Brent, really enjoyed your video. All the chili looked good. Henry makes the cutest little firefighter! Looks like y'all had fun and especially the boys. Love y'all and God Bless!❤
Thank you, Carla! The Gatlinburg Chili cookoff is always a blast. Out of curiosity, does Oklahoma include beans in chili? We know that in Texas, they usually keep them out but we're wondering if beans are in chili in Oklahoma too. We love you too and God bless!
Thank you so much, InfiniteLimitlessLightX Which part of Tennessee did you visit when you were here? We appreciate your kind comment and hope that you're having a nice evening.
Thank you for watching! There are so many great chili varieties to choose from and it's such a fun event. We hope that you're having a nice evening and thanks so much for watching.
Thank you for a wonderful video all that chili looked amazing and Gentry and Henry are getting so big I also love Wendy's chili and chili always should have beans that's how my daddy used to make it I love you guys have a great week ❤️😊
Thank you, Lori! They are definitely growin up fast. You can't go wrong with a great cup of Wendy's chili. We agree - beans are a must in chili. We hope that you're having a nice week as well. Thanks so much for watching.
🎉🎉 on your 4th year going chill and cornbread yummy gatiburg looks beautiful 4 the holidays season ty very much for taking us with you sending lots and tons of hugs support ❤❤❤and kitty's support always on 😊❤ have a fantastic week be careful and safe out there xoxo
Thank you so much, Michelle! The chili and cornbread was such a great combo and one of our favorites at this year's event. We agree - Gatlinburg sure does a great job of painting the town for the holiday season. We hope that you have a wonderful evening and thanks so much for watching!
A lot of that chili looked really good. If I recall from last year, the Fireman's tent was excellent! In glad you guys had a great family weekend in the Smokys!
It was really good. Hillbilly's and Loco Burro's were great too. So many of the booths change up their recipe from year to year but it seems like the fire department and police department keep theirs almost the same and it works well for them since they usually end up placing each year in the competition. We missed y'all this year but hope that y'all had an awesome weekend.
Hello everyone nice chili cook off. I love to see the boys growing gentries scoring into a young little teen and Little Henry. He’s so cute. Just adorable.
@debraegas4347, we agree! It was beautiful weather, a great time trying all of the different chili recipes, and hanging out with everyone. We appreciate your kind compliments very much! Thanks so much for watching, and we hope that you have an awesome week ahead!
Thank you, @followthearrows It was great meeting y'all as well. We feel like we already know you from watching y'all's videos, but it's nice to finally meet y'all in person. Definitely! We visit Ohio often. Hopefully we'll catch y'all at King's Island sometime next summer.
I don't like beans in my chili so I make chili without them.. the last time I made chili it turned out so good.. I put onions and peppers and chili peppers and celery plus a whole lot more.... hehehe I wish I could send you some then maybe I might just win an award.... hehehe😅😊p.s. oh i also serve my chili over whipped potatoes..can't eat it no other way...lol
That sounds like a delicious chili that you make and the celery addition sounds like it would be delicious! The chili over the whipped potatoes sounds interesting but we bet it's a great pairing. We've never tried it that way. Thanks so much for watching, Susan! Have a nice evening.
Dawsonville, Ga...home of Awesome Bill from Dawsonville!! Ya'll should go there sometime. Eat at the pool room and see the Georgia Motorsport Hall of Fame. Lots of shopping in the area, and many things to do and see. If you ever think of going, let me know. I have been down several times over the years, so I can give great suggestions on where to go and what to see. You would enjoy time spent there and in the surrounding area. Love chili!! Nothing says Fall has arrived more than that first pot!
Thank you so much for the recommendations! We will definitely consider Dawsonville, Georgia for a future video. It sounds like a really fun town to visit. We hope that you’re having an amazing weekend, Cathy!
@@robinthomason930 Actually, I live in Virginia, but I have a dear friend that lives on Notley Lake. I have been all over northeast Ga. on my trips down to visit her. Ellijay is a great spot. Doholaghana is a beautiful town, esp. during the holidays! Love Helen and riding the train in Blue Ridge. The planetarium at Young Harriss is always fun. I could go on and on. And of course, being a huge Bill Elliott fan, Dawsonville is great! You are right about the onion rings! And the hamburgers! Fresh cut fries too! All this good food while reading the walls about the Elliott Family and their amazing achievements. Nothing better.
The prices drastically increased this year. It was $25 per person to enter or $50 for VIP early entry, which included entering 1 hour early and admission to try additional chili tents. We did the VIP last year and most of the additional chili tents were extra spicy. Thanks so much for watching, Angela! We hope that you have a great evening.
did it seem less busy this year? I didn't go. Its went up 10 bucks over the last 2 years and honestly the places participating seemed to put little effort into the chili except for like 2 places. Just didn't feel it was worth 25 bucks a person. especially since the locations keep getting smaller and smaller too.
The price hike was definitely noticed with a thinner crowd than usual. We felt that last year was outr least favorite year with the quality of chili, but this year's chili was overall a little better. There were more booths this year, but some booths didn't appear this year such as Ripleys.

That looks like a fun cook-off. We'd have green chili cook-off s in New Mexico when I lived there ❤it was fun. Your children are so sweet
We bet there was some great chili at the cookoff in New Mexico.

@ in Florida on work trip. Missing the mountains 😁
@ we hope that you’re having a great time soaking up some sunshine and that you’ll be able to make it back to the mountains soon.
@ hurricane that was in gulf. Has it cloudy and rainy. It’s a work trip anyway only here until Thursday. The food is my favorite 😁

Henry is cute in his firefighter hat
Thanks for taking us alone. Did you pay one price at the gate to enjoy all the different booths with tasting each chili?
