I agree, I really love how organic this looks, before you even started to glaze it, it was reminding me of a marsh, or lily pad, or perhaps rice paddies, along those lines. So pretty! 😍
Lovely! So pleasingly curved and rounded. I love the way the cells are smooshed into each other, like they grew into that space together, each organically arising into their own unique shapes. I'm going to try a project like this myself. Thank you for the inspiration!
I made one of these (without the matching cup - really cool shape, that) after seeing pictures of one on the internet, and can confirm that they're 100% more pleasing to use than rectangular palettes and weighty enough not to flip over if accidentally bonked on any side, which is a great advantage. Thank you for letting us watch your process: you created a beautiful thing, as all good tools should be.
I ABSOLUTELY LOVE THESE PIECES! I have tried making paint pallets but I am obviously making them way too thin! Wow this is a great technique and I LOVE how organic they are!!❤❤ I love that you used the white engobe to create the white wells. May I ask what the little clear things are on the bottoms of the finished pieces? I’m assuming they are little stoppers to make sure the piece doesn’t scratch whatever they are on. They look nice.
@@micheledickey4066 Thank you so muuch 😊💚 Yes its just little rubber feet, it just makes them more comfy to handle - Im not sure how to explain it in english 😅 Like putting a hard ceramic thing on a hard surface - with the feet it is ”softer” :)
