  • Lynx Air is Canada’s newest ultra-low-cost carrier, and started operations back in April! Now, 4 months or so later, I figured it was time I gave them another try.
This particular flight turned out to be a bit different though...

Great vid, Alex. Rather rare to be able to fly on a 737-300 these days. I hope Lynx, and the other newer Canadian ULCC's, do well. Seeing plenty of negative commentary on social media. Despite that, we seriously need credible, reliable airline competition here in Canada. Like... seriously....

It's rough for new guys. Expected to be as good as the big ones,. But no experienced staff or well tested operation practices.

Not to mention that relatively-inexperienced travellers expect to pay nothing and get everything, which isn't realistic no matter how you add it up.

What a sight! That must have been strange when you turned up and saw a 737-300. Keep up the amazing content, it’s just so enjoyable to watch your videos, I must have watched them all at this point 😅. As someone who will be moving to Canada in the next few years it’s amazing to see Canadian aviation in detail before I see it for myself. Good job Alex and as I said, Keep up the amazing content.

I also was on that Lynx inaugural back in April, and I really love Lynx Air. As I don't live in Canada, I won't be able to fly them a lot unfortunately though. Really cool you got a 737-300 swap from Canadian North!

I've flown from Edmonton to Victoria and back at least 50 times over the last 25 years and never tire of seeing the Rockies or the Gulf Islands. Heading back there 21 Sept so hoping the weather is clear so we can see the views again.

This brings back memories as I used to fly on this exact plane weekly from CAL4/JHL to YYC. Since it’s the CFL plane I assumed the interior would be a little dressed up, but it’s just a plane with standard seats. I don’t really miss it as I now fly on a 737-700 with wifi and I find the -700 rides way better.

Welcome to the future of flight. I suspect 99% of the tickets sold on commercial air carriers soon enough will follow this model even amongst the biggies like Air Canada and Westjet who will continue to see a drop off in business travel as digital services and private charters eat into their market share amongst those more lucrative segments...

This is one of the worst airline ever.
I just them on a roundtrip and both flights were delayed and this is every scheduled flight the same. You book the flight and when it’s confirmed, you get an email of the delayed flight. First flight was delayed 2 hours without notification, the second one was delayed by 4 hours and then canceled and then pushed back 2 days.
If they safe on personal they safe on maintenance too, and a not well maintained
Aircraft might show up on the news one day.

Never ever use this Airline-they stole $300 off my family.
My daughters flight got delayed 3 days in a row during latest Christmas storms and eventually she had to come by car. We never gave up the return but the airline cancelled it and to reinstate it charged us another 300 dollars .Basically they use fine print contingency to rip people off and have absolutely no ethics! The sooner they are out of business the better-please people don't touch them they are a cheap con and will hit you somewhere whether financial or delays or lack of reporting-maybe all 3!!!!

The same problems for all new airlines, not enough money to stay the long term and never enough aircraft, any problems with crew or aircraft and bingo, they cancel your flight! They simply are not reliable as an alternative to the big guys. They need to take a page out of Breeze airways in the US.

  • @МарфаИгнатьева-ф7я

I had 2 flights of this airline. I regretted it twice. the delay was more than 3 hours, but they fix a delay of 2 hours 50 minutes by sending a message to the post office. at that time I was on the plane and told my spouse that I was very late. I arrived very late because of which I had to take a taxi and also pay for late check-in. the airline company refuses to compensate for the damage. there were also a lot of problems with the flight delay on the return flight. rudeness at the reception. they didn't want to register me and another woman with a child. just a terrible aviation company, I do not advise using it. the most negative emotions and a spoiled vacation
