Anime and Manga characters tend to be built with crazy over the top in mind, they rarely have easy weaknesses and usually have powers that are beyond what you would expect. (granted not all anime characters just a lot of those most likely to be chosen for death battle)

If you watch Megaman NT Warrior, it’s a more accurate depiction of modern society from an old anime showing everyone using smartphones, credit cards and streaming movies on computers.
Japan didn't develop with an Abrahamic god peering over their shoulder, so they didn't develop the same issues with nudity and don't necessarily relate visible skin with sex. Japan is more comfortable showing, discussing, and depicting the body, and in fact, when a character is depicted with their skin showing, in Japanese culture it actually represents purity, rather than anything taboo.
Sadly, it won't change much. All it does is help Mega Man in the speed department and increase his already insane arsenal size. Astro is still way too strong, smart and durable for Mega Man to defeat.
I think the main thing is that that Astro is the more versitile fighter. Megaman usually wins with his numerous weapons and keeping his distance. Astro, on the other hand, will take a more direct approach and will just straight up fight someone.

Batman beat Captain America despite being out classed in strength and speed because his knowledge of martial arts exceeds Capts. Luke beat Harry for just having a scar on his head, and Dead pool only really won for having an extreme healing factor, but yeah a lot of them are outclassed in almost every way. Personally, I feel like there were some things forgotten here. Mega Man could have potentially frozen Astro Boy, or at least done something to him with ice, and slowed him down. Not to mention, in MM4, We're introduced to the Pharoah Shot, a solar charged high temperature energy blast with a pretty good kick. It's pretty hard hitting when Pharoah Man uses it, and he's inside a temple in the dead of night. Imagine what that could do under the full light of the Sun. Also, Mega Man had a lot more lasers than the mega buster, and a good amount of pretty devastating electrical attacks. Has astro boy been exposed to electrical shocks before?

I think the main thing is that that Astro is the more versitile fighter. Megaman usually wins with his numerous weapons and keeping his distance. Astro, on the other hand, will take a more direct approach and will just straight up fight someone.

All those people in the comments who think that Astro Boy ripped off Mega Man make me laugh. Astro Boy debuted a full 35 years before Mega Man. In fact, the creator of Mega Man, Inafune Keiji, openly acknowledges that the character was heavily inspired by Astro Boy.
Also, chances are that the two would actually be friends if they met for real. I'm going to assume that Mega Man was somehow being mind controlled and that forced Atom to fight him.

Every time a Death Battle finishes, they always tell us how outclassed the loser was, like it wasn't a fair battle.
+AstroManX100 Well in Link vs Cloud they said that Link was outclassed in strength and speed, and only really won with superior strategy. In Spawn vs Kratos Spawn won by using his anger against him. Batman beat Captain America despite being out classed in strength and speed because his knowledge of martial arts exceeds Capts. Luke beat Harry for just having a scar on his head, and Dead pool only really won for having an extreme healing factor, but yeah a lot of them are outclassed in almost every way.

Personally, I feel like there were some things forgotten here.
Mega Man could have potentially frozen Astro Boy, or at least done something to him with ice, and slowed him down. Not to mention, in MM4, We're introduced to the Pharoah Shot, a solar charged high temperature energy blast with a pretty good kick. It's pretty hard hitting when Pharoah Man uses it, and he's inside a temple in the dead of night. Imagine what that could do under the full light of the Sun. Also, Mega Man had a lot more lasers than the mega buster, and a good amount of pretty devastating electrical attacks.
