@tony biddle There was an ambulance on the scene at 6:20 , a police at 7:32 and finally fire department at 9:54. Because this was no doubt reported as a fire it would have been nice and most helpful, if the fire department had been there first. At least now we know that we get medical help fast in Marseille if needed :P.
I've never seen such an inept fire service. 10 minutes to arrive and 12 minutes before water is actually used to tackle the blaze. It would have been easier to just let it burn, the good they did! 🤦🏻♂️

Bus fire starting at the front? Looks like an electrical failure. They had been smart getting the other bus out of there. Sure, the fire brigade took a long time to get there. Maybe lots of traffic.
Besides, once there, FFs were quite efficient, correct manpower, rapid use of foam. In USA, they would have 3 engines, 2 trucks, 9FFs who would deploy 90 meters of strangled hose and have water on the bus within 8 minutes from arrival....
Lagaffebis...I agree they were quick and efficient once they arrived. But I take exception to your assertion that an American fire department would have used 3 engines and 2 trucks on a bus fire. I have seen many vehicle fires over the past 30-40 years and I have never once seen any fire department dispatch 3 engines and 2 trucks on a vehicle fire. They likely will if there is a structure directly threatened, but not routinely. And any fire department that takes 8 minutes to get water on a vehicle fire needs to review its training and procedures.

Comical. it took the fire truck how many minutes to arrive on the scene of the fire? The they had to assemble the hoses and connect to the water hydrant. American fire truck is quicker response, they keep hoses connected together in advance so that all they have to do is to pull the lengths of hose down. The truck also has a supply of water in a tank so that the fire can be put out right away.
