actual video (yes the videos are real and way longer than the wifies one) technically grass can spread at any tick, unless I’m wrong so there’s a very tiny chance the grass spread just the second he stopped looking at it so he’s just a guy with dementia
Guys, I suddenly realize something. The King in Yellow made a secret code ending for the future person who is bout to end like this, as u can see in the crossroads, his all items turn into some random-uncanny items, making King in Yellow the deadliest antagonist here, predicting the next victim's future... himself... Run avery... It's here... (And whatever was behind that door... is censored for a reason... and before censoring it...) U can see yellow at the bottom of the cencore bar...
I love how chat spoiled the entire story right before the very end, very cool of them. Added context: Ludwig isn't smart enough to have figured it out himself.
To be honest, he wrote the book is a very logical conclusion, although it was funny that Ludwig said Avery is nothing like the protagonist for saying that they ask for ores even thought that was from the protagonist lol
The video starts out with Avery finding a laptop with this world precreated so clearly someone else played the world before Avery. To be honest, I'm surprised that the narrator even tried to play it off as Avery being the protagonist. He even says "a player was in the exact same spot that Avery was" but then just a few seconds later, "a player" becomes "Avery" with no explanation why it would be Avery.
This story is an adaptation of the king in yellow. That's what he saw at the end and the king in yellow has information about past, present, and future. This is why he knew Avery would come.
What d3rlord3 saw was not the king in yellow which is often depicted what d3rlord3 saw was the king in yellow book when you read the book it drives people insane often interpreted as the forbidden knowledge the past the present future and the unkown
@crescent-863there's also the possibility that he just straight up saw the king in yellow. Some of the short stories describe people going insane from seeing the king rather than reading the play
As some people in chat already said, he probably saw the king in yellow. Once you see the king in yellow, he floods your head with all the knowledge of the universe. That means derlord tanked that shi
It basically makes you go insane after a period of time. But since he has all of the knowledge, that’s how he knew Avery would be there. There is also a sliver at the top of the screen when it was blanked that’s yellow.
i love this arg because we don't actually see the monster, this is scary because of fear of the unknown, and even that is explained in lore since this is the adaption of King in yellow, which drives people insane by giving them knowledge of past present and future just by looking at him
48:35 what if being dumb is an advantage. If it's really the king in yellow who curse you with knowledge, I imagine Avery see behind the door and fall asleep because it's too boring then wake up and move on
does'nt matter if they dumb or not they get infinite knowledge that breaks their mind but the king in yellow only gives his knowledge to intelligent people so avery could survive if he fails one of test given by the king
i think comparing this video to ishs video is like comparing a really passionate student short film to a really well received hollywood film. I mean they can be both good and entertaining but a movie with higher budget and a really good script cant be worse than a movie with lower budget and a really good script.
17:40 watching this reaction made me realize why the _wrong_ way is left- the thing saw him choosing left every time. So it bet on him choosing left again.
i’m so glad ludwig is bringing attention to this video i just watched it and goddamn does this guy (wifies) deserve his flowers. i love seeing the king in yellow being explored like this
hadn't even heard of the king in yellow until this comment, but having looked it up its an awesome concept and the video was a really cool way of diving deeper, definitely giving it a read now
Does everyone look at the chat while watching the streams on yt..? I didn’t even notice they were tapping abt how it’s scripted until I checked comments T-T (qt jumpscaring Ludwig was awesome 👏)
yo its gotten to the point where im about to punch my monitor bc this damn chat is talking about some "how are you falling for this its so scripted" like are we fr the chatters have like zero intelligence i cant bro
A guy literally texted in the chat "this feels like yellow king stuff" I think he saw the lore of the video beforehand and tried to sound clever, but that's just my opinion
Copyright problem, that's what it sounds like when you use RUclips's built in editing feature to remove the problem sound (in this case, likely the chosen background music)
Quick explanation though not fully educated on the matter for Ludwin, the King in Yellow is a sort of god of chaos and madness and this ARG is an adaptation of him, that's who's seen behind the doors. But when a mortal mind (d3rlord3) sees the King in Yellow, it forces him to see past, present, and future all at once nonstop. This is why he knows about Avery. This is why he writes that book, because he knows Avery is coming to find it. At the crossroads, *don't* turn left.
After watching this MC vid and derlord peeking at that gate or something, i remembered a saying in one of the novels i've read which is "Do not look directly at the gods, nor should you attempt to pry into their secrets."
