My SAM7F came with a aluminum quad rail and a cheap polymer wanna be Bakelite grip. Didn’t know milled receivers required special grips, hope the grip I ordered will fit
Bought a Bulgarian Arsenal SAM7FS-84D rifle last year. Great rifle and love that it is milled and not stamped. This is just my own opinion and no one else, I think the rifle shoots much better in milled form. Now the trade off of this milled rifle is the weight! For the rifle with a 30 round steel magazine fully loaded, can weigh over 10 pounds! One other thing I like is that they made the selector switch ambidextrous. this is great if you are left handed. I did two modifications to my SAM7FS rifle. One was wrap 5-50 cord around the folding stock. The reason for this is that in the winter the folding stock can be very cold. Two I took a dermal tool and grind a notch on the Selector Switch so I can lock the bolt back. Many gun ranges I go too requires the bolt to be locked in when cease fire or a break is called and the Range Control people can check to see if the chamber is empty. One more thing I forgot to mention folks, the rifle is not cheap! The price for a SAM-7FS rifle was $1,425.00 dollars!
Another option for easy bolt hold back for ranges like yours, just buy some Yugo style mags w/ the BHO follower. A couple US companies make poly mags with the feature too.
They had one at my LGS the other day for $1899. Gonna see if they still got it and pick it up. These videos are really great, I guess if I was to only have one, the SAM7sf is it.

The SA93 does me well. Basically, the SLR95 was the immediate forerunner of the SLR101, and the SLR101 was remained the SAM7R in 2013. So all very closely related.
Mishaco, Arsenal Grips, are they interchangeable with other grips? Reason I ask because of that safety lever on scope mount side of rifle..is that a special cut out on the Grip, Thank You Kindly. This is reference to Arsenals Sam 7 SF I believe with the Folding stock

THANKS AGAIN MISHACO. Doc David
I really like the 'eggbeater' flash hider that's on mine in the video. I have the 4 piece on the SAM7K though. I like it for 8" or 12" guns. Also ST VOY is underrated IMO.
Mishaco I pulled a rookie move with my sam 7sf. I pulled the bolt back with safety lever engaged. It jumped over the top cover and stood straight up. Anyone else run into this with these rifles?
While you hear about this happening with the SAM7SF from time to time, it is actually possible to do with many AK variants (especially milleds with those smooth topcovers). And ype, no worries, nothing's broken or wrong...you might have just added a scratch at most but hey, its an AK...scratches are meant to happen.
I really want an Arsenal but I just can’t wrap my head around laying $1100+ for one of these. This floats until I sum up all the lesser guns I bought instead and it amounts to much more. Ugh...
Hi Misha. Love your expertise on all your videos. I purchased the Sam 7 SF about five years ago. Also, bought the "Regulate" rail to put on the mount. Problem is the rear sling attachment interferes with the removal and attachment of the rail without using a rubber mallet. Any suggestions ? Thank you, Kim
@симона пайка Absolutely.. Vepr was probably one of the best imported AK variants. I wouldn't hesitate to buy another if they were imported again. Sadly, seems Molot will be forever under US sanctions.
I recently picked up my first arsenal a 106UF and was wondering can I replace the rear trunnion with a standard rifle rear trunnion, to make it easier to find a right hand folding adapter for a pistol brace

Nope, not true at all. What Arsenal said was they used "Steyr Technology' to make their barrels. They never said Steyr in Austria made them for them. Bulgaria bought some tooling and equipment from Steyr when it was modernizing.
Misha, what bayonet would fit a sam7sf? I have a Romy AKM one and it won't slide over the lug despite it being able to fit over the end of the 74 style flash hider. Do I need a certain type or am I just not using enough strength to pop it on?
Type 1 AKM bayos will not fit on 74s. Since yours has a muzzle break like the 74s, you will need a type 2 bayo. Nearly all romy bayos are type 1, they did make some for their 74s but are extremely rare and very expensive... i would just get a new black bulgarian circle 10 bayo to go with it but make sure you dont get the one for AK47s which attach to the gas block.
The problem isnt funding them right now, its finding them?? Someone point me to it. I have a vepr fm and i would buy another without question but i really do want a sam7 as well, and the sam7 is easier to find. Two of the very best in my opinion
40$ for an ak magazine no say it ain't so I use to get the e. German mags for 5 $ glad I bought a lot of ak mags after comrad Clinton fucked us with his ban
Question : How come you have specific names in the US for Arsenals ? Here in France, I have the M1F, in semi, which is exactly the M1F displayed on the Arsenal website, except in semi. How come yours is called Sam7UF, while it's exactly the same except : no Arsenal flash hider like on mine + mine has 3 positions except the full is of course not working; Appart from that, my M1F and your Sam7UF are just the same. Why all the variations in names for your Arsenal AK sold in the US ???? + arsenal-bg.com has nothing called Sam7 something...
