Greatest male vocalist in the world and it is not even close...And he has been for the past twenty five years. I have have seen David 11 times live from the front row, including two performances at his home for Barn Bash events. I have meant him and his family multiple times and he is truly a great talent and incredible humble.
@@queencerseilannister3519 I mean it's impossible to compare them tbh, they're both incredible singers. You could have an endless argument with yourself deciding who is better.
Opinions are subjective. Both are accomplished professionals at the top of the vocal game. These hard lined statements of fact are not facts. I get it; emotional connection to music is very strong and both these guys abilities foster that loyalty.
David is a music graduate of Baylor University in Texas. His professors wanted him to go into opera but David, being a Christian said no, he wanted to sing about God/Jesus. The awesome piano player in this video is the late Anthony Berger who died from a massive heart attack on a Gaither ship tour. I highly recommend you watch Davids video where he sings "No More Night"
23 plus years later, this is still the most incredible performance of OH HOLY NIGHT. There are others who do the song great justice but I doubt anyone will out perform this version. Of course David has performed this song live at a later time and it was spectacular too, but I will always concider this one the very best ever.
Yes 30 in the year 2000 this was performed and recorded live. He is about 53 now. He is just as great now as he was then. Truly a gift from God and given to God. You can experience his love for the Lord in every syllable of every word and note
Correction, David was 30. His birthday (and wife Lori) is October 21, 1969 and this was filmed in July of the year 2000. I can listen to this record over and over, gives me goosebumps. Love listening to him sing. This was in an auditorium in Alabama, USA.
More David please ! The Dream. No more night. Nessum Dorma. Mio Banbino Caro. Never walk Alone. I have Nothing. End of the beginning. And so many more. Greatest male voice on planet Earth !!

Great reaction. You have a new subscriber! I can barely hear the girl. Maybe get her closer to the microphone. Also some white noise you can get rid of, sounds like. :D
Please react to David Phelps singing: No More Night End of the Beginning Star Spangled Banner Let Freedom Ring We Shall Behold Him He’s Alive Just as I Am I Have Nothing
I don't know what happened to the volume but after less than a measure of music, it was like you or something turned it down. That ruins my listening experience because I too know this song and how capable David is in his interpretation of it.
Young man, why can't you just let her find out what's next on her own -- why do you think you need to prepare her for it? Did anyone say "watch this" when you were watching the first time? You took away half of the surprise my friend.
Try letting her speak, otherwise whats the point of getting her reaction. Plus your spoiling it by giving a play by play of whats coming next. Nobody in the audience had a play by play, just got to experience it they way it was meant to.

Dimash is the best, but man David is #2
@@queencerseilannister3519Not even close. David Phelps is the greatest singer to ever walk the earth. End of story.
We'll have to agree to disagree. Dimash is out of this World! @@MBGolfer

The guy right behind him in the red shirt and grey jacket is Mark Lowry who wrote Mary, Did You Know?
He was born in 1969, and this was done in 2020
This was closer to 2000.
This was done at the Alabama Theater in Birmingham, Alabama.
Christmas in the Country.
Now react to Celine Dion's and Charice Pempengco's versions of this song.
This was at Carnegie Hall in NY
David is 28 years old in this video!
