In this video we discussed the SFM or solid flow monitor which is also known as BBD or Brocken Bag Detector.We also discussed the importance of solid flow monitoring test for FBD,FBE & FBP.The procedure of conducting challenge test for solid flow monitor or Brocken Bag detector is very simple & this test help to prevent product loss.The frequency of challenge test for FBD depends on in house SOP but it is recommended to conduct this test for FBD,FBP or FBE after each product change Over.

There is a gap between sensor and duct. What is the probability of not sensing any particles? What particle size is recommended for challenge test? What would be the velocity of the particles during challenge test??
