Sorry, I learned Spanish in high school, for four years - not French. I tried to learn some French after that - but all of that was 60 years ago. I may be wrong ! ☺

I am making myself a new summer dress, and I just got the fabric late today and thought I’d just lay it all out, cut out all the pattern pieces, pin them to the fabric and cut it all out - ready for tomorrow to start sewing ! The time just went by so quickly ! But I am ready now for my story, and all relaxed. Sounds like a good one. Hope all sleep well and enjoy pleasant dreams tonight, and hope everyone has a lovely day tomorrow ! We had 93* here today, and still very high humidity and no rain. Supposed to have bad storms tonight. You could see the lightning from miles away from us - it was quite the show, from the North. No sounds of course. We sometimes called that “electric lightening” when I was a young girl. Sweet dreams to all ! 🙏❤🫠
( found some really fresh halibut on sale today, as a treat for our supper tomorrow - can’t wait ! I’ve already cut the russet potatoes for the fries and have them in a bowl of water in the fridge to keep cold. I dry them in a clean dish towel just before I want to fry them in oil, and I double fry them. I use some beer, can be non-alcoholic, or even just plain fuzzy water for mixing the batter. I use one part cornstarch to three parts AP flour and one tsp of baking powder, and I fry the fish ( dried) in olive oil. I make my tartar sauce with mayo/made with olive oil, a little fresh lemon juice, and a small amount of green relish. Mix well. My husband is British/Canadian and says it’s the best he’s had. Tip: I cut one lemon, or more, and twist it in a lemon dish to separate the seeds out, and pour the juice into an ice-cube tray and freeze. Then I remove them and keep them in a covered freezer bag in the freezer. Always ready to use, just microwave. Hope you find this helpful. Don’t beat the batter, just mix it gently - you don’t want to disperse the “bubbles” because they make the batter light.❤
is cod the same in taste as halibut for your fish and chips, and is it a long dress, have you seen the latest chanel fabric on the dresses. it looks like towel fabric really nice. their other fabric looks like thick yarn very nice also

@@susanm7925 I see myself as a passionate, artistic and highly creative person. I’m retired now, but did work for a lawyer for a long time doing union contract negotiation work with him for school board teachers. While I was doing that, I was asked to teach a cooking class at night school twice a week. I sewed all my work clothes back then and took a course myself to learn tailoring on nights I wasn’t teaching the cooking. I raised two children throughout this time, and we are very close to them. When my daughter was in high school I made all her prom dresses, and had to turn down offers from other mothers who wanted me to do some for them. I also grow our vegetables and I can tomatoes to make all of our pasta sauce. I’ve enjoyed all of my creative pursuits, and cooking, and I make all our food from scratch, even our bread. I think when you grow up doing these things they just seem to be normal. What is important is that I really enjoy all these things. I have had cancer three times, breast, kidney, and cancer in my spine, but i have fought back each time. Every one is free to do what they want with their time, and I enjoy mine. Hi, Gemi, hope you are well and not having too warm weather there. This is only May, and we’ve had a few humid days in the 90’s.already. Glad we have Air-conditioning ! Things are growing too fast, almost too fast to keep up with ! Our one cat, who was ill Sunday night, seemed better this past Monday, which was a holiday here “Victoria Day”, and vet was closed - everything was. So, problem avoided. Hope Smokey is doing well ! 🙏❤🫠😺😺 Found the story interesting, and a bit sad, but good science fiction stories were meant to show society what could happen if we weren’t careful.
