The 11th intro was animated by Flying Foto Factory, who also worked with Cinema Concepts and made intros for Warner Village Cinemas, and Carmike Cinemas.
That "From the Mountains to the Coast" line and the music from the 11th logo will be forever ingrained in my brain. The one i remember seemed to have a different woman's voice, but just to hear the background music again is incredible.
Awesome ident history of PBS North Carolina (formerly UNC-TV), Jonty! Even though UNC-TV rebranding to PBS North Carolina isn't the easiest to get used to, the idents from UNC-TV look really interesting. The design of the UNC-TV logo, which was used for 43 years before the rebrand, does remind me of the Screen Gems logo. My favourite ident from UNC-TV would be the 5th ident, because of the nice animation, which fits very well with the xylophone theme. And yes, you knew that my least favourite ident from UNC-TV would be the 3rd ident. I've seen the ident on almost every single top 10/20 cheesiest educational television idents, along with KWSU (1976) and Channel 8 Unalaska, and I have to agree that the ident isn't really good, because of the dull, ugly colour scheme and the font of the logo, which is hands down one of the ugliest fonts I've seen thus far. It makes Comic Sans look like one of the nicest-looking fonts ever. But anyway, great ident history.

3rd, 4th, 14th & 15th is my favorite PBS North Carolina logos!
The 1979, 1990, 1992, 1995, 1996, 2007 and 2021 ones.
I like one of the variants of the 9th logo, because it looks like a time vortex.
5th to latest. 3rd is literally a decent except the font is confusing. 4th is decent also but the sound is literally 8-bit carnival sounds.

Personally, I HATE the PBS rebrand rollout that they did. I prefer the UNC-TV hurricane Eye logo over the Crappy PBS NC logo we got now.
