Lol, good going with the pepper, sir. I was on an FB group a few years ago and I asked about this pepper and Troy chimed in to laugh when I asked about its availability. He's know for being so good-natured, so I couldn't be sad.
Absolutely awesome! Beautiful pod and fantastic review and no one could of been more deserving of trying this new creation… thanks for sharing this moment with us all 🔥🙏🔥
When Johnny said, "NO FLORAL NOTES!" I literally said out loud, WOW! Completely surprised me. And his face after first reaction, the turn away, had me nervous!
Johnny this was one of my favorite reviews...and I have had a lot of favorites! Troy thank you for allowing us to experience this through Johnny!!! 1.9 Million WOWOWOWOWOW!!!
Absolutely hunk of a pepper. Love the warts and size of the pepper the insides look also amazing. Hope my cross next year will be able to compete with the legendary Troy
You have me trying new and wonderful peppers 🌶 and spicy foods! I'm not ready for most yet, but slowly working my way up🙂 for lunch today I had spicy noodles with red chili peppers, Spicy Thai hot oil, Louisiana buffalo sauce and that little bit of honey. I put a lot of other things in it too but that's the main on the spicy and sweet. Much love everyone on the bus❤
That'll be a great one to grow in the future! I can understand the reasoning behind holding off on releasing this one early due to controversial issues. It'll be fun to grow though!
I have the smallest dab of reaper sauce or naga oil and i'm useless for about 30 mins after. I thought he was just guna nibble the scorpion end.. but nope, the whole thing.
My tolerance is such, I definitely want something more. For cooking, I am pretty much immune to the Reaper. I ate a Reaper on camera today, just to prove to someone my tolerance (just a little lower than Johnny's). Often times, though, the Reaper disappoints and isn't any hotter than a Ghost... so I hope Pepper X delivers.
@@ch00chNy well, if that’s the case I’m a bit broken hearted. The Carolina Reaper has been a point of pride for me as I went to high school in Fort Mill where Puckerbutt Farms is located. I’ll just try tonguing to my illusion for now if you don’t mind.
That looks uncannily similar to the Apocalypse Scorpion. I grew a few shrubs of those 2 years ago. Hands down, hotter than the Carolina Reepers I also grew those same years. They were creepers, and felt like blow torches straight into the mouth at peak intensity. Flavor profile was also magnificent, though I preferred the buttery smoothness of the Reeper.
@peterjohnson9291 Dude, you could not possibly be more incorrect. Have you actually tried any? Many people disagree with me on the Reaper, but it is my personal favorite of all... milds and supers altogether. Apocalypse Scorpion is identical flavor. Much hotter than the Reaper, but a little drier. The flavor doesn't adhere to the mouth and persist for very long. My 3rd favorite is the Death Spiral. Delicious when ripe, but I think it tastes slightly better before it turns completely red. Somewhere in the light orange stage is just perfect.
A buddy and myself have been messing around with cross breeding peppers and a few other green plants and seeing what we get, we arent professionals by any means when it comes to peppers so hopefully something comes from it 😂
I just ate a Carolina reaper , half of a half. I washed my hands 4 times and still burns where ever I touch. I don’t know how you do what you do. My face , nose , tongue , throat ….. 🔥 🥵. Salute 🫡 to you johnn
Lol. I am broken. You nailed it. Thank you for watching and joining my journey. There are over 500+ other savage challenges you haven't seen. I'm getting close to the 5,000th video, so there is plenty there to sort through. Make sure you check out the Skydiving Reaper Challenge. The playlist will help you watch what you want. Cheers
True story!! Right at the end of this video, my Eye itched as I reached up the scratch it. I freaked out I was living vicariously through you thinking I just touched that pepper😂.
Question Johnny, well maybe more of a request, but could you explain the testing process the peppers under go? I think they test the powder but that pretty much is the scope of my knowledge. What I am wondering is what does someone like Troy have do to have his peppers tested, what is that process and who conducts the test?
@@ericstites9470 its a myth not a reality. i reasearched into it. its never been officially recognized. from what ive found, only the inner skin rated 3 million whilst the rest of the pepper was more standard level. This is actually how ALL peppers work. If you measured the scoville of just the hottest part inside the pepper you will find that all hot peppers can about double their scoville level in this part of the pepper. The Trinidad Scorpion is the hottest natural pepper with between 1.5 and 2.5 million scov units, and the Carolina Reaper is basically just a variant hybrid of the scorpion - hence the identical look.
@@enochthewitness-2023 ahhh, I see. I do remember some controversy over the Carolina Reaper being labeled the hottest in the world - like only one particular specimen was that hot, and most of them are about the same as the Trinidad Scorpion... which is more consistently hot.
Thats funny you mention your gums burning.. About 10 years ago I got a jalapeno pepper plant that was developed in Tx university or something.. The plant was labeled "super hot" and had a little tag and story of how it was specifically developed to be super hot and won some award or something. Anyways those peppers were so hot they would burn your tooth sockets right into your skull. Not sure why that happens but its a whole nother level..
I used to enjoy eating peppers and drinking a beer or two. I thot i was an eater, then i ate a habanero just like this guy did. Gobbled it down. It was hot, im not an eater lol. Respect this man. Irongut!
Before you ask, please don't even ask Troy for seeds. He is NOT selling these seeds currently. But WOW, what a pepper!
Well said Johnny
What an honor! So cool! Thanks for sharing Johnny, and Troy.