It is heavily speculated (if not confirmed) that this is a retelling/version of the King in Yellow, a book that inspired H.P. Lovecraft (the eldritch horror guy) to make his own books. The ARG is not the same as the original King in Yellow tale but seems to be a related creation, the main reason being the obvious Yellow theme and mentions of "The King". It's also worth mentioning that the original King in Yellow story essentially details a play that drives people insane once they read it, giving them all knowledge of the past, present and future and all possibilities all at once driving them to insanity (if you know JJK imagine it as Gojo's domain expansion but with eldritch horror). Another reason it is speculated as a King in Yellow spinoff is because of d3rlord3's name, in which der lord, translating to the lord (or at a stretch the king), and the use of the number 3, possibly linking to the 3rd colour of the rainbow, which is yellow, being a nearly perfect match with the name of said story (the king in yellow - the lord yellow/the king yellow) although this part is highly debated, either way, you were correct about the assumption of the gods, and it does have parallels with the Lord of Mysteries (which i believe you are referencing) as that has ties with eldritch and outer gods too. Either way, a really cool ARG that has sparked a lot of theories etc
@myheadhurtstho It's bad writing, it's the obvious conclusion from the code avery was confused about leading to the google drive with the video - obviously Avery didn't make the google drive. I feel like the only reason people saw it as a plot twist and didn't suspect it from the begging is because the narrator was stupid and kept on calling him avery to try and push the narrative that this is avery in the future to create some sort of forced surprise and mystery
@cillianryan4515that's because wifies made it seem like he didn't make this. That's the part of it, the act. He made the drive and everything, but in the original drive ( you can actually search it up) it's just him exploring and talking to his viewers ( darelord). The reason why wifies made the video is to make people hooked and explore the mystery, the video itself is interactive. The RUclips channel is real, the drive is real, the codes you can figure out yourself. Wifies intentionally left out some parts, and didn't solve some parts so that the viewers will do that instead. That's the beauty of ARG'S everyone can solve it, and actually figure it out. This video/arg was inspired by the king in yellow:))
I still don't get this, there's NOTHING about the king in yellow here, not even about the scant few lines the fictional play has. Is everyone's knowledge about the king in yellow based on the tentacled monster thing and not the book? I feel like this story is much more "general cosmic horror" than specifically king in yellow inspired. Edit: Btw, the *BEST* King in Yellow inspired thing to ever been made by far is True Detective season 1, which is not only INSANELY good, but is funnily enough, a story taking place in the universe of the book, because the fictional work does not exist there, only the book containing the play that appears inside the book.
One little thing that bugs me about this arg is that this is supposed to be an old world found on a laptop in a storage locker yet all of the builds use new and modern updated blocks
i mean, since the act 2 of the play is supposed to give all knowledge from past present and future. Maybe it in cluded the blocks from the future? it's a stretch tho
i mean i didnt notice anything newer than 1.20 which was already over 2 years ago now, more than enough to be considered an 'old' minecraft wold, and even then i didnt see anywhere that specified it was a world from a long time ago, just that it existed prior to avery owning it but after derlord playing it, meaning he could have installed on the day update 20 came out, and left it abandoned for a couple years, or derlords part could have happened mere weeks prior, with derlords part and abandonment happening recently, avery buying the storage locker shortly after derlord abandons it, and finding the mines and uploading his videos shortly after. there is no real way to know the time scale for how much time passed between the footage from the drive and averies.
I don't think it was actually ever explicitly said how long the laptop has been in the storage locker. I think you just assumed that this was going to be an old Minecraft world kind of thing
@mymumoverwaterstheflowersd8071the original owner said that the Minecraft world was already made when he installed Minecraft on his laptop, so the world is older than when he installed it, he then said he had been playing on the world ‘for a while’ given his progression tho it’s safe to assume he was still early to mid game, but maybe he was just going slow. Then he explored the whole thing and then wrote the book then threw the laptop into a storage locker. It’s safe to assume that Avery then finds the laptop after a good amount of time has passed, it wouldn’t make sense for Avery to find the laptop in the locker the day after the og owner left it there. Then Avery himself had played on the world ‘for a while’ until he discovered the strip mine and the book and recorded it all and sent in. Obviously in reality this was just a scripted arg made this year but the story telling is a little loose imo. Also it’s a common assumption for Minecraft args to happen on old worlds that gives it suspense and allure. Either way the story makes it clear substantial time has passed since the world was created to when we view it. Now some people have pointed out that it’s been a few years since 1.20 so it’s whatever but that’s why I said it’s just a little thing that bugs me.
