I like the way balls way ball himself yeah he is a good comical singer always remember lots and lots of his songs good songs sad songs bad songs funny yes can be songs he even sang gospel
The entire human clan known as humanity will miss Ray Stevens when he is called to preform foR GOD and The ANGLES A LONG, LONG LONG TIME FROM NOW ,(OF COURSE) I love his songs all of them ! 👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍♥️👵🏻🐶😺🖖👽👍
I love the visual image of ...."and then he waded through them tables and chairs".... I can just picture this behemoth pushing a path across the bar scattering debris as he went.
First heard this on a tape I picked up on the wat to a conference. My Daddy loved wrestling and went when he could here in Houston. I laughed when I first heard it and still think of my daddy every time I hear it
This is the first time I've ever heard the full two part version; never even knew it existed until now. I've only ever heard the "single" version which I first heard when I was in 6th grade ('86 - '87), and I listened to it so much I had it completely memorized. The editing they did to get to the "single" from this two part version is interesting. Even more interesting is that they did the editing at all, rather than just having Stevens sing it again (something he's certainly no stranger to).
"Well then they rang the bell and all hell broke loose! My legs were shaking like a rubber goose. I'd never seen anything like this....not even IN THE WAR!"
"Hey Cyclone, you remember me?! I'm the guy you put to sleep, only this time you can see I'm not alone! ha ha You see them two big dudes over there?!" The Cyclone looks and said "over where?" I turned around and I'm a son of gun they was gone! Well the Cyclone looked at me and grinned he said "ok punk here we go again, seems to me that some guys never learn." That is the best part I think :D
Back in the day my dad wrestled as the blue cyclone. For Mid-South wrestling along with the mcmahons and all of them before they got big. Back whenever Mid-South wrestling and cowboy Bob Kelly and all them guys. I asked him about this case has I don't remember it happening but that don't mean nothing
now this is stuff is funny Ray can make a song out of anything that is funny no this is what the whole family could listen too keep up the great uploads thank you
Just wanted to let you know Ray Stevens has a 3 CD box set that has both these songs plus all the classics. Like The Streak, The Shriner's Convention, Everything is Beautiful, It's Me Again Margaret and a lot more. I believe it's like $30.00 or they have used ones for less. I just bought a used 1,it was in pretty good condition for $12.00 on Amazon( June 30th, 2022.....I love Ray Steven's songs, as someone else has said he is a musical genius....
This the "original", I had this album and this song was in two parts. I did not know that there was a "single version" until I got the cd set called " Get the best of Ray Stevens". And I remember being surprised to here a cut down version with some of the lines cut out or changed..
Back in the 80s when i was in the Navy . my friend and I got assigned to clean some heads in the area of our Bearthing. We had to clean the Starboard head.. spotless, (Actually it was the best job for us ... we were Nukes in the Navy). This album Rocked!, How Fun!
I was a CT and I've had my share of head cleanings, floor polishing, and even a commode in 04 head, which later resulted in a Hep-C vaccination. Ah good times, doing everything but your rate.
Thank you for posting your songs ray Stevens always been a big fan. Was raised on your songs need funny songs to see us through these dark times. Love you so much. Like the steak "hey Ethel put some clothes on."
Yes it does my nephew was just a tot when this came out had to get him a wrestling costume. it was either that or a costume for the Sailor Song lol Thank you for posting these! Merry Christmas And Safe Happy New Year
Thank you so much, my Grandfather loved this song, and the "new" version is like having a part of my childhood that was happy being replaced by memories of a priest molesting me.
one of the great advantages to the digital format of music...has been the removal of any need to chop a song in half ..like was done on the LP and tape version of this song and I believe "Freebird" as well...hey guys let's compose a song and then cleft it in twain...
This is from 1985. When was the later "studio" recording complete with sound effects and the Blue Cyclone Talking in a deep gravel voice? raystevenbigfan I'm sure you know the version I'm talking about.
@Darthsikk Thank you for commenting, but the line that you are quoting is from the “single version” of this song, were they cut out a few lines and changed a few, then combined Parts 1 and 2 together. This song comes right off the “I Have Returned” album, and is “the original” were it was in two parts.
Interesting story about the photograph this video is based upon, Macarthur was such a peacock that he had his return landing shoot over & over again like he was directing a scene from a movie, lol.
@Darthsikk It's cool, I know it can be confusing with all the diffrent versions that Ray has done of his songs over the years. Freddie Feel Good is one that comes to mind. I will post the "single version" soon.
@raystevensbigfan Oh? Them I'm honestly sorry for the incorrect commentary. Any chance you have the "single version"? Hearing it the way I grew up with it would almost be like sitting in the car with my grandfather again.
Actually, this isn't the "original original" either, the original line for the brothers is "they'd take on a grizzly with a switch in the woods at night". There are some other changed parts, but it's still better than the "new new" version. Thanks again.
Ray, You put EVERYTHING in needed perspective THEN WITH Mr. Businessman and we believe you knew that but the fact is nothing has changed•••it applies now more than ever. Subsequently, some of us yearn to hear from you now, 2022-but specifically regarding YOUR words and/or song regarding the insanity we're ALL facing thanks largely to Putin and the wholesale slaughter of The Ukraine. What, Where, How NEXT☆
Ray Stevens is so funny!!😂😂😂 his band and back-up singers are a real treat, too! It is very nice to be able to listen to these comedy songs👍👍👍👍
The most hillarious song ever!!!!!...Ray Stevens is a genius.
I sure wish they would re-release his classic albums like this one!
What a great song by one of the greatest singers of my generation
4:57 - Bill: "RIGHT ON MAN I DO THE SAME DERN THING IF IT BEEN ME"!! xD that is the kind of friend YOU DON'T NEED
My brother in law johnny Ray loved this song
May johnny rest in peace 🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏
Possibly one of if not the greatest Ballads of all time. Ol Curtis Lowe is up there and John Henry.
God Bless Ray Stevens for all his laughter and sometimes mayhem...And who could forget "Everything is beautiful" in its own way.....
+
Killing me with your song
I like the way balls way ball himself yeah he is a good comical singer always remember lots and lots of his songs good songs sad songs bad songs funny yes can be songs he even sang gospel

