Afrikan Traveller, you're always so insightful with your videos, whether it's a tour, a conversation, etc. Thanks for taking us along on this tour of Eldoret Town!
Wooooow. Eldoret is still as beautiful as I knew it some years back. Thanks African traveler for the good work that you're doing. The tallest building in Eldoret was KVDA Plaza in the late 90s. I really feel attached to this lovely town and miss it.
i remember driving in this road when going to moi’s bridge to visit my nana whilst i was on holiday in kenya. i always love coming to visit kenya whenever i can.
I married here a bit more than a month ago. And I'm mzungu :) and I loved everything here...I recommend The Noble Hotel and Poa Place. Oh and drink Mursik because this is the home of the Champions, and home of Kalenjin people. Asante sana Kenya.
Second potential retirement place after Nanyuki/NaroMoru area, the weather and air are so conducive for me. The town has grown and I really enjoyed my stay over there last year after more than 20yrs. Thank you boss 👊🏾
I'm from the US an from the looks of all this traffic which is in every African country, Africa is not poor,I think the community is divided ppl look out for their own an stay to themselves

Waaaaaaaah! Eldoret CBD, is chaotic. No defined footpaths. Boda bodas as usual breaking all the traffic laws. Wakenya showing up from all directions 🤦🏾♂🤦🏾♂🤦🏾♂ The outskirts of the town are green and beautiful, less crowded...
The same scenario replicates itself countrywide, the countryside are the most beautiful while the towns are the ugliest. Just imagine how horrible Kenya will look when all the green spaces shall be replaced by the ugly iron sheets and concrete structures
Total chaos. Local government approve building without consideration for parking, safe ingress or egress. Why concentrate high traffic supermarkets in same vicinity? Noticed some virtually next door to each other.
I remember when the traffic 🚥 lights were introduced along Uganda road it resulted to total chaos and the whole town came to a standstill. After a few hours of chaos the traffic 🚥 lights were switched off.

@Joy Hodgins Luos have been in opposition but after traveling around Central Kenya towns & Rift valley towns I have Realized they are by far the Smartest because Kisumu blew my mind. One can think they have been in Government since independence. I wonder what they could do while fully in government for just 5 years because some of the infrastructure I see in Kisumu can only be found in Nairobi
@Joy Hodgins By professional Government and international Urban analysis Kisumu is Kenya's 3rd official city. Nakuru just qualified the other day as the 4th official City in Kenya. Eldoret didn't qualify for the charter, it's not planned at all, too small, zero urban infrastructure, it ranks 15th by GDP output country wide even Kisii beats it, Eld is not even among the top ten and has too Rural suburbs. That's the reality. Kisumu was granted a City Charter back in the year 2000. This means that by urbanisation Eldoret is where Kisumu was in 1990s. It hasn't reached it's peak yet. Still a highway Town with one way roads.
