one of the greatest gatherings I have seen at I love this dance so far.. both brilliant. would be glorious to see them in a project creating together. her last set is so deep
When I'm watching this once thing becomes blatantly clear to me: HipHop is a fluid form of art and ever evolving, but apparently never takes into consideration different sets of muscles and moves. Daniel is pulling super sick moves that are probably on par (ballet vs breakdance) with Noe's, yet nobody is freaking out, as we all expect dancers to pull of similar moves to top the opponent. Really, I'm not trying to belittle women in saying they couldn't pull off these moves, (which they can) it's just dumbfounding me that a comparatively hard move in Ballett won't get any cheers, yet a Bboy move does. Seemingly only because, we've seen it so much that we think we understand the effort behind it. On second thought tho, it's so fun to watch these two, as it is literally akin to two kids playing.
although I would normally agree, no one cheered for Noe at 7:20 for these powermoves. in fact he got very little cheers his second round. Now..my theory is that a majority of the audience are mostly into HipHop/popping moves and very little of them understand hard ballet moves to pull off. It's why I feel bad for the other battle between Ness and Roma. Popping brings so much energy and Electro can as well but Roma's song choice was him going for a more artistic side of him (Usually if it's a battle he goes hard because the song goes hard). But unfortunately the audience didn't like the artistic slow side of dance they prefer power and beat kills. This is also noticeable in all the ILOVETHISDANCE years. Bats also did electro but the difference for him was his flexibility moves and strange style that made him get more reactions ontop of a more punchy song. Varo Loco does electro in his 2018 dance but he's an experimental dancer so he mixed in popping and breakdance and hiphop and he got a standing ovation for dancing beautifully with no boring moments for 6 MINUTES. I guess what I'm try to say is really It all comes down to the audience. I found Protogrid 10x better than sapo but 95% of the comment section on their "battle" is sapo fans lol so ig it's also personal opinion and also people not knowledgable in other areas of dance
@@CripAyyLmao Exactly, but to be honest, I find myself watching the reactions of the other dancers, seated in the back, more than listening to the crowd cheer. When the other professionals look perplexed, it's a pretty good tell, if somebody just pulled off something incredible.
@@felix_christopher Oh me too I rewatch video's to see their reaction lol it's something about a really good dancer with a unique style watch another super good dancer with a completely different style (or even better, the same style) and be like "I've never seen someone do that before" ;p I've been watching ILOVETHISDANCE videos for years now and occasionally love to see new comments on the videos and older comments as well so i'm glad about this chat
Captivated by pure talent ❤❤❤❤
It is so easy to identify a genuine artist. Not every one is capable of understanding art that well, one in a million. She is amazing.
DANIEL ROYZMAN, I'm in love with dance once again after watching you! I agree Daniel is the complete package.
Thank you sooooooooooo mutch for it, soooooo mutch.............

Both great dancers, Daniel is not only dancing, she's telling a story.
You can learn a lot from these two geniuses
Noé tell two impressives stories, the first was so original and the second, speechless.

He doesn't, but I'll be frank-his style of dance is (in a good way) so similar, that I had them mixed up for a good portion of watching these dances!!