Then there is zero point in me getting past :30 in the video. Thanks!
Where is the best site to buy fresh pods?
Johnny’s ability to stay relaxed under intense pain is crazy lol
Or that he doesn’t have a single bead of sweat! I would be dying!!
what’s his name again? i didnt understand it for the 10th time in this video alone

Troys peppers are like an unstoppable force meeting Johnny the immoveable object.
I think it's safe to say that we have reached the point where peppers are now being weaponized...
Pepper spray has been around for a while now
They are weaponized lol, it’s called OC spray, 2.5+ million units measured
Ya...And Don"t forget to Rub your Eye"s...lol
"pepper spray"
What do you think pepper spray is…🙂
Cant wait to see what type of sauces that can get created with this pepper! Awesome video!
I’m extremely jealous that you were able to try this pepper, I’m also extremely excited.
Thank you for posting such a glorious video.
Thank you so much Alex!
jealous of what? every pepper of this heat will burn in your mouth and you won’t taste anything in tears
Thanks for driving Johnny!
Beautiful! Troy is a good man. He's helped me alot during my journey so far. He's always been there to answer any questions. That's rare.
The look on your face when that second peak hit was pure joy. And that phenotype is a brutal beauty.
Congrats Troy !!!!
Love the double climb….
The 7 Pot Primo is my absolute favorite pepper!!!
I can't wait to try this beast of a pepper!
Cheers Johnnny, Cheers Troy!!
That pepper looks like its from a different planet. Cool looking but yet scary looking at the same time.
I think it's a pretty general rule that the more lumpy, spikey, bumpy it is the hotter it is.
it looks just like a Carolina Reaper.
Looks like a demon toenail
I would love to get some macro photos of it.
Absolutely awesome! Beautiful pod and fantastic review and no one could of been more deserving of trying this new creation… thanks for sharing this moment with us all 🔥🙏🔥
With this pepper, I could stop using capsaicin crystals for challenges 😂. That pod just scares me 🔥
Definitely had some dark seeds on the one side.Haven’t seen Johnny struggle like that in a long time.

I absolutely love growing hot peppers and jaring them and making sauces and toppings for later use i want some of them seeds.

You can't have a very good flavour profile with a chilli that is that hot. it's not possible. Most chillies over 1M SHU have little flavour profile.

Of the milds, I think Cayennes are my number 1. All of them. Hibanero second, and Tabasco third.

This just floored me. I can't understand how you can handle that heat? I stick with stuffed green peppers. Still need a tums afterwards.
I had to subscribe... this is right up there with man walking on the moon!
You should try Pepper X. It is grown by Ed Currie, the man who created the Carolina Reaper. He claims it is almost twice as hot as the Reaper.
If memory serves me correctly, Pepper X hits 3.1 million Scovilles.

The chemicals plants make for "defense" like capsaicin are called secondary metabolites
plants sometimes make more secondary metabolites when they are stressed