I started in the Wrestling business in 1989, I had a Blue Cyclone gimmick made
I used to have this album when I was a kid. Ah...memories.
First heard this on a tape I picked up on the wat to a conference. My Daddy loved wrestling and went when he could here in Houston. I laughed when I first heard it and still think of my daddy every time I hear it
My dad made me listen to the entirety of this song...........best thing he ever introduced me to lol RIP Michael Long June 3rd 2020
There was this little old lady right next to me, she was the day she was 83, but she raised more sand then any man i've ever seen LOL
"The Cyclone put The Vulture in an airplane spin, then he body slammed him.. THEN HE DID IT AGAIN!!" Always cracks me up.
FUNNY
I swear, I didn't see how that old boy could _take much more!_
"If you don't leave the Cyclone alone, one of these days you won't be going home!" LMAO!! Classic.
Thank you for posting this. It was always my favorite of Ray Stevens' songs and it's been many years since I heard the original recording.
i love this song, its such a classic

Love this song!
"Well then they rang the bell and all hell broke loose! My legs were shaking like a rubber goose. I'd never seen anything like this....not even IN THE WAR!"
"Hey Cyclone, you remember me?! I'm the guy you put to sleep, only this time you can see I'm not alone! ha ha You see them two big dudes over there?!"

The narrator definately needs better friends lol
is it?
Back in the day my dad wrestled as the blue cyclone. For Mid-South wrestling along with the mcmahons and all of them before they got big. Back whenever Mid-South wrestling and cowboy Bob Kelly and all them guys. I asked him about this case has I don't remember it happening but that don't mean nothing
Agreed. I had this on cassette(!) back in the day, and always rewound it at the point...
@@cryptozoomauler5505 I couldn't agree with you more - but if he didn't have a friend like Bill, we wouldn't have a song.
7:21 and so, The Undertaken's career began
💙 I LOVE THIS SONG IT TAKE BACK TO THE TIME WHERE ME & MY DADDY WENT WWE IN HOUSTON MY FRIST YEAR IN HIGH SCHOOL 💛

"THE SPIDER'S GOT A CHAIN!"
''...hey punk ya forgot your chair'' had me rolling as a kid.
one of the great advantages to the digital format of music...has been the removal of any need to chop a song in half ..like was done on the LP and tape version of this song and I believe "Freebird" as well...hey guys let's compose a song and then cleft it in twain...
those also equally sucked...I recall many skipping to the next song for no reason...

The verson that you are talking about is from the album called; 'Box Set". It came out in 2005.

@Darthsikk High 5s to you remembering that.. gonna dig that album out now
You know, if he’d employee the Undertaker’s services in the first place he wouldn’t have had all that trouble.
Best line " they'd wade through hell to fight a circle saw! "
I heard fightin a bear with a switch at night. I wanna hear that version
that was the radio version...this is from the vinyl...as can be heard from the two part edit due to LP length..
This is from 1985. When was the later "studio" recording complete with sound effects and the Blue Cyclone Talking in a deep gravel voice? raystevenbigfan I'm sure you know the version I'm talking about.
Watch out for those best friends, they are troubled makers
@Darthsikk Thank you for commenting, but the line that you are quoting is from the “single version” of this song, were they cut out a few lines and changed a few, then combined Parts 1 and 2 together. @pappawheelie09 It is my pleasure, I am a big fan of Ray's. I am happy to share this great music with other fans....
@raystevensbigfan Heck.. who cares just want to say thanks for posting the song
The only wrestler better than the Blue Cyclone was Nature Boy Ric Flair! Great song!!
I agree
"Hawse, we'll back you as long as you wanna fight!" 5:38 XD
Ray forgot to say; hold my beer and watch this. I like this one.
Was there ever a video to go with this song? Don't recall there ever being one. Great song & downright HILARIOUS!!!!!
One of Rat's funniest songs, I wish he'd have made a video of this
@qweens8411 Thanks for commenting. This was my Dad's fav too. It is classic Ray...
Ray "The Crippler" Stevens
Interesting story about the photograph this video is based upon, Macarthur was such a peacock that he had his return landing shoot over & over again like he was directing a scene from a movie, lol.
this is hilarious, love it!!
@Darthsikk It's cool, I know it can be confusing with all the diffrent versions that Ray has done of his songs over the years. Freddie Feel Good is one that comes to mind. I will post the "single version" soon.
This is the only version of this I'm aware of.
I actually spliced the two songs together into one. Loved it that way.
This was probably my favorite Ray Stevens album.
seconded
This post looks different compared to all the others.
thr haircut song
07:22 Doctor: "you'll need The Undertaker's services, not mine"
Jerry the King Lawler!
The sonh that you are talking about is called; "The Haircut Song". I have posted the song, you can find it on my channel..
Thank for posting...
Spider and Cyclone must be the "bad guys" since they're the ones who started with the "foreign object" (the chain)!
"You’ll need the undertaker's services, not mine."
We never learn who The Vulture's tag team partner is.
@raystevensbigfan Oh? Them I'm honestly sorry for the incorrect commentary. Any chance you have the "single version"? Hearing it the way I grew up with it would almost be like sitting in the car with my grandfather again.

too funny

We NEED to hear from Ray on the Putin insanity/Ukraine massacres
Yo Ray, Please put this Putin disaster in SOME kind of perspective!!