Yeah the reveal kinda fell flat for me because I felt it was pretty obvious it wasn’t Avery and he’s who wrote the book from the beginning. It also was pretty annoying to me the narrator didn’t even touch on the much more reasonable assumption it was someone else. Although, I gotta say, the architecture for the video was amazing. Not groundbreaking in storytelling, but great presentation. Wouldn’t say it’s the best Minecraft video of the year or anything, but it’s got some good stuff going on.
Yeah as soon as they turned left the first time i was like "Why is this dumbass....wait...it's not Avery that's why they don't know." But it's still pretty amazing
One of my favorite implications about this video is that rabbit hole is just ONE of the many many tunnels after the water. This world has the potential to have so many more dark unexplored secerets.
@user-gu1il8dp7p He can ask his dad which will 100% say yes Technodad runs his channel and once in a while uploads a video on the channel plus Techno himself met Ludwig once and seem pretty chill
Also for people who are wondering. found this comment under the OG video. I find this so interresting, and it explains the situation really well i think "This arg was directly inspired by the king in yellow, a series of short stories about a cursed poem that supposedly contains the king in yellow, an eldritch deity that is said to flood you mind with an infinite amount of knowledge the instant you see it and look directly into it's eyes tells you something that happened in the past or something that happens in the future. It is implied that at the end, Derlord saw the yellow king at that gate which gave him uncontainable amounts of knowledge AKA he saw the future where avery would end up doing the same thing he did, turn left which was why he knew who avery was and tried to warn him.
Not entirely true. The Yellow King that deals with knowledge is from HP Lovecraft (same dude as Chtullu). The one that is talked about in the stories from other dude, in that case he isn't as much a God of knowledge as much of a God of fucking around, he makes people do things they wouldn't, makes people see things they think are true. Aka, one gives facts, the other gives madness
@leonel392The King in Yellow, a book, is made by Robert Chambers, the genre is under psychological horror. The book was what inspired H.P. Lovecraft to create his own stories following this concept. The King in Yellow is not part of H.P. lovecrafts but is the original concept to what became Lovecraftian/Cosmic horror.
Ludwig chat pissing me off. what level of stupid do you need to be to say "its scripted" "lud its scripted" as if the entire chat doesn't know its an ARG, and thinks it's real. some people should just never speak their mind
23:47 when he paused the game he keeped moving also it says player reporting witch means its on single player but save and quit means its a world with means its ether open to lan
This is the scariest Minecraft video I have ever seen and if it wasn’t scripted, 99% of people would throw their laptop off the Empire State Building if they saw any of this stuff not built by them
Derlord is the definition of 'Curiosity killed the cat' Yes, he is in minecraft. Yes, he can log off. But after seeing and going through this strange world, why would he? Massive generation that's never seen before? Custom Builds? The entire map like a massive puzzle/maze? Where does it lead? What's following him? What happened to the village? Why does that book tell you to 'disconnect, turn back'? What's behind the massive Yellow door? Then he got exactly what he wanted.
Derlord technically was forced to explore that world, in the king in yellow, theres 2 entities, the yellow sign, and hastur (the king in yellow). The yellow sign basically lures people to the king in yellow, those whispers that drew him into the water. That was the yellow sign, same with the choir that was playing at the cathedral gates, Derlord was ensnared by the yellow sign so they literally couldn't stop exploring if they wanted to.
It really depends to who take the title of Minecraft Video of the year, depending if your prefer story, comedy, or actually gameplay. It is all down to preference. The surgance of people saying that this video is the best is due to trends and a very large reason shown at the start of the video, edits. Edits are becoming more and more advance and hyped, so Searching for a world that doesn't exist has the best fan creations. Also I really like tomboys
"Good" meaning "the specific niche of videos that I personally like". RUclips is just too big and fragmented now, there's no way to make a rewind that makes everyone happy
The chat has not seen a movie in their entire life
They're to busy riding their favorite streamers meat.
Of course not. Movies are over 7 seconds
Ofcourse they watch streams they don't have time to do anything other than watching streamer
@19justinlambert82 so this is a movie? Sweet

Chat is the type of guy that watches a movie in a theater and says that it's scripted
Wait really? I thought it was real?
