- American singer-songwriter, Jim Croce died nearly 40 years ago in a plane crash in Louisiana. The billboard chart-topping guitar player would record five albums before his death and leave behind one child, A.J. Croce
AJ is a genuine, sweet, talented guy. Love him. Loved his dad, too.
Who disliked this?! This kid is royalty. Long live the Croces
Who the hell would dislike this?
This man is so genuine, and has such a lovely soul. Respect!
Just seems like a lovely, genuine guy.
Your dad would be so proud of the fine man that you have become.
He seems like a good soul. His Dad would be proud.
Wonderful and so tranquil man, I loved him! Also "congratulations" to the journalist, who remained silent and let her guest speak without interapting him all the time, as it is used lately!
You can hear the genuine soft character in his voice. AJs dad gave him so much love when home as evidenced in the footage I’ve seen. Looking forward to hearing his music.
What a gift to have those tapes. I was 13, and my heart was truly broken for his family when he died. I couldn't listen to "Time in a Bottle" because it was almost prophetic. It was ironic
I really love the way this interview flowed. No continuous interrupting AJ Croce
AJ is an amazing artist in his own right. I saw him last year at a concert in Long Beach, California and was knocked out. His piano playing is off the chain. His guitar playing is fantastic and his singing is so powerful that I ended up buying 2 of his CDs on the spot!
He's not his dad. He's AJ and I narvelled at his artistry.
His Dab is smiling on him . Just like his dad , never a bad word about anyone . God Bless this young man .
AJ while as talented as his father, he is definitely his own man. As with Jim Croce, love his music and his attitude. He shines his own light!
What an amazing young man. Interviewer needs to stop interjecting and let AJ finish his comments. She could wait and ask questions when AJ takes a pause. So happy to hear his vision has improved.
GOD'S BLESSINGS TO HE AND HIS FAMILY.
Everything would have been different if he wasn't abused by his mother's boyfriend as a child.
What a great lookin' kid. Thoroughly enjoyed this interview! We all eventually learn to love our parents even more as we get older....after we walk a few steps in their shoes.
God bless you young man. Your dad was awesome, I've been a huge fan of his my whole life.
In denims like his dad.
I am sure your dad is looking down and he has a big smile AJ. you were so young when he left us. I know the family still misses him,
like Richie.
His dad is a badass guitarist. Jim Croce had laid the blueprint on the folk rock genre. His riffs were awesome.Hands down 😎
that was maury who played lead.
@@zigwald Maury Povich? 🤣
@@keitha.9922 muehleisen..........
What a sweet, gentle soul he is. Love his dad so much.
Authentic talent; no ego.
One of the most inspiring musicians ever. His music at the time got me through college years and beyond. TY to his son and wife for being very open.
Would love to hear these tapes of his Dad just having conversation and Music
I love this interview. Love AJ and his Dad,, Grew up with his Dads music.. This is so interesting. God Bless him and Jim Croce!
so well spoken such class lovely man
Such a gentle soul just like Dad.God Bless you young man your Dad would be so proud of you in fact I'm sure he watches over you.❤❤
Rock on A.J., your father would be so proud of you.
Sadly, I found my musical ability through Jim Croce`s music, but not until his death did I have any idea of the Man. AJ Croce, I owe your father a great debt that I can never repay. I only just recently learned of your existence , and I find your music fantastic. While I don`t have the guitar playing ability, ( I just have a few chords) I have been blessed with a fair voice. You, Sir.. you are your own man, and it`s easy to see your parents in you. Be blessed always.
Glad to find this! I've wondered about him and if he had embraced his natural talents... His voice is not as deep as his dad's, but he talks similarly with the same cadence...
I admire you A.J. Croce. I see that your family is overflowing w/talent. I would pay to hear you sing in a heart beat....Your Dad, he is one of my favorite singer/song writer. Keep on keeping on...
A.J is an amazing artist. I have been following his career for several years now. Grew up with his fathers music which I think is as fresh today as it was in the 70's. Hi Google+ friends, this is a much watch interview.
He is amazing. Realy down to earth.
I loved his dad's music. Such a fantastic entertainer. AJ is as well. Does AJ have any cds available? Thank you for posting this interview.
the legacy lives on...
His face wants to grow that mustache.
😂😂😂
Lmao
LOL would be great
pure gold 😂
This is the best comment ever!
What a sweet soul.
I saw AJ in Concert. Loved it! He did his stuff and his dad's stuff! Talented you are for sure!
What a wonderful guy!
Really enjoyed this interview. I saw AJ play in Halifax, NS...he's a great song writer and performer in his own right. I have his Cage of Muses album and love it!
I think Jim would have recorded an even more diverse selection of musical genres if he was with us longer.
🥀Amazing Interview with A.J. he's amazing & I'm sure if he puts his all into it will happen. Thank's for posting this video it's priceless and unbelievable🥀✌🥀
A.J we are related, your father was my grandfather's cousin!
Can tell from your surname haha! that is amazing, best wishes
One the best shows I have ever seen. They guy is very, very talented and he has a ton of energy. If you get a chance go see him. Just go...
What a lovely, real man.
very cool guy who is comfortable in his own skin and seems to have come to grips with the huge legacy that his father left him.
Unlimited creativity, follow your heart and let the song tell the story! AJ.. Your Dad was amazing as I played his music on guitar in the 70's.
Just looked him up on the web. Had no idea what had happened to him. Very talented guy and very personable.
Hi AJ, I love all your Dad's and I like wish you all the best. From Singapore
I've heard some of AJ's music he definitely has his own style.
