I am an Adele fan for many years. For me there are more differences than similarities between Angelina's and Adele's voices. Adele's voice sound shrill/tinny and Angelina's voice is fuller, richer and has more soul than Adele.

This obviously resonated with Angelina the day Adele released the song. Within about 8 hours, she posted a "raw" cover of this on TikTok that she recorded herself with her cellphone. Then a couple of weeks later, she posted this professional, refined Masterpiece that many think, including me, it's better than the original.
Came to say the same thing, Adele released her version October 15th, Angelina was on the 26th.

At the time Angelina released this, Adele's original was being played tons of times daily on the channel my colleague in the office next door was listening to. After hearing Angelina's version, I felt that the original was missing something, so often when I heard Adele playing on the radio, I put on my headphones to listen to this version instead.

She has had many live performances. She is a young living legend! Many see her as the best young female singer and versatile artist we have today! The entire music industry knows who she is, but she steers at her own pace towards unstoppable success and greatness. She is already an artist for the big occasions with e.g. The new FIFA World Cup's official anthem, in addition to several major performances. Like few artists, she has performed for the Nobel Peace Prize at the age of 8 and 17. She is 18 today.

If I'm correct she was 15 years old when she recorded this, shortly after Adele released it.
I agree she has some Adele tones in her voice but if you really compare the two versions,you'll realize how many different "colours" and textures she added to the song with her voice, giving it her signature jazz style .IMO, her version has more dynamic and feeling than Adele's. Angelina has such a broad range of vocal resources when she sings and she uses them with extreme intelligence and artistry.

As a Angelina angel, her voice never gets pitchy. There are times when, for me, Adele's voice does get pitchy. Singing comes so easily for Angelina, while we know Adele has had issues with her voice, due to straining it. Angelina will be performing two shows at the Westgate Resort and Casino, in Las Vegas, on February 29. She sounds even better live.

This is one of roughly 5 videos that I show to people new to her, for the reasons you mention. And you were right about her age, she was 15 in this one. Adele is one of Angelina's biggest idols when it comes to contemporary artists, and she has covered a total of 13 of her songs so far. The crazy thing with Angelina and THIS song is the fact that Angelina dropped a cover of it a mere 8-9 hours after Adele released it. Half shady maybe, but she did an absolutely beautiful job with it. In those few hours she had learned the melody and the lyrics, and decided what SHE wanted to do. So, at roughly 4am she dropped the cover on her TikTok 🙂 THAT is impressive if you ask me😉
10 months ago you reacted to Angelina at age 9 performing Unchained Melody by The Righteous Brothers live on Norwegian television. On December 11th last year she performed the song again. This time it was on The Nobel Peace Prize concert here in Norway, honoring the winner, Narges Mohammadi. Narges is an Iranian women's rights activist, and she has been sentenced to 35 years in jail for it. In addition to roughly 130 lashes. Angelina's grandmother, and also Angelina's biggest inspiration in life, you also saw her in THIS video, Mery Zamani, is also Iranian, and you have to imagine that this performance was very important for Angelina and her family. Narges has a twin son and daughter the exact same age as Angelina, and she hasn't seen them for many years. Now her children live in France with their uncle, but they received the prize in their mother's place, and they came to Oslo for the concert. They sat only a few metres away from Angelina during the performances, and it must have been very emotional for them. Taking this information into account, you see that the choice of song couldn't have been much better. And the same can definitely be said about Angelina's performance. The level of dignity, elegance and grace you see from this at the time 17 year old girl is simply incredible. Many of her fans say that it is her best performance to date, and I would really LOVE if you could fin d the time to react to it 🙂 Btw, this performance made Angelina the first artist younger than 18 to perform on the Nobel Peace Prize concert twice, the first time was when she was 8. At age 7 Angelina said in an interview that her biggest dream was to perform at the concert, so she is definitely making her dreams come true!

You have to ask yourself how a 15-year-old Angelina Jordan could do this song justice and give it the emotion it deserves? There is an obvious difference in tonal quality, and the emphasis they choose to put on the lyrics; or maybe I should say “where/what” they choose to emphasise! A little context. A few months before this release, fans saw video of Angelina's grandma in the hospital and knew she was dealing with issues. I'm pretty sure part of the reason her grandmother is in this video intro, was to indirectly lat fans know that grandma was out of the hospital and doing better. It was released, if I recall correctly, within a week of Adele's.

For me, Angelina‘s voice sounds very different than Adele‘s rendition of this song. I hear the blues influence and the breathy inflections and not the shrill inflections that I generally hear from Adele that hurts her voice so much.
Its about time Angelina started her own songs instead of covers.

I understand how you feel they sound very similar. It's also how you remember Adele singing it, however if you listen to both back to back you'll notice differences.
I love both, I happen to prefer Angelina's version. Hardcore Adele fans will gasp and proclaim blasphemy:-) Fans are much bigger gatekeepers than the artists themselves as a rule😂
