    i found this video to be super interesting!! i really liked the conversations you had after you finished a book - all of the books you read sound very interesting especially “bad feminist!” i agree that feminism is an all-encompassing term that HAS to include economics and race. when you talked about “bad feminist” it reminded me of this really great youtube channel i highly recommend called “for harriet” - she talks about black media/pop culture and brings up a lot of really interesting topics!

    A really fascinating non-fiction book on women that I would recommend is “The Unwomanly Face of War” by Svetlana Alexievich. It tells the story of the hundreds of women who served in World War Two for the Soviet Union. It’s a great read and really unique and shines a light on the sacrifices that women made that were never recognised or even talked about until the release of the book after the fall of the Soviet Union. Keep up the great work 👍🏻

    Can I respectfully offer some constructive criticism? You spent about five minuets on the intro. You talked very generally about yourself and the introduction to these three books.
    I honesty don’t know if you have any value commentary. You basically spent the time talking about yourself. This is RUclips. People, including myself, don’t care about you.
    Make your argument. Otherwise, just write a diary. This video is just boring.

      Nah, she's doing everything perfect. Booktube is a community of people who tend to lean just as much into their real lives, as the impact books have on them. We care just as much about the people as we do the books. May I suggest you check out a more editorial or essay style channel like Ms Mojo or Wise Crack, Crash Course or Lindsay Ellis which offer more trendy sterile quick-to-the-point commentary on media. We're a more vlog-centric, lifestyle community on this end of things and we like it that way. 💕 There's an audience out there for everything and you simply found yourself in the wrong place. It's a little concerning that you believe she would take your advice, when no one would suddenly start catering their content to appease someone so blatantly rude. This isn't your style of content, no big deal- move on. 👋

      you should go read a book review if you don't wanna hear her individual opinion about these books. RUclips is about the individual so actually, she's spot on talking through her own opinion. i thoroughly enjoyed this video but if you didn't - feel free to look elsewhere (:

    • @johnweb7055
      @johnweb7055 4 года назад +1

      The three responses to my comment do not relate to what I said. Let me try to break this down....This is RUclips. Any poster has just a few minutes to capture the audience. This is not a debate on campus, this is a debate online.
      If you notice, I did not take a position on the argument underlying the video. Why? Because, as I said, the video boring. This is not a criticism of any ideology, this is a statement about the stricter or the RUclips video.
      If you agree with the video, that’s fine. We can argue about the validity of the hypothesis. However, we can also agree with whether this video makes a coherent argument that can have an impact on RUclips. Those are two separate issues.
      Hate me if you want to. Disagree with me if you want to. That’s fine. But if you are going to respond to my comment, then respond. I said it was boring. Respond to that statement.
