You are incredible. You allow us to see that every shot does not require the ball to check up. For example, you see a slop to the hole and then when the ball makes contact with the green, it turns into a putt (no wonder I’m a 12 handicap). You are an amazing teacher.
Thank you Michael! Yes that small draw shot with some practice can make short game a lot more predictable and when that happens you can chip it much closer.
I find that great golf instructional videos make me want to immediately go play golf. This was a GREAT video!! Thanks for the video Tyler - sub'd - keep 'em coming!
This is great content Tyler. I would love to see a similar chipping technique video for playing shots when the ball is sitting down in greenside rough.
@Tucson Jim I just know from coaching and measuring players. I use what makes it easier for a range of players to use when chipping from tour player to high handicaps. Phil has some of the best hands in the world so when he hits his shots it is what works for him. I have helped many players that have had the chipping yips from trying to apply Phil's ideas to there game. Just sharing what I have seen as patterns. Good luck with your game
Terrific content Tyler. Your videos really resonate and do a great job of explaining some touch and feel aspects in practical ways. Love it - keep ‘em coming
Tyler, for the first shot where would you feel the weight in your feet? For me, when I feel I take the hands out of it I always feel the weight on my back foot and the ball position slightly back.
Jay Johnson typically on a tight lie or fairway you’d want to keep weight a little more forward, coming out of the rough it helps to keep weight a little more bias towards the back foot. - from a playing lesson with Phil Mickelson
@@kourt2469 Yea, that's what I have found. I was struggling a little with tighter lies, but not with rough. Makes sense weight more forward, steeper angle of attack and better contact.
It depends on a couple things. Some players are best to stick with 56 and the spin is just as high as their 60. It just depends on how much loft is delivered.
When you start noticing you’re running into several shots a round that would be much easier to execute with a 60. If it’s only 1-2 times a round that you’d benefit from a 60 deg you’d be better off not having one and adding a club somewhere else in the bag.

I'd never thought of trackman as a great shortgame tool. You convinced me.
Yes it is a great way to confirm things that are working on. Thanks for watching.
Loving your instruction Tyler. So simple and all makes perfect sense.
Thanks from a Scotsman who lives in New Zealand.
Thank you very much! I hope life is great in New Zealand!!
Big fan of the way you teach. Thank you for posting this.
Thank you! Happy you enjoy it.

Okay you got it. I'll shoot one of these after Christmas.
Always looking forward to your daily vids Tyler. Keep them coming! 👍 good explanation btw.
Thank you very much!!

Hey tyler, can you do a video what to think about when chipping/pitching from different lies and from thicker and taller grass?
60 dynamic and 61 spin loft equals soft feet! Thanks Tyler would you consider a video explaining dynamic and spin loft?
I tend to chilidip my 10-25 yard chips. Not so much with longer pitches.
Tyler, what wedge and bounce number did you use on those shots?
Great! This info is generally hard to find but so valuable. I struggle to land the ball differently on command. Thanks.
You got it!
I love your instruction, thanks tyler
Thank you very much.
Tyler you say you like going up post ball - physically is it just body rotation that produces the "up"
Hands feel up for me and legs losing flex slightly
Loving your videos. Have you got a good flop shot off tight lie video?
Thank you. I'll add it to videos to shoot.
@@tylermcghiegolf Ha ha yes... I've detected that you probably have a long list of video requests!!

I like 60% lead foot. It would likely match your swing path better there.
@@tylermcghiegolf I'll go in test it out, thanks for the content mate!

At what point should mid hcp introduce a 60% to the wedges as for my level 56% is covering my skills. Does 60% offer more spin mostly ?

I wanna see how the pros hit that flop shot that backs up!
Yes those are incredible I'll add to the list and see what we can do.
