While very dated style of presentation, it’s so much better than RTÉ 1 of today. Lots of proper local content there. Ah at 2pm “Live at Three” Repeat Search for A Star 💫 Special 😂 Its a pity there isn’t that much Live at Three or indeed Glenroe online 😮 and the channel was trashed so much over recent years.
The music used during the closedown sequence was used by Channel 4 between 1987 and 1993 on the ITV Schools continuity (the ITV logo spinning around)

News summaries back then had no video input, no autocue and just a rip and reed copy of the RTE Radio 1 news summary close to TV broadcast.
Very similar to local news summaries on most regional ITV stations a decade earlier, but somewhat dated for a national broadcaster by the mid-1990s.
