Wont the Lord's will be done even if you never prayed, ever again? How does that even work? "God, please do exactly what you were already going to do." Aside from it being entirely unnecessary it seems a bit pompous to believe that your prayers are somehow helping God fulfill his own will. It's stuff like this that entirely turns me off towards being a "Christian". Further down this thread there is some lady pleading the entire blood of Jesus over bad weather. At what point do y'all realize that you're the most ridiculous kind of Christian that you can be? Arguably, not Christian, at all - more like completely lost to the point where you can't even logically assess your own prayers, and what you are actually asking. I'm sorry, you're never going to convince me that praying for God to do exactly what he planned to do, isn't stupid.
I understand that I am being a bit of an asshole. I apologize that I never prayed to God for the ability to elegantly handle brain-dead behavior. God's will is going to be done no matter what you do. Jesus's blood is not necessary to protect people from wind and rain. I'll go as far as to say that asking for even one drop Jesus's blood may be the most selfish thing anyone could ever ask for. I'm pretty sure he already shed every drop of it, which is why he died, and he already shed it for you. I know you aren't the psycho "Jesus blood" lady, but this seems relevant in ridiculousness to me.
God's will is not always done. He wants everyone to receive salvation, but not everyone accepts the offer. That's one of nearly countless examples.

What we *should* be seeking is to be in line with God's will that, as you stated, is already in play! Also, to accept His Will even if it's NOT what we want! God has His Will. But He does notinhg if the church doesn't pray. Many issues are stopped in Heaven because the Churchill and individuais are not praying. I recomend you to read the Book: Prayer (or Let's pray) or The Ministry of the Church by Watchman Nee ( I don't know the translation). GOD WILL ANSWER YOU POWERFULLY.

I am also in Texas. I woke up to the storms this morning and a tornado warning going off on my phone. I looked at it, looked at my window, could hear everything going on. But then I went back to sleep thinking everything would be okay. And after watching this video, the Lord gave me a revelation. The storm I am in in my life, I need to be able to trust Him in it just as I did this morning when I went back to sleep. He is in control no matter what. Even when people have free will. Thank You Lord we can rest in You.

God saved me 58 years ago when I was 7 years old when I was knocked unconscious and lay in a coma for 24 hours. My mom and dad prayed for me and the following day I woke up without any permanent damage, just a bump on my forehead. I stayed in hospital for a week so they could observe me and do X-rays etc. I was fine and still am by the grace of God.
Praise God! Today, they'd charge you the equivalent of a week but send you home the same day.

If God's will will always be done, and we can determine through prophecy that his will is already established, what's the point in praying for such a thing? Doesn't this go against one of the ultimate features of God - choice? If you assess these types of prayers, they are always really about asking God to impose YOUR will on others. Your will shouldn't extend past YOUR relationship with God. If you really want there to be great repentance and an outpouring of the holy spirit, be an agent for God. Go spread the word about CHOICE. Considering you want this to be national, you have a lot of doors to knock on!

Absolutely we should not be afraid of anything no matter what the outcome will be but we will continue to pray Psalms 10 that God remove all of those that are trying to remove Him...

No matter how much one wishes the outcome will be one way over millions, it is only in God's Will that an outcome will come true to his word. To make personal judgements based on ones' desires, does not mean that God has not His own Will.