A couple reasons....for one, our gov't doesn't like semi-autos to ahve the same names as full-autos (though there are exceptions of course). Second, the American buyer likes options/choices, so that leads to various names to denote different furniture or accessories shipped with.
Hey Mish, I really enjoy your RUclips presentations. I recently purchased a SAM7R and after the circle 10 it is KP 58 0159. What does this mean? Does it tell the manufacturing date? Please help me! Anybody!!
I have a sam7sf and it says to leave the cleaning rod out of the rifle. Is there any risk of real damage if leaving it installed? It looks cooler with it in haha.
Scurvy McGruff I believe the guide is referring to the full length cleaning rod, as you know the Sam7sf cleaning rod comes in two pieces, if you insert the fully assembled rod into the hand guard holes you will end up hitting the spring for the latch on the side. But inserting the back end of the cleaning rod into the hand guard shouldn’t be an issue. What I did was take the end section of the rod and placed it in the little groove in the folding stock, added a little black electrical tape to keep it in place, and now it’s there if I ever need it
Damn, that is a great idea! I was wondering how I was going to keep the two pieces close at hand. I was thinking I'd figure it out once the rifle came in, but you hit the nail on the head!
Great video as always! I always learn something when I watch them. I own a SAM-7R, my first and only AK. Is the enhanced trigger from FIME(KVAR) worth installing? Thanks.
Misha I heard the current SAM offering are shipped with the single hook Arsenal USA Trigger but KVAR is selling the 3 Milled double hook trigger parts. Is it their way of saving/making money when people go and purchase these parts, after the rifle purchase?
ozarkbeararms@gmail.com , yep been a dealer for over 10 years now. We used to post a link in every video, but youtube's policies forced us to remove it or get shutdown. So we complied.
We really like these milled imports....as if you couldn't tell by the video lol. Also have the SA-93, which we posted a video on a couple weeks ago....and the SLR100, which i bring out way too often as i love mine (hint, its coming up again in a future video too hehe).
Thanks but not exactly a review...more of an FAQ reguarding which one someone should buy. People often ask me what's the difference between these or which one is best for them? While I can't tell that, i can at least show how they are different (and also similar).
Barrels made by Steyr? no that's not true. Barrels manufactured in Bulgaria using Steyr technology? yes that was true for the SLR95 and is still true today for the SAM7R. As to why, the SLR95 was a ban era rifle, so no bayo lug, no threaded muzzle, and also no lower stock tang. Yes, these things can be added but why go through all that bother? The SAM7R can be had with all those features and 100% NIB. Push comes to shove, I'll take a new gun over a used one any day of the week, if that is the money's similar.
Misha Another question for you. What is the difference between all the imported CHF CL Barrels on the USA market? Are the Steyr Technology barrels better than the Polish Radom barrels? What about the Romanian barrels? I always read BFLV has never shot out a Romanian barrel but then I read the Polish and Bulgarian barrels are better. What’s a guy to believe?! What do you believe is the best standard barrel on the market?
But its not much like a Type III. It has the lighter profile barrel, 90 degree gas block, really everything is wrong for a decent T3 clone. Better to look for a SA93, SLR96, or SA M-7 Classic.
I got one of the last SAM7SF's that could be found online, about 6 or so months ago. Now they are NO where to be found for a decent price, and the underdolders and fixed stock variants are also disappearing... I assume they will be back, but with the gun industry, you just never know. Anyways, great AK for sure, alongside my Vepr ! :)

Misha, I'm looking to replace the stock grip on my SAM7r. I dont want to modify any grip. Does Hogue, Magpul or any other company fit my needs?
Tango down makes my fave
Will you be doing a video on the Sam5
I wish the sam7 sidefolder was made like the rest of the sidefolder instead of having that big piece of the back
such a very lucky man! I do not envy as much as I admire
I have the SAR M9F, the pure Bulgarian version of the same, Sam 7 but not messed with due the US regs. Best AK ever.
Just keep doing your great work!!!
If you could only buy one, slr 107 or sam7sf, which would you buy?
SAM7SF easily, hands down.
Anybody!!
58 = 2018. The 'KP' has nothing to do with the date though.
Great video! I really appreciate your videos and all your AK knowledge. Thank you, Misha. Milled Arsenals are the tits! 👌🏻
Love your reviews man, can you tell me the difference between the Sam 7SF and the Sam 7R-61
SF is side folder, 7R-61 is fixed stock with side rail.
