I'm not surprised at all to hear there was tension between Marla and Jackee. Jackee's character Sandra became very popular and that had to get under Marla's skin just bit considering it was her show and she was supposed to be the Star. Same with shows like Alice where Polly Holidays character Flo became the more popular character and Linda Lavin was none to happy about it.
