Mimi is the most talented and maybe the "trick pony" but she was still not unique. That is what will take them to the next level. The uniqueness of Josefin is why she could make it on her own and Mimi would have a much harder time. It's just a fact that uniqueness is less available than good talent in the music industry. Like you and all 5 coaches (4 chairs, 1 being a duo), I was blown away. Dumbstruck. Gobsmacked. Mimi on the left is 15 and her sister is 13 in that audition. There is, on RUclips, a longer version of their audition in which there is a - I was about to say 'fierce', but it was not quite that hostile - a desperate battle by all 4 coaches to win the girls to their team. After the female coach on the end told a very touching story (auf Deutsch) that moved the girls to come down and hug her, all 7 knelt in a circle and the coaches passed the 'ball' (I think it was a sweater) around so each could make his appeal while the others had to zip it. I have never seen any other coach selection take half that much time. In the end, after some whispered consultation, they selected the male duo (BossHoss) to mentor them. The 2 female coaches could not quite cover their disappointment. The sisters won the Kids Voice Germany this year. Their father is a conductor; their mother sings opera; and their music room is always busy so they describe themselves as "the neighbores from hell". They have already made a concert appearance with their mentors' band.

If I may, without putting words into your mouth, I'd like to give my take on what you were saying around time stamp 8:00. Dalton is like Paganini, a virtuoso soloist. The girls are like the Budapest String Quartet, a virtuoso ensemble. He can let his instrument go wherever it wants to in the context of the piece whenever and however it wants to either blending with or in contrast to the background. But he has no other soloist to blend with. They have a limited opportunity to do soar individually; Josie does so more than Mimi in this song. But they can display another type of virtuosity that he can't. They so easily slip into a harmony that is tightly tuned not just in pitch, but in timing AND (marvelously) in timbre. In the last unison, you can hear them slide into a unity of timbre. When virtuoso soloists compose or improvise they often follow the temptation to display their skill with the instrument rather than the musical impact of the piece as a whole. You can hear this in some of the work of Paganini, Maynard Ferguson (jazz trumpeter), as well as in a lot of arias, especially for coloratura soprano. And, to a lesser extent, in Dalton's "Creep" as contrasted with Mimi & Josie's version. Dalton is much more impressive vocally, as an individual, but by soaring in front of the arrangement, he leaves it, at times, behind. The girls elevate their arrangement (and they say elsewhere that it is their arrangement) with them.
They are good, they sound really nice....but no one can do it like our boy Dalton. He's the greatest...love their voice anyway....love them...👍good job...PW...🤗🤗🤗.💞💞U..

Everyone (almost?) loves the younger girl's voice (sorry, for my "eng" firstly, and because I don't know who is Mimi and who Josefin), ok it's true, his voice tone is particular and for sure is not bad but I prefer much more the piano girl.

If I may, without putting words into your mouth, I'd like to give my take on what you were saying around time stamp 8:00. Dalton is like Paganini, a virtuoso soloist. The girls are like the Budapest String Quartet, a virtuoso ensemble. He can let his instrument go wherever it wants to in the context of the piece whenever and however it wants to either blending with or in contrast to the background. But he has no other soloist to blend with. They have a limited opportunity to do soar individually; Josie does so more than Mimi in this song. But they can display another type of virtuosity that he can't. They so easily slip into a harmony that is tightly tuned not just in pitch, but in timing AND (marvelously) in timbre. In the last unison, you can hear them slide into a unity of timbre.
When virtuoso soloists compose or improvise they often follow the temptation to display their skill with the instrument rather than the musical impact of the piece as a whole. You can hear this in some of the work of Paganini, Maynard Ferguson (jazz trumpeter), as well as in a lot of arias, especially for coloratura soprano. And, to a lesser extent, in Dalton's "Creep" as contrasted with Mimi & Josie's version. Dalton is much more impressive vocally, as an individual, but by soaring in front of the arrangement, he leaves it, at times, behind. The girls elevate their arrangement (and they say elsewhere that it is their arrangement) with them.
They are good, they sound really nice....but no one can do it like our boy Dalton. He's the greatest...love their voice anyway....love them...👍good job...PW...🤗🤗🤗.💞💞U..

Everyone (almost?) loves the younger girl's voice (sorry, for my "eng" firstly, and because I don't know who is Mimi and who Josefin), ok it's true, his voice tone is particular and for sure is not bad but I prefer much more the piano girl.
