You could try my routine! Blow dry your hair until it's dry except for damp ends, then twist your hair into a bun that sits right at the top or the crown of your head. Be sure to use bobby pins instead of a hair elastic so it stays in place. If the twist is too tight it will take away any possible volume that you would have had, so don't be afraid to loosen it up a little near the roots, especially hear the forehead. I usually just go about my day with the bun, then once my hair is all dry and cooled down I can let it go. It really seals the waves in there and there aren't any kinks if you pin it right :)

Who'd go out with a guy like me? I may look alright, but I carry a strong odor. No matter how thoroughly I wash myself, it keeps lingering. And it gets worse as the day progresses. Hold my head up high? I try to evade crowds as much as I can. the floor seems to drop below my feet when I notice anyone reacting oddly, then it's full blown anxiety and depression for the rest of the day. I am broken and have been for a long time. Even if a girl shows interest I know how it will turn out. I cannot be myself, she will find out about the smell and get disgusted eventually. I will get hurt either way and it's back to square one. Let me tell you about despair. I don't go to restaurants, I don't go out, I don't go to social gatherings( I dont have an outdoor social life), I rarely talk to someone, but if I do I make sure the wind is hitting me in the front. If a girl talks to me I always keep a distance in fear of her smelling me. I got teased in high school, a girl "felt sorry for me" and sat in front of me and her friends made gestures of telling her friend to come back. The busrides were always with people who sat in front of me sniffing something and sometimes covering their noses. Do you have any idea how degrading that is for someone? I washed myself every day. I put on deodorant. I use aftershave. I see everyone having a "good time" laughing and being together like it's a normal thing. Couples walking around, I am alone and will be for the rest of my life. Only animals seem to like me and don't mind the smell. I will never feel like a normal human being. I can't travel, cause that will place me with other people. I am not broken? I am an absolute mess.
It's easy to say that when you don't have to live with it yourself. Imagine you farting and the smell lingers around you wherever you go, in public, with your friends, at family gatherings, would you still think positive? What about job interviews, school, the gym, you will be judged and nobody will care what the reason is or how it is affecting your life. You will be seen as unclean, even if you shower 5x a day. It just is and that will be seen as the person itself. Nothing beyond that.
Dan you have people trying to help you and you just keep throwing excuses. you dont know what anyone of us is going through. I have more than a million problems, but still tried to help you feel better. Stop sulking. so you stink, so what. Stop focusing on whats negative and try something new. No one can live your life for you. I lived a very long time blaming everyone and everything else for my issues, and then, I stopped. I stopped because I want to fewl better. You wouldnt have made the comment if you didnt need or want at least attention to your issue. That is the first step to over coming your problem. Finding "love" or a mate wil just drag you, and that person down if you are not ready for it, and it is CLEAR that you arent. Dont waste time teying to find a girl friend when you dont even know how to love yourself. Take charge of this thing and turn things around. Stop feeling sorry for yourself and get it back together. You are worth feeling better, you are worth smelling and looking better and you are definently worth holding your head up high. No one can do this for you, and I dont intend to waste time on someone that doesnt really want help, just attention. You know damn right well that if you can reach out here you can go get better. I know exactly how it feels to have a dibilitating issue that cripples your soul and stops any and all effort in its tracks, but you and only you can stop this feeling. I swear you can. If there is anyone in this world that knows this its me. Dont give up, stop wating time on excuses and go out and grab life by the balls. I will actually be here any time on this comment section if you need to vent. If you want to give up, thats normal, but dont, because you have two choices sink or swim, damn it swim your ass to the nearest boat and climb in because you have a life to live and you arent doing yourself any justice just treading water.

My hair gets the ponytail crease and my baby hairs get frizzy when I sleep in a bun.