Crazy that his mother did not protect him from her abusive boyfriend. Maybe it helped make him who he is, but why? Breaks my heart that his daddy wasn't there to protect him.
Aj ,were so fortunate to enjoy your music, and carry your mom and dad's Legacy, amazing!
Time in a bottle was the first song I learned on the guitar back in the mid to late 70's RIP Jim and carry on the legacy AJ ♥
What a nice soft spoken gentleman. I hope his career has been awesome.
I really love his music... That's me in the bar.... When I come back to Nashville.. That is what I tell my friends.. Love it.
I love Jim croce music always
Its got to be tough, being in music and following a famous father. Several others come to mind.
Love this! Thank you for sharing.
He's a nice young man his father would be proud
He's exectly like his dad. Same mannerisms, voice.
Very cool how he recorded the same songs his dad did and didn't even know it.
Wow you were thay little kid in the Time in a bottle vid ....sweet ! Heres to you and your dad!
Fantastic guy...and very talented..
love his story about his Dad's 1933 Gibson.....wow!!
Damn, it's spooky how much he looks like his daddy. Especially if he'd grow a mustache.
I don’t see it. Hair and skin colour maybe. Doesn’t have his expressions, eyes, or nose. Gentle voice for sure.
AJ definitely does NOT have his father's nose. I think he's actually better looking than his dad.
....... This is the first I've seen of this guys son ...I've been to the place down in San Diego the bar... With the big picture on the wall of Jim Croce...... Yeah it was kind of weird but it was nice I guess I met this guy Jim Croce in my front yard in Babylon New York one time he was looking for a friend of mine's house Nancy dorio her sister was connected to the music industry and something about Channel 12 I think on Long Island and it was always music people in and out of the apartment and he didn't know how to get there and he asked me I was in the front yard doing something on the yard where Nancy lived if I knew her and I told him yeah and I told him where she lived and we got talking for a little while ...he was a nice guy... Of the few celebrities I've met I think he was one of the nicest ones... He was a guy that could be missed if he wasn't around...... He was good people.......
Great interview
Aj you are truly a unique young man.
She did a great job as an interviewer
I love the music songs of jimcroce super amazing thank you jim for the wonderful song you give
What a great interview! Ann asked some great questions and AJ provided really interesting insights. Very engaging.
Sounds like he is more like his dad then he once thought.. And AJ has his own music career and own music identity
Mr A.J is a talented songwriter singer an a beautiful piano player
The love you can feel in his beautiful voice was gifted to him from his beautiful loving father the great Jim Croce.
Mr A.J you are a beautiful man with a beautiful heart thank you for who you are and thank you mr Jim Croce for bringing such a beautiful talented child to the world .
Aj split image of your dad to me that's timeless as well as your music Jim 🕯️🕊️
God bless AJ, sure love listening to his Dad's music and seeing him sing.
Really great interview.
AJ is wonderful, and he's right, the blind blues and jazz guys are in a class by themselves!
Such a talented lovely guy.
What a lovely man. X
Back in 1970s right before Jim Croce died. I heard a interview on radio where he opened up and he was very emotional he even cried toward the end of the interview I think the interview was lost or destroyed
He said his father and his brothers were very violent and if he got in a fight and lost they would take him out into the shed and beat him up because he lost and he was fighting not to put that kind of violence on to his family. That would kind of explain the song operator and what happened behind the writing of the song. Just a thought.
Wow, just read the reason that AJ lost his sight was because of the abuse of his mother Ingrid’s boyfriend! Notice AJ does not mention it nor ask for pity. Such a gentleman, valiant and dignified.
There’s something in my eyes..and my heart and mind..You know.. it happens everything…Blessings….☮️☮️☮️😘😘😘👍👍👍
I meant to say every time!
I loved his dad's songs Awwww
Also you talk like your dad also in thought! Of music! It’s the greatest gift !
His voice reminds me of his dad
This interview reminds me of one interviewer's interviews of Leonard Cohen. I see a similar track of your career & LCs. Brilliant conversation AJ.
Por Dios! Es idéntico al padre!! ..y qué dulce y sensible..
well said A.J. , all the best
What a pleasant young man.
AMEN, AJ -RE: style of music, it doesn't have to be one or the other ....it is ALL of it!!
Jim was a great dude.
Admire you A J
Awesome interview
❤ Jim Croce. Thanks for keeping your dads spirit alive...
Definately a circa costello voice AJ has , which isnt bad.
love to hear conversations w Sal...
What a great guy.
Thank you will stop by next time in SD
Jim Croce was a genius. So is AJ. I wonder if he could do some electronic duets with his dad!
AJ looks so much like his father... identical kinda spooky
He favors his mother a LOT...check it out. He looks somewhat like his dad.
He doesn't look that much like his father at all. He doesn't have his father's nose, thank god. I agree with @Valerie Griner, he looks more like his mother.
He does have his mum’s nose, but he certainly has his dad’s hair, face shape, head shape, mouth, and even his speaking voice, really. The eyes are a nice combo. But, seriously, if he grew that hair out into some shaggy 70s curly mess, and a big old mustache, it would be uncanny!
I was at a Jim Croce concert at Wheaton IL in the late 70's. He was an original voice, and and darn good soundwriter. Missed.
Late 70s? You must mean late 60s.
Lovely voice.
I am going to see AJ Croce Sat night. I am going to love the concert and him.
Jim should be in Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. A.J. looks just like Jim.
AJ croce was gifted like his father they loved music.
Very interesting and heartwarming. Thanks.
Fabulous