Schindler's List :skullemoji:
So you want me to believe that transformers isn't reality TV? Get out of here
Yeah those dummies cant tell its all real
@RomeoVang-l1x lol
watching chat saying "its fake" after lud talking about it being an ARG is genuinely fascinating to me
What is so fascinating about shitposts dude, its not that deep 😂
lmao the funniest thing is chat not understanding the mere concept of a fictional horror story.
fr fr. At times you could tell _some_ of them were doing it for the bit and not _actually_ misunderstanding, but a lot of them were clearly not grasping the concept of someone using Minecraft as a creative medium.

Or a arg
Some of them probably have never read a book so yeah.
This video literally feels like a parody.

Nexpo
Somehow chat is dumber than me. Dunno how the fuck that’s possible but they made it happen
I’m glad the people in chat let us know it was fake cuz I was having a hard time figuring that out without them
Do they know that Manhattan wasn't destroyed when they filmed the first avengers movie?
@wumbojetwhat? Really? Shocking!
was it actually scripted
@Mr_Uranus7 I feel like I'm telling a child Santa Claus isn't real but yes, this was scripted
@Mr_Uranus7 you're asking the equivalent of if movies are real or scripted
The lack of whimsy and joy in the chat was insane bro 😭
dont forget to add basic literacy and common sense 💔
Its just not a exciting when its scripted and a unoriginal story
@aribeetle1407 I'm pretty sure it's scripted because it's fictional
@aribeetle1407obviously it’s scripted it’s fiction
@Wat@Watermelon-r3ldude I know its scripted and obviously scripted and I know it’s fiction never said it wasn’t
bro can the chat shut up they are so corny like YES we know its scripted
Legit true bro every single time i saw a streamer react to ts they js be spamming the same 5 words seeking for attention 24/7.They legit ruin the fun
"Erm chat, does Lud knows this is scripted" OF COURSE IT IS, LMAO
Bu-bu-but...I have to tell others that I figured out and realized that video was scripted. I just *have* to tell others that I figured it out.
It's like watching breaking bad and being like "guys this is scripted why are u interested in it" LIKE THATS THE POINT BRO
@emreBoz-l3g its genuinely killing my brain
4:49 Chat said, " Someone asked AI to make a Minecraft video and this was it." We are so screwed.
That's a lie.
@thepalekingfrwhat part? The part about the highkey dumb statement made by a chatter, with a convenient timestamp to the evidence?
@doxkusa the "fact" that this video is made by ai.
@thepalekingfr how would you know its ai
@thepalekingfr they lowk pull that fact our their buttocks
As I was watching and he took the first left turn in the water, I kept track and counted 7 times that he turned left. You know what else was done 7 times? Him writing "at the crossroads do not turn left." He was warning against the 7 left turns
now actually watch the full video
good eye
I'd love to see timestamps of each left turn he made
I love this arg because the protagonist was actually smart. He did everything right, like setting up traps but still couldn’t beat it, unlike other clueless arg protagonists who just walked into obviously corrupted planes and act like it’s normal

Chat watching Star Wars: bro this is so scripted, there’s no way this is real
Chat is lowkey stupid
ikr,"it's a weird way to tell a story" no it isn't 😭
always has been
Highkey I’d say
You're chat buddy ur calling urself stupid
and his face cam and chat is too huge it’s almost impossible to avoid reading chat
Shout out to the chatter that said: “ ‘it’s fake’ yeah so is Star Wars” at 14:16 a voice of reason
They say it's fake because in someway anyone who doesn't watch rng videos, will think it's a real story.... Which starwars clearly isn't.
So imagine you are a guy who plays Minecraft and you stumbled along this video, you would think it's a real story based on the story telling, but if you went to the description you will have spoilers so you decide to continue watching the video.
Honestly I'd rather watch starwars because it's labeled as A SI-FI MOVIE and not a random ass video that tells a story about a mystery world that was found on a random laptop.
So please don't use your logic again because it's completely different than star wars

This ARG is so smart because at first it's like "WHY DID HE TURN LEFT", but then you realize he didn't have the book. He's the one that MADE IT.
The part at the end when he writes the book definition of the cinema meme
its not an ARG
@FreakiestKiKi wdym
@FreakiestKiKi i mean it is, no? you have to solve puzzles to get more of the videos, that's p much the definition of an arg
@coleymx it could be a "fake ARG" kinda, like Wifies made it and wrote it himself but made it look like an ARG to add to the spook factor? I have no proof of this and don't know much about ARGs so don't quote me.
Chat is genuinely insufferable, I wish more streamers would tell their chat to stfu or call them out
bro, they watch streamers live stream for hours during the streams, ofc they are insufferable.
