"They say humans are social animals, they can't live alone, but you can live pretty well by yourself. I tell ya, instead of feeling alone in a group, it's better to have real solitude all by yourself."
"So it doesn't matter if I'm there or not, right?" "You were just afraid they'll abandon you, so you abandoned them. You distanced yourself from the whole thing."
This makes me feel like I'm sitting on a rooftop somewhere in New York, watching the sky turn purple and the late evening ppl coming out to the streets.
When I was 14 I first heard this song and sample, and now Im 17, starting to apply to colleges, and it's wild that 3 years have gone by so fast. I get how time goes so fast, but going so fast only makes it worse. I wish I could go back to those times when I had nothing to worry about. But on a side note, I just wanted to say that I finally found out where the sample comes from. Episode 15/16 (i think 16) Cowboy Bebop. i finally am watching the series lol, and it's already in my top 5 animes even though i have 8 episodes left.
This song is my favorite because, it reminds me of when I used to lay in my small room on a cool summer afternoon sketching and drawing, listening to this song. It was the best feeling of relaxation and comfort I’ve ever felt. I love it❤️
I know right? I saw a bunch of comments talking about how awesome and misunderstood introverts are, but I guess they didn't listen to the whole thing Don't get me wrong I'm more of an introvert myself but this song isn't really singing the praises of solitude, it's doing the opposite
@@HomekittyL2 well it's just facts being with someone makes u happy but sometime silitude can be peaceful and enjoyable just woildnt want be alone forever ya know
I think that it really depends on why you want solitude. The woman talking in the beginning is using solitude as a shield in case anyone tries to hurt her. However, there are some people that really do feel lonely in a group, and being able to almost own their own loneliness might be better for them. The song itself isn't praising solitude, which is something a lot of people in the comments seem to think. Personally, I think the big takeaway is that you need to know why you actually want the solitude. Is it out of fear or is it because it'll actually help you? I dunno, that's just what I think.

the sample is from Cowboy Bebop. It’s spike talking to faye about her past which if you’ve seen the anime she’s always trying to hide and is running away from. Love this anime and I could so see this beat/song in one of the episodes. Thank you Nymano ily❤️
Just watched the episode. And immediately thought I’ve heard this dialogue before. Then hit me, it was in a nymano song. Last I heard this song was 6 years ago.
You were just afraid they’d abandon you so you abandoned them is some deep ish. Fear of rejection by the ones whom you love the most breaks you immensely.
"When seeking the wisdom and clarity of your own mind, silence is a helpful tool. The voice of our spirit is gentle and cannot be heard when it has to compete with others.
