I wouldn't call it a "dupe" exactly because the formulas feel different but I think they serve a similar function and both are amazing products in their own right. I've loved the Bare Minerals forever but have recently fallen in love with the Colourpop. For me, the Bare Minerals is a little more sheer and has a glowy finish while the Colourpop has a little more coverage and DOES NOT BUDGE. Sometimes I even use it like a primer when I do a more intense makeup look because it just anchors anything I layer over it - powder, blush, bronzer, whatever. But truly, I love them both!
Just bought the bare minerals one today but I think I’ll buy the colourpop one next because I want more coverage and less transferring. Thanks for sharing your thoughts!
@Myra Harts The texture isn't exactly the same - the Bare Minerals feels a little more water-based while the ColourPop feels more like lotion. But it's very hydrating as well and has hyaluronic acid so it helps with moisture balance. I also have dry skin (and rosacea and eczema) and both work well for me - they just have a slightly different look on the skin and the ColourPop has a bit more coverage. Hope that helps!

I picked this up on Black Friday because I kept hearing good things about it and I love it. I use it almost every day. I also love the Pretty Fresh foundation & the Pretty Fresh concealer.
I'm 64 and hated Zucchini Squash ! My husband made me spaghetti squash and I now love it , also tricked the grandkids telling them it was a different noodle and they loved it. We now make the regular spaghetti rarely . Give it a try if you haven't already. By the way , I think you're the best makeup RUclipsr.
I LOVE the Colourpop tinted moisturizer!!! It's one of the few products I can satisfactorily blend in using only my hands. So quick, so beautiful. I purchased the shade fair 1N. It's actually a little light which pleasantly surprised me because I, like you, have struggled to find complexion products that are light enough. I decided to mix it with some concealer that's a bit too dark for me. It made the perfect shade. Later I ordered a mini tube of fair 4N. Shades 2 and 3 have a warm undertone and I have a cool undertone. I can get by with neutral, but not warm. Fair 4N is actually my perfect shade. Once I finish this tube, I'll get the proper shade. There will definitely be a second tube, and a third, and a fourth and so on. Thanks for letting us know that it's a dupe for Bare Minerals Complexion Rescue. I tried to use it once, but because my hyper sensitive skin reacts horribly to products that include SPF in the formula, it was a disaster. Both chemical and mineral SPF, sadly, affect me with itchy redness, bumps and cystic clogged pores. My skin's perfectly happy, smooth and clear as long as I avoid it. I was SOOOOOO happy when I finally found a tinted moisturizer with great skin benefits that doesn't include SPF. I agree that it's an amazing product and should definitely be tried by those looking for this kind of very skin-like foundation. As always, I've really been enjoying Drugstore December. I have searched for years for a tinted moisturizer, BB or CC cream that will cover my red areas (My skin is on the sensitive side, and many things make my cheeks red). This Colour Pop tinted moisturizer does the trick!

I'm glad the Pretty Fresh foundation worked out for you. It didn't for me, unfortunately. I wear the Bare Minerals Complexion Rescue (Opal 01) daily and love it to bits, except for the price. I tried the Pretty Fresh foundation as I'd heard it was a dupe. It dried my skin out like crazy and I had a bad reaction to it. It took a week for my skin to return to normal. I do have dry, sensitive skin though, so that may be what the difference is. YMMV.

I am allergic to Rescue Me because with has an ingredient that contains coconut. Makes my skin breakout terribly. It made my skin look amazing though so looking forward to checking out the ingredients in the Colorpop.

I hate not being able to see my freckles but I have Lupus so I get that red butterfly rash look and I'm a natural redhead too, so I need something as a barrier to the sun, even indoors. I’m so I interested! I too have very fair skin and often cc creams can be hard to get light and cool enough. I feel they start a shade or two up or come across a little bit yellow on my complexion. I may have to get this and give it a try!

I've never tried the BareMinerals one because of the price point so I actually ordered the Colourpop one to hopefully replace my discontinued NYX bb cream. I can't say enough how much I love the colourpop! SO knowing that it's a good dupe for the bareminerals is good in case the colourpop one gets disco'd too. Also, why do brands get rid or tried and true products?? I hate that. But thanks for the video!! I know I'm watching it over a year later but still good!
One thing that tends to make products more expensive is SPF, and that’s something I won’t give up. Especially if it doesn’t feel like it has spf. It’s worth the investment for our health and healthy aging. :)

Ok kind of want to say the color pop side looks better, but only because it’s more flush and dewy-ish, the bare minerals looks beautiful too it’s luminous not as shiny so it would be preference in that regard

I am allergic to Rescue Me because with has an ingredient that contains coconut. Makes my skin breakout terribly. It made my skin look amazing though so looking forward to checking out the ingredients in the Colorpop.

Ok, I'm getting the Color Pop one!! I hate not being able to see my freckles but I have Lupus so I get that red butterfly rash look and I'm a natural redhead too, so I need something as a barrier to the sun, even indoors.

I’m so I interested! I too have very fair skin and often cc creams can be hard to get light and cool enough. I feel they start a shade or two up or come across a little bit yellow on my complexion. I may have to get this and give it a try!

I've never tried the BareMinerals one because of the price point so I actually ordered the Colourpop one to hopefully replace my discontinued NYX bb cream. I can't say enough how much I love the colourpop! SO knowing that it's a good dupe for the bareminerals is good in case the colourpop one gets disco'd too. Also, why do brands get rid or tried and true products?? I hate that. But thanks for the video!! I know I'm watching it over a year later but still good!

One thing that tends to make products more expensive is SPF, and that’s something I won’t give up. Especially if it doesn’t feel like it has spf. It’s worth the investment for our health and healthy aging. :)
Thank you for doing this. As a mom of 3 school age kids I have been looking for a more affordable tinted moisturizer, because I don't have time to put a full face on. Lol. Eyes and moisturizer are my go to.

Ok kind of want to say the color pop side looks better, but only because it’s more flush and dewy-ish, the bare minerals looks beautiful too it’s luminous not as shiny so it would be preference in that regard