Props to the 1 guy in chat who said “‘its fake’ yeah man so is star wars what u talking about”

Lmao legit! I was watching the original video but after the torch part i close it and watch ludwig reaction instead
chat might be illiterate
I meannnn.. there is actually an illiteracy epidemic going on so it's a possibility
@Lattice_Piethey're in the 90th percentile of illiteracy
And ofcourse it's coming from a Twitch chat
chat IS illiterate ✌️😂
Might?
the ability of chat for not understanding concepts like spoilers or story is incredible
bruh when they spoiled him about who wrote the book it was such a turn off like wtf
@williansouza8724 this implies you were turned on for the first 40 minutes of the video
@williansouza8724 or maybe they deduced it from watching the video with him?? I did that when i watched it so idk
It's Completely Fine Though Since Ludwin didn't not known He would Not mind it Maybe it was Just theory
@williansouza8724 It's Fine unless if you really don't know whats happening You wouldn't mind it you're head will Goes maybe this is theory
46:25 BTW!, he wrote dont turn left 7times,bc himself turned left 7times.
He has to watch the og “the potato war” trilogy
he probably watched it already
he said it watched it already few years prior
no he needs to watch parrot and or wemmbus unstable POV
Tf is the potato war related to ts?
@thebigshark3014 they are both minecraft vids??
The second I see torches go out like that I’m alt f4-ing, deleting the world, deleting Minecraft, hard wiping the os, meticulously disassembling the computer, putting every piece under a hydrologic press individually, burning what remains, and then putting whatever remains after that into a locked box to throw into the ocean
I don’t think you realize how big a coward I am, there are none more skittish than me
The commitment to being afraid is applaudable 👏
@diemight7591you are pretty good at writing this stuff
wtf is a hydrologic press
@diemight7591 bro did allat for a yt comment honestly respect.
Its interesting that if you go back, the order of the items in the dropper when he came back was actually different of what derlord left it like, so the entity was smart enough to refill it which is pretty insane
I went back and checked that as well before the grass reveal, surprised the narrator didn’t mention it
Although unless it is showed in the actual video (yes the videos are real and way longer than the wifies one) technically grass can spread at any tick, unless I’m wrong so there’s a very tiny chance the grass spread just the second he stopped looking at it so he’s just a guy with dementia
either the video or ludwig did mention it was refilled.
@SageEnds they mentioned it in the actual video
@scrummpybear oh rlly I didn’t catch it
Guys, I suddenly realize something.
Editors could have blurred it out 😊
@deleted-somethingit's just that it's the biggest plot twist revealed
i mean it was pretty obv tbh. Once it was revealed that it wasn't avery, it's pretty easy to guess that it was the person before him
The video starts out with Avery finding a laptop with this world precreated so clearly someone else played the world before Avery. To be honest, I'm surprised that the narrator even tried to play it off as Avery being the protagonist. He even says "a player was in the exact same spot that Avery was" but then just a few seconds later, "a player" becomes "Avery" with no explanation why it would be Avery.
MatPat would've had a field day with this one
Already sent the vid to Game Theory's official RUclips channel.
game theory doesnt cover args sadly
@FfersbetterFilm Theory does!
They do tho. For example, Crow 64
@Ffersbetter they did for a courage the cowardly dog arg game
This story is an adaptation of the king in yellow. That's what he saw at the end and the king in yellow has information about past, present, and future. This is why he knew Avery would come.
Tbh that's wat I was going to say. It's also one of the closest adaptations I've ever seen, aside from. The original work
What d3rlord3 saw was not the king in yellow which is often depicted what d3rlord3 saw was the king in yellow book when you read the book it drives people insane often interpreted as the forbidden knowledge the past the present future and the unkown
@crescent-863there's also the possibility that he just straight up saw the king in yellow. Some of the short stories describe people going insane from seeing the king rather than reading the play
Bro there’s a king in yellow vid by Wendigoon right under this one and I think it’s a sign 💀
@sumisumosumudude just got a different video of the king in yellow from 4 years ago in my recommandations...
Bro d3rlord3 is fucking Einstein, light yagami, vegapunk, ceaser clown, and every other person/character ever combined into one super-genius
As some people in chat already said, he probably saw the king in yellow. Once you see the king in yellow, he floods your head with all the knowledge of the universe. That means derlord tanked that shi
Damn
megumi being controlled by sukuna
@theuser20 nah dude it's litterally the domain expansion of gojo 🫠
and he had to watch the footage again to censor the king even after everything, before he went insane
It basically makes you go insane after a period of time. But since he has all of the knowledge, that’s how he knew Avery would be there. There is also a sliver at the top of the screen when it was blanked that’s yellow.
