@@wisteela It is an Alimak Hek climbing lift. Only 3 places in the country had these as passenger lifts. All of them have turned out to be rubbish and kept breaking down all the time. All of them have been replaced or abandoned.
I've never been impressed with those lifts kone ecodiscs would have been far better or even convert the existing ones to get rid of those horrible motors.

I love these. I wonder why they put in a climbing lift. Are climbing lifts as safe as a standard lift?
Glasgow Science Center Tower I think has Alimak Hek climbing elevators (I think they are actually called rack & pinion elevators).
I agree with that argument! I really like special ideas away from being just practical.

I’ll tell you why climbing lifts break down because is the moter is probably old so it stops and it makes a noise going up and down
