It truly is Regine’s longevity that puts her at the top of the OPM pantheon. Still the queen to beat. We can only know 30 years from now, if any of these artists come close to 2023 Regine. I disagree on Lea and Lani’s placement - they shouldve been at least top 5. Katrina is the one to watch out for, she should learn to control the need to do stunts every 10 seconds - otherwise she has great stuff. I wish Mori, does the same for her squeaks. But i really respect her as an artist.

Morissette amon is on a different level from all the others, and I'm not just talking about the Philippines. for this reason it is more appreciated in the world, than in the Philippines. She sounds like...... morissette Amon, has her own unique and rare timbre of voice, thanks to her vocal range ranging from full and full-bodied mezzo soprano to lyrical soprano but never screaming, she has her own style, the others sound like a copy of queens velasquez. Most of the time they sound like Regine Velasquez, like bad copies. And then queens velasquez knows, that Morissette amon is a vocal monster. She said it herself in an interview. Morissette amon is already legend. 🤷

The belters are always what some of the people or the listeners preferred, let's accept it that that what the market is looking for, the belters are the saleable and marketable one. But, it's also nice to hear a singer with no belting ability but sounds very effective like he or she will blown you away with his or her beautiful voice and singing ability even without the belting.

I love the way people say what great tone and resonance singers have when they have no idea what tone and resonance is. Great tone is Elvis, Steve Perry, Whitney, Mariah, Lea, Charice, and Jona. Many great singers, like Celine Dion, Freddy Mercury, Mickey Thomas, Sohyang, and Regine have good to very good tone and resonance, but not great tone and resonance.