2:13 “I don’t want to look at Chat anymore”. This notion will be eventually ignored later on.
Me when I'm trying to be quirky and different and my opponent is twitch chat
38:52 What the frick happened to the audio vro 🥀
youtube copyright detected the music in the background
@babyblender2002 oh i thought my headphones broke
i love this arg because we don't actually see the monster, this is scary because of fear of the unknown, and even that is explained in lore since this is the adaption of King in yellow, which drives people insane by giving them knowledge of past present and future just by looking at him
Lovecraftian horror at Its best
Yup and this is why he warns Avery even while not knowing him because he gains the knowledge of the future so that’s how he knows Avery 🧠💯🔥
@MoppinggnippoM ye
48:35 what if being dumb is an advantage. If it's really the king in yellow who curse you with knowledge, I imagine Avery see behind the door and fall asleep because it's too boring then wake up and move on
Literally the meme POV: Me looking at horrors beyond my comprehension “I don’t get it”
does'nt matter if they dumb or not they get infinite knowledge that breaks their mind but the king in yellow only gives his knowledge to intelligent people so avery could survive if he fails one of test given by the king
@JohnMathewCuaboBargayoSure, but it'll be funny tho. If the second act of the play was behind that door then Avery goes "I aint reading all that."
One of my favorite memes in the community is Avery contrasting d3rlord3 by being extremely stupid
Can tell you never read the book king in yellow
"Its scripted" that's every fiction story
What I don't like is that tunnel is completely dark at the end, making it look like the only way forward is through those doors.
Never in my life did I think Ludwig would watch a wifies video
This doesn't beat "It was written in parkour" tho
It wasn't made to beat any other videos
Ish's video way better
@thebigshark3014 what’s with comparing different genres. It’s like comparing Minecraft and Roblox. Completely two different things.
@ObliterationsYTStill a minecraft video genre of the best minecraft video of the year
i think comparing this video to ishs video is like comparing a really passionate student short film to a really well received hollywood film. I mean they can be both good and entertaining but a movie with higher budget and a really good script cant be worse than a movie with lower budget and a really good script.
When twitch chat hears a fairy tale they're gonna explode
Chat when they watch Robin Hood: wtf foxes don't walk on two legs
"at the crossroads, dont turn left"
"there is just a grub guy that pays you to rescue children"
17:40 watching this reaction made me realize why the _wrong_ way is left- the thing saw him choosing left every time. So it bet on him choosing left again.
U onto something here
You are idiot
king in yellow knew he was turn left before he even started up the world
Ludwin is better than that imposter Ludwig
I've never heard of Ludwig, who's that?
@oosabayoI think he's that deaf classical pianist
I never realized that the channel name was lugwin and not lugwig
i’m so glad ludwig is bringing attention to this video i just watched it and goddamn does this guy (wifies) deserve his flowers. i love seeing the king in yellow being explored like this
hadn't even heard of the king in yellow until this comment, but having looked it up its an awesome concept and the video was a really cool way of diving deeper, definitely giving it a read now
Does everyone look at the chat while watching the streams on yt..? I didn’t even notice they were tapping abt how it’s scripted until I checked comments T-T (qt jumpscaring Ludwig was awesome 👏)
yo its gotten to the point where im about to punch my monitor bc this damn chat is talking about some "how are you falling for this its so scripted" like are we fr the chatters have like zero intelligence i cant bro
Do they think the avengers movies happened or something? Lmao
@wumbojetngl they might
@wumbojetyeah i saw it with my own two eyes
@wumbojet Yeah???? It did??????? I was car #481
A guy literally texted in the chat "this feels like yellow king stuff"
I think he saw the lore of the video beforehand and tried to sound clever, but that's just my opinion
Is your sound also being weird at 44:35?
yea.. glad it’s not just me
Copyright problem, that's what it sounds like when you use RUclips's built in editing feature to remove the problem sound (in this case, likely the chosen background music)
Yeah
@T0NI_hmmm interesting, thanks I didn’t know that
Yeah. Stupid that wifies put copyright music in his vid
I’m actually tweaking watching this im fucking scared bro
Quick explanation though not fully educated on the matter for Ludwin, the King in Yellow is a sort of god of chaos and madness and this ARG is an adaptation of him, that's who's seen behind the doors. But when a mortal mind (d3rlord3) sees the King in Yellow, it forces him to see past, present, and future all at once nonstop. This is why he knows about Avery. This is why he writes that book, because he knows Avery is coming to find it. At the crossroads, *don't* turn left.
