If that hair had been a much smaller fuzzy, would you have redone the windshield.? How do you decide when a redo of a windshield is needed? Is there an acceptable amount of minor contamination?
Curious of this as well. Kinda like how the FDA allows a certain amount of bug fragments in food, is there a min/max amount of imperfections that's acceptable in the industry? I can hardly imagine any garage is able to be pristine/completely sterile enough to guarantee 100% imperfection free. Especially with all the different kinds of foreign contaminates that come in clients cars or even the workers' clothes. Example, I find my dogs hair EVERYWHERE (short prickly kind), even on the clothes I SPECIFICALLY keep away from him/places he frequents in the house. Yet I always find myself discovering them in the most random of places. I would imagine hair nets, hazmat/jump suits, and "garage only" boots and gloves would be required to even ATTEMPT to reach a level of pristine perfection.
You definitely can. Sometimes fixing a windshield just doesn’t work out. The farther in the problem is, the harder to keep clean and more risk. But if you know you need to replace it anyways, it’s worth a shot.
Have you ever had a stage where you get very small hairs in the film(like a quarter inch)? I never get large hairs its just small ones and its driving me insane to the point of not enjoying work anymore. I work in a shop where they buff as well so could it be from that? I know its allmost impossible to have any idea without video and pics but just anything from your own personal experience ?

A good tip is shave your arms especially if you frankenstein install.
Can you tape bottom felt seals when 2-staging (referring to the Mazda cx-50 btw)?
No it’s not worth putting any tape there. You should just remove them at that point