I have a sam7sf and it says to leave the cleaning rod out of the rifle. Is there any risk of real damage if leaving it installed? It looks cooler with it in haha.
Of course not. Mine has been in since 2013.
SAM7R-66 owner here. Never removed my cleaning rod. No issues here..
What I did was take the end section of the rod and placed it in the little groove in the folding stock, added a little black electrical tape to keep it in place, and now it’s there if I ever need it
@@staplehead3 Ok that makes more sense. Thank you.
Damn, that is a great idea! I was wondering how I was going to keep the two pieces close at hand. I was thinking I'd figure it out once the rifle came in, but you hit the nail on the head!
CHEERS FROM BULGARIA! 🍻
I love mine!
I wish i could convince you to sell me that sf ive been trying to find one all dang year.
What bayonet is that
Can you fill me in on the safety lever issue fail I have been hearing on the SAM7R's?
www.reddit.com/r/ak47/comments/8e83pb/sam7_rifles_safety_issues/
Here you go man.
Would it be totally stupid to buy a sam7k pistol for 1800 plus tax [seattle] area =exspensive
You’re amazing dude.
I can't seen to find any videos or reviews on my SAM7R 66. Is it a bastard gun or something?
Nope, just a SAM7R. The -66 is just a part number which tells you the furniture & muzzle device it left Arsenal Inc. with.
What’s your gun broker name? Would love to buy a rifle
Ummm 'Mishaco' so
Only made it 4 minutes in, super nice guns bro, floss much?
Right on! Great channel bud, sub'd
Thank you!
Great video as always! I always learn something when I watch them. I own a SAM-7R, my first and only AK. Is the enhanced trigger from FIME(KVAR) worth installing? Thanks.
The trigger in your SAM7R is already an excellent trigger. Typically, those FIME mfg FCGs go into stamped receiver guns like the VEPR FM or SLR107R.
Misha I heard the current SAM offering are shipped with the single hook Arsenal USA Trigger but KVAR is selling the 3 Milled double hook trigger parts. Is it their way of saving/making money when people go and purchase these parts, after the rifle purchase?
You said you where a dealer
How can I get in touch with you
ozarkbeararms@gmail.com , yep been a dealer for over 10 years now. We used to post a link in every video, but youtube's policies forced us to remove it or get shutdown. So we complied.
This could not be a better timing
I am fixing to get one
The best ak I own is my sam7sf.
That's the exact model I want to get
We really like these milled imports....as if you couldn't tell by the video lol. Also have the SA-93, which we posted a video on a couple weeks ago....and the SLR100, which i bring out way too often as i love mine (hint, its coming up again in a future video too hehe).
@@petergagnon6851 good luck finding one. They are hard to find right now. Arsenal will eventually bring them back.
Mishaco, no need for a review. We know this is the best AK out there. Thank you anyway.
Thanks but not exactly a review...more of an FAQ reguarding which one someone should buy. People often ask me what's the difference between these or which one is best for them? While I can't tell that, i can at least show how they are different (and also similar).
Sorry i was talking about the under folder
I like the rifle but it's out of my price range for an ak
Sam7 or debanned SLR 95?
SAM7, easily.
Misha any particular reason why? Is it true that the SLR 95 used steyr barrels?
Barrels made by Steyr? no that's not true. Barrels manufactured in Bulgaria using Steyr technology? yes that was true for the SLR95 and is still true today for the SAM7R. As to why, the SLR95 was a ban era rifle, so no bayo lug, no threaded muzzle, and also no lower stock tang. Yes, these things can be added but why go through all that bother? The SAM7R can be had with all those features and 100% NIB. Push comes to shove, I'll take a new gun over a used one any day of the week, if that is the money's similar.
Misha gotcha. Thanks Misha for the valuable info!
It is not a basic AK. It is designed paratroopers or tank personnel
Own a Sam7 carbine turning into a type3
But its not much like a Type III. It has the lighter profile barrel, 90 degree gas block, really everything is wrong for a decent T3 clone. Better to look for a SA93, SLR96, or SA M-7 Classic.
@@misha5670 thanks for the reply, I do have a sa 93 might go that route, do you have a name for someone to do work and rebuilds?
@@zeme0556 Not during these days and times....maybe in 2021 when the world stops being crazy? I hope? *sigh*
@симона пайка Not in the US, please leave a link to the SAM7SF?
Excellent Video, very informative. Lousy camera work!
Kind of goes along with being blind and no longer having a cameraman lots of the time due to you know what this year. So we've done the best we could.
@@misha5670 You know people have told me I am a moron and I didn't believe them, but now you have confirmed it. I am a freaking moron!!!!! My apologies. It truly was the most informative video on that subject. Thanks.
