Triglav from Pokljuka - 2 wonderful days in the heart of the Julian Alps

- For the first time in my life I conquered Triglav 3 times in the same year, in fact I was on Triglav 3 times in 2 months. If the first 2 ascents were planned, this one was completely unexpected. Me and Iztok met Petra and Monika 14 days ago, when we were sleeping at the bivouac below Grintovec, the girls and I caught up and we agreed on a new hike in the hills, the girls chose Triglav... Ok, Triglav.
💥We immediately agreed that the tour would be 2 days, the girls said, you just loot, and we'll go... So we looted.. Iztok booked the cabin, and I looted the route. I didn't want them to go up and down the same route as most... why not spice things up a bit and tackle Triglav in a circular route.
💥That's what we did. the ascent was very "classic", from Rudno polje, via Studor saddle, Vodnik's hut, Konj saddle, Planika, Mali Triglav to the top of Slovenia, and we made the descent along a route that few visitors to Triglav use.
💥From Aljaž's tower, we went down towards Škrbina, Plemenice (in my opinion, technically the easiest descent (or ascent) from Triglav), the cabin on Dolič (I myself jumped to the remains of the former barracks below Triglav), and there we turned into Velo dolina (met an ibex, saw a marmot), descended to Velo polje, and then climbed to our lodging (Vodnik hut).
💥On the 2nd day, we only went down to Pokljuka and the wonderful gathering was completed.

⚡️Walking time Day 1: approx. 11 hours
⚡️Walking time on day 2: approx. 3 hours 30 minutes
⚡️Altitude meters: approx. 1900 m
⚡️Height of starting point: 1350 m
⚡️Height of Triglav: 2864 m
⚡️Difficulty of the route: very demanding marked route

Bravo Peter! Super video. Ko sem šel jaz na Triglav l. 2002, sem šel isto z Rudnega polja, mimo Vodnikovega doma in čez Konjsko sedlo, z razliko od tebe, na Kredarico in ne na Planiko. S Kredarice sem šel na vrh Triglava ter nazaj na Kredarico, kjer sem prespal, naslednji dan pa se vrnil mimo Staničeve koče, šel pod Rjavino do Vodnikovega doma in na Rudno polje. Tudi jaz sem srečal svizca na poti. Zelo me pa motijo oglasi med videom.

Veš, da te poti pa še nisem šel... Amapk mora biti precej daljša. Mogoče smiselno, če štartaš na Uskovnici, ali pa v Srednji vasi.

Tik pod Studorjem je zdaj izvircek speljan v leseno korito ? Pred mesec dni sva s kolegico si napolnili cutare kar iz potocka ..
Ja ja, korito so naredili... Tudi jaz sem poprej vodo tankal kar iz potočka in tam kjer ni korit, to še vedno počnem. 😉
