Kevin, believe it or not, those baskets at 7:05 are potentially big money. Flower/herb gathering wicker baskets ... sell between about $30 and $50 for many, sometimes more. Those looked larger - or at least one of them was - so solid profit there.
Back in the 90s, I went to an estate sale that advertised "records" . They had one record in a box - I said how can you advertise records when you have only one? "Oh, go in the shed, it's full of records". It was 110 degrees in that shed, and I spent about two hours in there looking through thousands of records. That was a hot one! I bought about 200 pieces for $35, about $2000 worth at mid-90s prices. You've got to sweat a little if you want to find good stuff.
Hey Kevin I came across your channel on FB and ever since I have been hooked now I have so many videos to watch on RUclips... been binge watching you every day (literally) love to you and the family from the UK 🇬🇧 😊
What makes me happy is that stuff has been laying dormant for yearrrrrssss forgotten by the hoarder, and then one day we resellers come along and give the stuff a new lease on life! Makes my heart very happy 💕💞💖 The deer was magnificent! 💟💟
One estate sales agent was notorious for asking for high prices, because he would just keep the items people would leave and the pile would grow. Found out that he would then auction those picked items for good money, or ebay them himself using some 3rd party. He had a fancy show room warehouse too. Honestly the home owners just want to cleared out, so they can sell the home, and not be stuck with more bills.
Awesome haul there Kevin. There was definitely alot of stuff in that house. And way too many people for the room you had to look around. God Bless you and your family.
Boy that was a sale. The man outside just wanted to get rid of it and the lady inside was trying to make a profit i laughed at you because you were so excited and your friend was all calm ha ha great video
Great sale, lots of cool stuff. I have that ALF Thermos lunchbox w/the thermos in VG cond sitting on the shelf in my ebay room. Thanks for sharing Kevin
Wow and wow again - some Great Stuff - That House was full to the Rafters - That Goofy Disney Shirt was a real Find - overall You done extremely well - keep Safe and many ,many Cheers from Australia - we love it !!!!
CP, you looked like you shifted into HIGH gear on that hoarder pick, if it weren’t for the crowding, it’d be a picker’s paradise. Don’t you wish you had that place to yourself for about an hour? Lots of hidden treasures under the junk. Thanks for taking us along.
Ones like that you go with your gut and grab whatever you think may hold value and pile it up then do comps. Around here it's way worse at just about every sale. Literally, people will rampage through rooms, tossing stuff (and sometimes people) out of the way.
It takes some tools, but that pencil sharpener is worth about $15 and the bench grinder is worth at least $50. Also, don't overlook full skeins of yarn. Yarn can fetch really good prices, I've sold a skein of yarn for $25 before. As always, great vid and I hope the family is well.
You had to look EVERYWHERE at that sale. Things were in unexpected places, inside other things, under things, etc. I could have spent an entire day there and not seen it all, but what a joyful day it would have been. Thank you for picking up the things you dropped and for putting the plush back where you found it. So many people today don't take responsibility for anything and it is so refreshing to see people do what they should. I worked in retail and so many people decide they don't want something and just dump it anywhere they happen to be. It makes the store look junky, and, despite picking things up all day, it would take about an hour after closing time to set the departments back to order so everything would look nice the next morning. Too many people are lazy and/or don't take responsibility. Thank you for what you do. Where did you get your camera harness, please? Is it just for a phone or camera too? Thanks. The collection of toy plates, spoons, etc. looks like it came right out of my childhood. I had those exact ones...still do, but will be selling as we clear out to downsize.
I believe he's said he uses a GoPro8 maybe a 7, but his early videos a year ago on CommonwealthPicker were on his phone. Those harnesses are easy to find on the net. Just Google or search, GoPro Harness👍
I love picks like this. I went to an estate sale last year. I was in the attic of the house for over an hour on a very hot summer day. But well worth it. I made hundreds off of that sale.