The whole chat is discovering what a an ARG/creepypasta is
After watching this MC vid and derlord peeking at that gate or something, i remembered a saying in one of the novels i've read which is "Do not look directly at the gods, nor should you attempt to pry into their secrets."
Yeah youre Lord Of The Mysteries reader
@wisnuyoga3103lmao
Praise The Fool
@ahmadsa1905Indeed. Praise the Fool!
42:29 the fact he found this out without finishing the video with the help of chat makes me so mad like wtf
True
My god, welp. Thanks for saving me from some disappointment
I could tell within the first few minutes of the new pov...I'm surprised it took him that long.
Was too scared too watch the original video alone. So I went back to ludwig
Ludwig actually has the worst chat. Like just enjoy something omg
To be fair its not a good video
they’re little kids desperate to look smart lmao
Hey man it's *Ludwig's* chat so (how) are you surprised, the man has the integrity of a jelly fish.
@sahilrahman5066 This is such a fifth grader take. Go outside and develop some opinions of your own my guy
@andrithorkristensson2545 Sounds like the opinion of someone upset a random insulted their "favouwite stweama."
I watched this yesterday still funny that this is a top 5 retelling of the king in yellow
As soon as I saw all the yellow imagery I knew what we were in for
should read that, heard the king in yellow got mixed with hastur in the cthulu mythos later on
@arise_ahjin its a nice piece of classic literature
Bro’s about to expose millions of children and react streamers to the Yellow Sign in part 2
Brothers, I’m 7:33 into the video. Why am I unironically getting scared
Cus its scary as hell
It’s genuinely terrifying.
maybe the true king was the friends we-
this is a horror arg and dont worry, i got scared too
SAME
They discovering fiction for the first time
i love how chat all suddenly become experts on the king in yellow, and "guessing" about it during the hidden library scene
They all a hivemind anyways, one guy says this, everyone follows
"w- wait a second! this reminds me of an old tale I heard long ago...." (they read the comments in og vid)
@cxrovvNO EXACTLY!!!
so many people in chat drooling onto their keyboard typing "STAAAGED" "NOT REAL" yeah no shit man
Chat does NOT inprove the video Ludwig. That's cooked.
I hear derlord speaking in the cipher stacking segment like how Gyutaro speaks from KNY
24:58 nah who tf said “SlAvery” 😭😭😭
I mean....
QuackerDeezles
@turdbergler1280yea its not explicitly said when the laptop was found and put in the storage locker
It was a job application.
The thing more terrifying than the king in yellow
@crescent-863 The reason The King In Yellow is yellow is because he saw a job application and hasn’t been able to clean up the piss stains since
Why did I laugh bruh
honestly wifies vid after this is even more deep and even more rabbit hole-y
Chat not understanding what an ARG is has me dying.
They are all dumb little kids trying to be smart on the internet 😅
Did anyone else immediately feel like Derlord was someone else from the beginning? Avery said he didn't write the book
I thought it too.
It's lwk pretty obvious after u see the skin change
One of my favorite implications about this video is that rabbit hole is just ONE of the many many tunnels after the water. This world has the potential to have so many more dark unexplored secerets.
yo the Haunted mentioned!! i was obsessed with that series back in the day
Ludwig should watch Technoblade's potato war series.
YES!!!
i don't think he normally watches videos on stream without asking permission, and for obvious reasons he can't really ask for permission from techno
+1
@user-gu1il8dp7phe can ask technodad
@user-gu1il8dp7p He can ask his dad which will 100% say yes Technodad runs his channel and once in a while uploads a video on the channel plus Techno himself met Ludwig once and seem pretty chill
Also for people who are wondering. found this comment under the OG video. I find this so interresting, and it explains the situation really well i think
"This arg was directly inspired by the king in yellow, a series of short stories about a cursed poem that supposedly contains the king in yellow, an eldritch deity that is said to flood you mind with an infinite amount of knowledge the instant you see it and look directly into it's eyes tells you something that happened in the past or something that happens in the future. It is implied that at the end, Derlord saw the yellow king at that gate which gave him uncontainable amounts of knowledge AKA he saw the future where avery would end up doing the same thing he did, turn left which was why he knew who avery was and tried to warn him.
