    Great review! It's so nice to see more competition in the RTT game. It was only a year or so ago that you had to pay a huge premium to have one and now these manufacturers are upping their game and actually making excellent products. Lots of room in that one. I think the coolest design in the wedge tent that pivots at the low end to elevate it up higher for more foot room.

      I like those wedges a lot that you are talking about. Actually had a company in pre-production send me one that I have really enjoyed testing.

      @@OutdoorAuto that's cool you can test out those products. If you need to see how well they do on an 80 series Land Cruiser let me know. 😁

    Excellent review, Nate! It is incredible how quickly the RTT competition field has expanded. It doesn't feel like too many years ago, over here in Oregon, everyone in the Overland group only had iKamper or CVT RTTs. Now, there are so many to choose from!

      Competition is definitely bringing prices down finally, which is nice to see.

    Pecron power station review/comparison would be cool. It's something I've been interested in. Portable, less hassle of wiring up your own battery into your charging system... I'd definitely watch a review on those.

      I have actually tested the Pecron... I'll work on getting a Power Station Comparison up soon.

    This is essentially the Freespirit Recreation Odyssey tent without the tri-layer fabric.

      the FSR is cheaper now than this one, plus better materials on fsr

    • @OutdoorAuto
      @OutdoorAuto  10 месяцев назад +1

      I assume FSR and these guys have to be connected in someway , even if it just using the same exact factory to build their tents… the latches and hardware are too similar.

      FSR and this look like the drifta tents in AU. (I have an FSR and love it)

    Great review and presentation style.
    I’d be interested in more on power stations too. I’m curious as to why automakers inverters seem incompatible with them. I’m specifically referring to a 5th gen 4Runner cannot charge an Eco Flow from the inverter.
    Is there any power station that can be charged off a new truck inverter?
    Thanks again, and I’ve subscribed. Cheers!

      I am going to go ahead and make the powerstation video... as far as the inverter. The Tacoma and 4Runner inverters I believe don't support the level of continuous draw that a larger battery pack requires... I would have to double check it and it probably depends on how large of a power station and the specs on the power supply.

    Nice review. Looks like FSR Odyssey55" but $500 less on sale rt now. Only difference I can tell is this one is 12lbs lighter, mattress is an inch thicker and has 2ply fabric vs FSR 3 ply polyfill fabric.
    Have you had the chance to compare the two? Thanks

    Great review, I love this design, the interior looks very spacious, the quality looks great too! I've experienced wedge tent that feel a bit cramped when lying down🫠. I've seen your other videos before about condensation on exposed metal parts on the inside, will this tent have that problem as well🤔

    • @OutdoorAuto
      @OutdoorAuto  10 месяцев назад

      with how the tent is suspended from the shell... there is no metal in the tent at all... so I don't think so.

    Nate, I don't know if you can even answer this based on what companies ask of you when you create review videos like this one...but if I asked which tent you might prefer, would you say the Top Oak Galaxy 1.0 that you reviewed alongside the much more expensive same style Roofnest a month or so ago...or this Crafuel? It seems they have similar "living space," and a similar footprint, one just has it running front to back with even greater head room (TopOak) and 3 entry options AND a cool sky view window...and one running more long ways left to right with less head room and only one entry point. I was leaning strongly to the TopOak based on your comparison video, but you seem to like this one too. I will be a FIRST TIME rooftop tent buyer and not a serious overlander. I am a camper and a cyclist and a hiker and kayaker who doesn't want to sleep on the ground, nor do I want to invest in an expensive RV that has to be stored, titled, towed, and insured. I would also by very much interested in a longer comparison review video of power stations, as I don't even have one yet.

    Looks like a great product. RTT seem to be really coming down in price overall. I am going to try a Free Sprit EVO2 for my first RTT, With 30% off it comes in just a couple of hundred dollars more than this one. I think with a good power station it really opens up off grid camping to new tech.

    • @OutdoorAuto
      @OutdoorAuto  10 месяцев назад

      The Freespirit brand and Crafuel seem related somehow.. they have the same shoe bags and the same latches… so I would bet the finishes are super similar. EVO2 is a solid tent.

      @@OutdoorAuto I had never heard of Crafuel until I saw this video and I thought I had researched them all. My new tent should be a upgrade over the Kodiak truck tent I was using.