The adrenaline rush and anxiety just watching you pick!😳 this is what I live for when I go picking...* Ive been picking for about 10+ years now. I come across some amazing finds out we’re I live in a rural area. The houses are further apart but I’ve picked some amazing things. I wished I have filmed to show all the fellow pickers the cool stuff I’ve come across. It’s exciting!...* 🌻☮️✌️🌎
Laz - yaasss! It’s so crazy & fun. I went to a yard sale last season and this couple were selling a ton and they said they sold on eBay so of course your like oh everything is looked up and based off of online prices well nope either they sold on eBay a long time ago or they were not good at it lol. I ended up purchasing an antique type writer which they said was a child’s toy. I bought it for $5 flipped it next day for $534.00 plus ship. It was not a child’s type writer it was just antique. It’s stuff like that I wish I could share with you all 😁
@@capt.americamom7101 I don't know if it's the most valuable pick, but it was the most memorable. Found a listing on FB Marketplace that was just titled "estate" with a pic of the front of the house and no description besides the address, which happened to be about 6 blocks from the house (Yippee!). It was the lady's grand daughter and she was totally overwhelmed and only had help from her grand aunt and uncle, who were pretty decrepit themselves. I immediately started finding stuff and piling, even found a 1942 HS yearbook. I spent an hour in the house, 2 hours in the garage wading through old doll boxes and trash, and an hour in the attic literally crawling over raccoon poop... and I loved every minute of it. lol. I got tons of stuff, filled my Jetta up twice. I got (17) 1984-85 Cabbage Patch dolls, a cap gun, models and games from the 1940-50's, etc. It was a pile bigger than the sofa and when she said $100 for everything I couldn't get my money out fast enough. I made about $2000 off that.
Laz - wow!😃 that would of been awesome to see!...* I enjoy old papers like post cards letters old photos anything with history...* When I first started doing this I always stayed away from estate sales thinking they are too expensive but soon learned you just never know. Just how you went to that one found a lot of goodies and only paid $100.00 😃👍 now I go to any because you just never know...*
Cool find's... That's kinda crazy the sale didn't start till 2pm pretty much the hottest part of the day... You certainly will make some sweet profit... Stay safe...👍💕🔥😷🌎
bought my first vcr/dvd combo. Panasonic. had the remote. they wanted 10.00. it was clean so i grabbed it without looking it up since it seemed like a high end one. get home and want to slap myself for buying it
ah ha! now we know. your grandmother got you started off right teaching you to bargain hunt with that game. I love your channel, your personality. I find myself watching your videos more and more.
Wow! I hope I find a sale like that! I would have been there for at least 2hrs. Ha ha! Recently, I was trying to go to a sale on that yard sale map & me & my aunt walked up to this guy's garage. He had all this stuff laying out on the ground outside of the garage. We started looking around at all the stuff & the guy seemed offended we were there. It turned out that yard sale map sent us to the wrong address ha ha!
At first I could have sworn it was an old corelle or corningware dish but I actually went to google because i had to see if i was right and Nope I am not lol It is vintage Anchor hocking fire king 1qt. baking dish and it is going for about 20 to 30 bucks
I like that you talk a lot, I just started my eBay business back in March and have learned a lot from you. Also I believe the gopher is from Caddy Shack.
Would have went back inside just to cool down then check back outside again. Yes go back and look last day, start outside and buy much more, then go and pick the inside, check the nook and crannies for items others didn't look at just from the mess.
I actually love picking places like that although it takes a lot of time. You got some cool things! Like a Virgin, had to have the album when I was 8 in 1987 😮...nice sale!
Wow what a mess to go through. Crazy gin I guess. Lady in the house was way to high on prices!!! Geeze people are helping her out cleaning out that house!! Nice fines my friend. 😃
That is my kind of estate sale. A little bit of everything. If it wasn’t a hoarder house, there aren’t any. We visited up in Patrick county the last few days. Next time we will go a little more north to Lynchburg area so we will visit your antique booth. We live just south of Raleigh NC
I just looked up the folding lawn chairs (we used to sleep on them when we camped in our tent), there are some beautiful color combinations out there. What is the #7 box? 📦
Honest Tim has a 1986 Dodge Ram B-250 and it looks beautiful. I always keep an eye out for vans like mine here in Florida and I have yet to see one. But on your channel I've seen a maroon one and now Honest Tim's Blue one. NICE I can understand records making a comeback, but 8 track, who sells the players for those? See ya on the next one. Pick-on
The best is when you go to the last day of the sale and there it is peeking out from behind the other chemicals. I also found 3 boxes in the very back under the kitchen sink one time. lol
So I just had my first return and EBAY is confusing me. If they are returning the item because it does not meet description and the return has been approved, do they have access to print a return label or do I nees to so something. I have followed the directions on ebay but I dont see anything allowing me to authorize a return label. Help
Kevin, believe it or not, those baskets at 7:05 are potentially big money. Flower/herb gathering wicker baskets ... sell between about $30 and $50 for many, sometimes more. Those looked larger - or at least one of them was - so solid profit there.
Nice. Thanks for the bolo
Thanks for sharing the tip! Shipping looks like it might be a little challenging though.
Teetee Ree only in the sense that it would need a big box most of us don’t have typically on hand. Still easier than most glass, etc, I think.