Thank you I didn't see a comment like this on the og video
Not entirely true. The Yellow King that deals with knowledge is from HP Lovecraft (same dude as Chtullu). The one that is talked about in the stories from other dude, in that case he isn't as much a God of knowledge as much of a God of fucking around, he makes people do things they wouldn't, makes people see things they think are true. Aka, one gives facts, the other gives madness
Wait, cursed poem? Like the cipher at the beginning of the second clip in the drive folder that d3rLord3 called a poem? Now that adds up.
wait, if it's just giving you knowledge what's the horror, and what was following him?
@leonel392The King in Yellow, a book, is made by Robert Chambers, the genre is under psychological horror. The book was what inspired H.P. Lovecraft to create his own stories following this concept. The King in Yellow is not part of H.P. lovecrafts but is the original concept to what became Lovecraftian/Cosmic horror.
Ludwig chat pissing me off. what level of stupid do you need to be to say "its scripted" "lud its scripted" as if the entire chat doesn't know its an ARG, and thinks it's real. some people should just never speak their mind
Actual chills by the end. Music score on point.
23:47 when he paused the game he keeped moving also it says player reporting witch means its on single player but save and quit means its a world with means its ether open to lan
This is the scariest Minecraft video I have ever seen and if it wasn’t scripted, 99% of people would throw their laptop off the Empire State Building if they saw any of this stuff not built by them
Derlord is the definition of 'Curiosity killed the cat'
Yes, he is in minecraft.
Then he got exactly what he wanted.
and it's not like he realized he was in any real danger until he saw behind the doors.
Now he ain't gona ever be curious again, now he knows the past present and future
Derlord technically was forced to explore that world, in the king in yellow, theres 2 entities, the yellow sign, and hastur (the king in yellow). The yellow sign basically lures people to the king in yellow, those whispers that drew him into the water. That was the yellow sign, same with the choir that was playing at the cathedral gates, Derlord was ensnared by the yellow sign so they literally couldn't stop exploring if they wanted to.
mystery of the matchbox is also really interesting i really like it
It really depends to who take the title of Minecraft Video of the year, depending if your prefer story, comedy, or actually gameplay. It is all down to preference. The surgance of people saying that this video is the best is due to trends and a very large reason shown at the start of the video, edits. Edits are becoming more and more advance and hyped, so Searching for a world that doesn't exist has the best fan creations. Also I really like tomboys
Threw in a fun fact there 💔✌️
lowk relatable
i LOVE tomboys
source: i am a lesbian
Ain't we all?
Twasn't necessary for you to curse me with that knowledge
Arg protagonists when I show them how to turn on creative mode, instead of walking through the scary caves on survival
Smart enough to put the world on peaceful but not to open to lan and turn on cheats smh
@jofipa9953well it’s lan, if someone is on the same Wi-Fi they can join, and because derlord was smart, he didn’t turn on lan
Any protagonist when i show them i can just go home and cry in fear
bottom 5 twitch chats of all time
“The Haunting” being brought up hit something deep in my soul
its very funny how chat cant comprehend the concept of an arg
I don’t think they even understand the concept of a fictional story
They're way too stupid to know what that is
Wifies is always top tier, I would recommend his Matchbox video
same
I was looking for this comment. All of his later ARGs are so good.
also his video on the player that doesnt exist is peak too
@capitalisticincombatpeak
Nothing frightening needs to be shown to unsettle someone. only the vastness of the unknown being gradually made clear to them.
avery uses a strength potion and a fire aspect sword and crits hastur to death
We need (good) youtube rewind back because it'd be cool to see stuff like this shown off by youtube themselves
Dude they never show these in any version of a youtube rewind like ARGS has been a thing for long time now
@bigboi4161that's why he said we need a "good" RUclips rewind
"Good" meaning "the specific niche of videos that I personally like". RUclips is just too big and fragmented now, there's no way to make a rewind that makes everyone happy
@bigboi4161whats args
@bigboi4161 that one ARG with the girl and the talking skull got in a RUclips rewind a couple years ago
"its fake" have you never heard of a story? "its incomprehensible and hard to follow" have you never heard of an arg?
How did bro predict what durrlord was gonna say that
man this arg is so goated first ever video in my lifetime i ever rewatched
He’s getting closer to unstable universe…
Yesssss
18:08 ... a crack in the sky ... i wonder if that'll be brought up in the future
Nah
Zeight explain the comment
does anyone else get an audio issue at 38:00 or is that just me?
Me too
I think this video got copyright
Me to
the music was cooyrighted and theres a way to make voices audible without music but it loses quality
wifies' video has copyrighted music
Chat never watched the shadow of israphel
